Amazing Staff, we drive 2 hours just to get all our needs there. So helpful and just cant say enough great words about them.. Helpful, understanding, great selection. Even had my Mom with us, on our last visit and they fixed her noise pc's at no charge... Love them all

Had many great experiences here, and saw a couple great doctors. Unfortunately, they had a pair of glasses that i needed to pick up, and after coming in twice and the one girl was unable to find them, i said no worries, ill be back for another appt, and get them then. I went again for an appointment and no one mentioned the glasses and i had forgotten as well. They were sunglasses, and it was Winter, so i wasn't thinking about them at that time. This is after the calls they had made, to say my glasses were ready. No one ever said that i owed an amount for them. We have benefits and i thought we had sorted that all out at the time i picked up my other two pairs of glasses. Anyway, they sent me to collections. Never once heard from them, to tell me, by the way, we are waiting on payment, no notice in the mail, nothing! So, my credit score has plummeted, and just when my 10yr old car is out the door and i need my credit to by a new one, and now i cannot. So, thank you for the heads up! I could have easily mailed you a cheque for $300! I have been working hard at getting my credit score up, and now its bad. I don't even have the glasses and I'm now having to pay a creditor $300. Not happy with how this was handled. Any sort of communication about a payment outstanding would have been something you think would happen first. Very disappointed! You've not only lost my business, but my hubby's and his parents, that started going there because of my recommendations. Not anymore! We see a great doctor now in Bradford!

Fantastic experiences with South Barrie Eye Clinic. The staff and doctors are very accomodating, knowledgable, friendly and professional. They go out of their way to ensure that you understand the health of your eyes and take whatever means necessary to ensure that you are comfortable with your eye health and the care that you are recieving. Prices are fair too. a few years ago I had some concerns with my eyes and the staff and doctors went out of their way to ensure that I got appointments quickly and that I understood everything. They took extra time to explain things to me and answer my neverending (and probably stupid) questions without making me feel like i was burdening them. I can't say how much i apprecaited that. I would highly recommend South Barrie Eye Clinic.

Great experience UNTIL my glasses needed repair with anti glare coating speckling off. They don’t stand behind their product and blamed me for the defect after wearing them for 1.5 years. They are not scratched and I take care of $700 glasses! Honestly! I’ve worn glasses for 40 years and likely 10-11 pairs of glasses and never had this issue with anti glare coming off since that feature has been available. All I do is wear them, put on night stand, clean with glass cleaner every few days and wipe with special cloth. Not impressed. My family will not be back. That’s five patients bye bye.

Went in to get my eyes checked for the first time in about ten years. Their full exam is a bit more expensive than other places from what I've heard but the location and staff make up for it. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and Dr. List, who I saw, was excellent. They had a great choice of frames and had my lenses ready in an hour.

Had good experiences here a couple years ago and with a different doctor. They were willing to check old glasses from other locations and take the time to help you out and even adjust the fit of other glasses. This time was not the case as I admitted I was buying glasses online. Was given the wrong prescription, returned to check my glasses I ordered online and was told they wouldn't since I didn't buy them there, so re-booked an eye exam and had to bring my glasses to get checked....hmmm. Was told by reception and optometrist I probably had the wrong PD, ordering online wasn't good..second eye exam I got a new prescription, optometrist said she didn't want to give me this stronger one originally since my eyes had changed so much and then said it probably won't make a difference...so I ordered the cheapest glasses I could find online to make sure the prescription was accurate and IT IS, so now I will re-order the glasses I originally bought with my correct prescription. I had asked at the store if they measure PD before or after they order glasses there and they said after because it can change depending on the glasses (I dont think my distance between pupils will change based on glasses I select but ok). Thanks for making me waste money! Sorry that I dont have benefits and ordering online is my best option but I got my eye exam from you. I also dont know why I wasn't given the option of a transitional or progressive (not sure the proper term) prescription since I have had reading and distance prescriptions before...dr said we can focus on one or the other.

I have been going to South Barrie for years. I don't know why I didn't switch over sooner!!! I love the people here. Love the fact I get my glasses processed and fitted right there! There is no sending glasses away. The safety protocols they have in place during the pandemic make me feel so safe and at ease it's nice to know they care about their customer's safety! Great business with a personal touch! Thank you for all that you do!

So this is probably the only bad review ive ever taken time out of my day to write. After going frame shopping to multiple locations around Barrie, this place was the last stop for the day. After asking questions about type of lenses, extra protection, pricing, insurance etc... i started collecting different frames to try on in a room without a mask. At this point ive been in the store for about 25-30mins. I was then approached and was asked if i had a valid prescription and the answer was no as the last one i had was almost 3 yrs ago (skipped a year bc of covid). I was told that i was not allowed to try the frames because i did have an current eye test. So why not let me try on the frames and if i liked one i would then book an eye test the next available appoitment to get a updated precription? Instead i was kicked out (not literally, but thats how it felt). Out of the 4 stores i went to today and all the frames i tried on, not once was i told i needed an updated precription to try on frames. Anyways i have a feeling why it happened but not going there regardless it left a terrible taste ...

Service here is beyond excellent . Dr’s and staff make me feel like I’m the most important person in the world every time I go in. Plus they caught a serious condition and then made sure I got the help I needed to save my eyesight . I can’t thank or recommend them enough.

I purchased very fancy frames at this place for my prescription sunglasses . I did that before the year end and never had a chance to use them in the mainly overcast months of the winter . Started using them only in March to find out how thick and heavy the glasses are. Came back to the place looking for some other options/ solutions to this problem and was clearly pushed away after spending more than 500 dol . They just didn't care. They didn't advise on the lenses options at the time of buying and didn't explain return or satisfaction policies . Left in the darkness after they sold me probably the lenses they have the best business on. I should have gone rather to Costco and would be happy with the glasses purchased there as they always stay behind the product . Do yourself a favour avoid this place as they are seeing your money only . Will gladly share this experience with many people in Barrie I know to successfully discourage them from visiting this clinic. Very unhappy, use to be a client, short of CAD 500. and with very uncomfortable glasses

Let me start off by saying that all the doctors at this location are amazing !The staff were friendly, I ordered some contacts that never came, I followed up three times & after 2 weeks I called annoyed looking for them as I was told it would only take three days for the order to come in! I was told someone had called me to let me know they didn’t have the brand anymore ! LOL I never got that call & Staff didn’t seem to care 

I recommend South Barrie Eye Clinic. Staff is very helpful and have a wide selection of frames. I was looking to replace my broken frame, couldn't find anywhere. They had the exact frame and put on the lenses in few minutes!

Several years ago I would have given you a 5 star. Now, not so much. I am part of the essential services that had to stay open throughout this pandemic. I work on a Farm in an office. We have forgein workers from Jamaica who all go on quarantine once arriving on the farm. I have not been within 6 ft of the most recent arrivals. Many companies have forms to fill out which is fine. But for someone who just received their benefits card and needs new glasses to be turned away because that person works on a farm with someone who has been outside of canada in the last 14 days but has not been anywhere near them but outside and further then 6 ft is ridiculous. I was wearing a mask like your policy states and have non of the symptoms. I dont know why you bothered to open your doors if your going to turn people away

Was a customer for years but they don’t care anymore. My wife got a new eye exam and glasses from them and the frame she chose was bent and sat crooked on her face when they did the pupil measurement...WRONG for progressive lenses. Also, no offer of different quality of lenses. When she picked up her glasses no one bothered to try and adjust the frame ( kind of late now ) and sent her out the door with the cheapest generic case ( not the brand of frame ). Why trust you vision to a place that doesn’t care. At least LensCrafters will give you a full refund if you’re not satisfied or the glasses weren’t made right.
