My recent cataract surgery was only a partial success. I was initially left with a crimped film over my left eye which he said he corrected with a laser treatment. The laser did not work because I still have some gel in this eye. As a result I have a permanent glow and the distance factor has not improved at all! He told me there was nothing that could be done.The mid range sight in my right has improved an I am able to read without glasses. I will certainly seek a second opinion to resolve this issue.

My grandmother got her surgery for her cataracts and she is now unable to see in both eyes. After the surgery she went back to him at he told her "I learned early in my career that the only patients that come back are trouble making complainers so go back to your optometrist order glasses and wear them when you want" turned on his heel and walked out of the room. Her vision is worse with the surgery than without. She can't drive at night and she would never recommend him

This man has ZERO bedside manner and is extremely offensive to diabetics, generalizing all diabetics to be the same. He also broke doctor/patient confidentiality by showing me someone else's pictures in their file and comparing me to them without their consent or knowledge.

I was going through a rough time, not taking care of myself. Dad passed a year and a half ago and and my wife followed him three months later. I remember Dad saying to me once, Joey, he called me Joey, if you don’t have anything good to say about anyone, don’t say anything at all.. that always resonated with me. Dad passed at 86, my wife at 75. So i was referred to Dr Eric Thompson. I found that it takes awhile to see him as he is booked up as it were. His staff puts you at ease, they realize the stress, anxiety that your going through. They put me at ease. Always a smile for you. Dr Eric Thompson himself was very professional and also made me feel comfortable. An eye specialist, surgeon. He possesses very special skills. My cateracts were done and i have a new life again. Not afraid of driving at night. Seeing the world as i did so many years ago. Thank you so much Dr. You deserve the recognition that you indeed again Deserve. Joe

Pushing Pauper

Not the greatest experience. Bedside manner is lacking and felt like I was being talked down to. Don't assume people are uneducated about their conditions when you know very little about their life story.
