The doors down ñot open automatically, though outside of that it is wheelchair accessible. Very pleasurable environment, clean and air-conditioned. Optometrist are nice and helpful. They explain everything and are very knowledgeable.

My whole Family see Dr.McLean for our eye care and have nothing but amazing things to say about him and his staff he is great with my 3 children as well as my husband and myself. His staff always have friendly and welcoming smiles when you enter the office and they always make sure you have all your questions answered. I will continue recommending cedar point optometry.

The team at Cedar Pointe Optometry squeezed me in for an emergency appointment. I was quickly diagnosed and they arranged for me to be seen at St. Michael's Emergency Eye Clinic, where I underwent surgery to prevent a disastrous outcome. Chelsea, Liz and Dr. Hamilton - thank you thank you thank you! I had been a happy client previously for my 'regular' eyecare, but this incident cements me as a client for life :)

Saw Dr. McLean - hands down the best optometrist I've ever seen. Friendly, personable, and patient, all the staff were great. Glasses were ready very quickly, and the business has adapted to Covid regulations efficiently - something that after a year many businesses still haven't. 10/10 would go again.

Dr. Hamilton was abrupt, intimidateing and I found him rude. I asked a simple question "could the pain that comes from my neck up the back of my head and into my eye be nerve pain. He got extremely rude and said there are NO NERVES TO YOUR EYE. I beg to differ DOCTOR. He leaned forward intimidating me with his size and overbearing attitude for me asking a simple question. He brought up the BLOOD FLOW CHART and showed that to me......hmm where are the nerves that move the eye etc. I went to them because my left eye vision was deterioraing rapidly. His Diagnosis was a hole in my macula. a hole in my macula stated that there was nothing that could be done for it. That is an outright missinformative opinion that he should not have made as an optomotrist. By the time I got home 15 min later my daughter sent me the web page about macular holes. They CAN BE TREATED and should BE TREATED to avoid blindness. Thanks to my daughter I will now visit with an opthamologist and I will never go back to Dr. Hamilton. My prescription was not offered to me when I left, which I feel is wrong. When they e mailed it to me there was a stamp on the bottom that implied - something to this effect that if one uses their prescription there would be extra charges. I found that also to be deceptive. Me taking the meaning that if I did not get my glasses there that there would be an extra charge??????? I asked for a written report by Dr. H regarding the hole in my macula. I am still waiting which I doubt I will ever receive.

Great service. Called for eye exam and made appointment. They brought me in on time and since I've been there before, they had my prescription history. My prescription has changed quite a bit, so I went with two separate pairs of glasses(one for office/computer use and one for general/driving use). Picked up both pairs and they are both excellent. I was on time for a 2:40 PM appointment today and at 3:40 PM was still waiting to see the Optometrist.No explanation for the hour plus wait was given when I advised that I was leaving but was asked if I wanted to rebook...LOL... Clearly no respect for my time. My time is as valuable as yours. Taking Customers for granted is a way to lose them one at a time. I won't be back....

I am beyond thankful and can’t recommend cedar pointe optometry enough for the care they have provided me with! I would like to recognize Dr. Paul McLean specifically as he has been with me since day one of my laser eye journey. I got my laser done at barrie lasik and was recommended to use Dr. McLean post op for all my follow ups and I am SO glad I did! I ended up getting PRK at barrie lasik and due to this type of surgery... it requires a bit more follow up compared to normal laser eye surgery. Since day one, cedar pointe answered all of my laser eye questions and made the process so easy! They booked me within 24 hours post op, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, etc after my surgery. On day one after my surgery my eyes were extremely sensitive to light and my vision was still blurry secondary to the PRK surgery. However, Dr. McLean was very patient and very encouraging and led me on the right path of recovery and healing. He made sure I had all the appropriate eye drops set up and did multiple tests to ensure full recovery. Although my recovery was slow, he shared so much knowledge and expertise and ensured me that my vision would get better and that the pain and sensitivity would go away! And he was SO right! He had so much knowledge about PRK/laser that it took all my fears away. He always makes sure to explain things in so much detail and in a way that anyone could understand. I can’t say how much I am also thankful for his professional service and therapeutic communication. I can’t recommend him enough!! He has made this eye journey so much better! As a nurse and firefighter, I am SO happy I can go to both jobs with no vision limitations! He definitely saved my eyes and I am forever thankful and speechless. Also would like to thank Liz and Steph at the desk who are also AMAZING! I can’t say enough wonderful things about this office and I hope everyone in barrie uses them to deal with their eyes no matter the issue! I have complete trust in them!

My experience at Cedar Point Optometry was amazing!!! It is always a daunting task to bring 2 kids under 4 to any type of appointment. However within seconds of meeting Dr. Kim Krmpotic my kids were completely engaged. She Is so great with young children (all patients) while explaining to the parents what exactly is going on during the examination. I highly recommend Dr Krmpotic, she is truly an exceptional optimist, extremely knowledge and her personality is top notch.

Doctor is very friendly, but staff very unfriendly. I told the eye doctor I wasn't sure if I wanted to order contacts or not, so the doctor kindly told the receptionist to discuss any further contacts information with them. My mother asked if I should get samples to make sure the contacts fit properly, but the staff responded very rudely saying I as the daughter should already know this information from the doctor. Her tone was very rude and the follow up person that knew the information was also rude as well. Hetr eye contact was very hostile and I felt very uncomfortable. There was no need to respond so rudely and take any offense to the questions we asked. As a client at this office for 10 yrs or more, I don't feel comfortable asking questions to your staff. After discussing it with my mom, I decided I wanted to order contacts. It cost $300 to pay for contacts, as something costly as that, I don't find that it was wrong to double check if I needed further samples to makes sure they fit properly.

I have been going to the Barrie location for many years and Dr. McLean is absolutely wonderful to receive eye care from. He is thorough in his explanations of eye health and what is best for your vision. Everyone is very polite and personable and I highly recommend this practice if you are looking for an optometrist!

From my own experience and the experiences of other family members, everything that the optometrist saw, using the technology was explained well, carefully and clearly. The entire office staff is friendly, knowledgable and efficient. The selection of glasses was extensive and I particularly appreciated the high quality of glass used in the glasses as well as the wide selection of glasses suitable for smaller, adult faces.

I would give 10 stars if I could! Absolutely fantastic! I just had my first visit and I will be switching permanently. Thorough exams with high tech equipment and digital imaging I have not experienced before. So much more than just a prescription and glasses! Dr. Krmpotic is so lovely and in addition to explaining her findings, she took the extra time to answer any questions I had. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and they made the extra effort to fit me in for a same day appointment! Direct billing, huge selection of eyewear, I honestly cannot say enough good things about Cedar Pointe Optometry. Try them, you’ll love them!

After moving to Barrie looking for a new optometrist, I found Cedar Pointe Optometry. Coming into my eye exam, they were nothing short of amazing and went above and beyond answering all of my questions! Once I received my new prescription, they took the most time assisting me in picking out my new frames(so patient while I sat deciding between my two final choices). I was anticipating my new glasses taking 10-14 business days, and to my surprise I received a call 2 days later that my frames were ready for pick up!! Smoothest transaction and most delightful experience. Will recommend to anyone in the Barrie area and further.

A line was crossed when it was requested that a -patient-, -client-, customer change or delete a review which was written in good faith (at the invitation of the clinic via email) with the facts I had available to me. After careful discussion with family and friends, I have edited my review to remove a particular word, but that we are also, no longer comfortable with being customers of Cedar Point Optometry. **Edited original** Staff and Dr McLean are wonderful. Never have had any complaints. They are great with emergencies and people with special needs. Clean, bright offices, with good covid protocols. Unfortunately though, we will no longer be able to use them as our insurance provider says that there have been multiple instances where they must protect themselves and their clients against claims associated with the clinic and those working there.

During this pandemic I broke the nose piece on my glasses and after calling Cedar Point Optometry had it fixed. Nancy looked after me (contactless drop off and pick up) and now I'm good to go. After several visits to this office explaining how my field of vision was decreasing. Both Mr. Hazlett and Mr. Hamilton failed to diagnose my detached retina . They assured me everything was fine. After a visit to a different optometrist in Barrie he found my retina had been detached for sometime. I am disappointed Cedar Point did not at least recommend me to a specialist . Had they done this I am told I would have had a good chance at keeping good vision in my left eye. As it is my left eye has been pretty much blind for a few years now. The odd thing is how fast the eye Dr. from the other office diaganosed me.if they have such fancy equipment why could they not diagnose my detached retina ?

Highly recommended. Always professional and clean. Dr. Krmpotic has seen my daughter for the past 7-8 years. I had brought her in at 3 years old, concerned about an eye turn (strabismus), and she has seen us through the entire process and made sure that this was corrected. Dr Krmpotic has such a high skill set and level of knowledge that I learn something every time we see her. The entire team here goes above and beyond!
