Why the eyedrops? And why against my consent? I clearly said no, and the lady told me there would be a fee for another procedure if I didn't want the drops in my eyes. It might be 30$, but on welfare, it's 30$ I can use elsewhere! And they're painful drops, too. Also, very expensive. And the man at the end sounded like he was there to sell me a car! As in, i would have to pay for just about any little detail separately, where Greiche & Scaff adds in anti-glare / scratch for free with the frame and lenses. I do not recommend this place, and don't expect me to go back there!

Do NOT go here. They do not give the Pupillary Distance (PD) measure as they do not want them to be able to order their glasses online to save money. They would prefer you pay the inflated prices they charge for eyeglasses at their clinic. The simple truth is that the cost of lenses and frames are grossly overinflated. Online retailers have realized this, and are able to sell prescription lenses at lower prices while still making a profit. It is time to lower expectations of profit for the greater good. No one should be without eyeglasses with the appropriate prescription simply because they are unable to pay for it. I understand that they want to look out for their interests, but ethically there is no justification for the prices that are charged for prescription eyeglasses at brick and mortar stores. When you speak with them on the telephone they tell you that the Ordre des Opticiens du Quebec does not allow opticians to give the PD measurement, and that you can get the measurement by paying an administrative fee of $50. When you actually speak with the Ordre the story is very different. We simply went to Costco Opti-Club Pointe Claire, where we have filled prescriptions before, and there was no problem getting the measurement free of charge.

My husband and I were very impressed with our first visit at Donnelly Optical. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Corinne and Sue at the reception desk. Following a prelimunary eye exam with their technicians, Carolina and Shauna prior to meeting with Dr. Louise Hudson, who performed a very thorough eye exam and took our eye health history. After receiving my eye glass prescription , I was immediately assisted by Corinne Arfi and together we chose a very stylish and elegant frame. terrible experience. the optometrist charged me extra money. I complaint to the order of optometrist du Quebec. They told me if the optometrist did not advise you before exam or doing treatment, you can get refund. then this optometrist told the Order "I told the mom, she said it is ok!" Liar!!! I only knew it when the exam finished and they asked me to pay,I tried to discuss with them, but they insist on it. Because I did not want to argue with them just in front of my son, I paid it. Had to go back many times in order to get satisfactory result. First, incorrect prescription for distance in a progressive lenses. Eyes re-examined and was treated very rudely by Optometrist, I can't know why but I suspect that it could have been because I was added on at the end of the day on Friday. New glasses had to be returned because reading and distance part of progressive lense positioned too low causing me to have to tilt my head back uncomfortably in order to see clearly. Optician seemed unreceptive to complaint and when I became frustrated complained that it was early Monday morning for him to have to deal with the problem. This has been going on since September. Now I'm waiting for prescription sunglasses that had the wrong presciption and have to be redone. On the surface it's a very nice looking store, even the employees are well dressed but the service and product are very poor as well as over-priced. I will NEVER go again and DO NOT recommend them.
