Upon scheduling an appt I asked for only the primary/owner of practice and was assured Dr. Schwartz and Dr. Goldban were equal partners but that is not the case, Dr. Schwartz is a semi retired older person whose diagnose and treatment was so off that it scares me if he were to do any surgery. With my well advanced cataracts in both eyes he stated to make an appt to test eyes for glasses as glasses could fix the cataracts - come on with growths over both eyes glasses cannot remove said cataracts. Upon asking for Dr. Goldban I was told he first referred to Dr. Schwartz. Dr. Schwartz may be well beyond his usefullness. The staff was wonderful and kind.

The annual visit was fine; I was called in only 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, which in doctor time seems to be the norm. My significant issue is the problems with electronic communications, both with trying to schedule an appointment (voicemail full, online booking didn't work, then later it did, etc--took 4 attempts to get through to an actual human, and when I did, it was Rebecca calling me to tell me that the online booking appointment I got for October WITH A CONFIRMATION was already taken and I'd have to rebook for November). Then I got an email on 11/8 to confirm my 11/15 appointment, which I confirmed. Then on 11/14 in the morning, I got an email to confirm my appointment, which I AGAIN. An hour later, I got a TEXT asking me to confirm my appointment, which I did again. Then at 3:50pm on 11/14, I got a call from Rebecca leaving me voicemail to confirm my 11/15 appointment. When I called back, her computer froze up, so it took over 5 minutes for her to get in to CONFIRM MY APPOINTMENT FOR THE FOURTH TIME. Rebecca blamed it on COVID issues, but I've never had any experience like that with any other doctor, ever, in my 67 years. Let's say I'm displeased.

I had surgery on my right eye yesterday to remove an aggressive pterygium. Dr. Goldban is an amazing doctor. His staff in Palm Desert are very attentive and kind. The wait time is short. The staff at El Mirador Surgery Center is amazing as well. I have absolutely no complaints. I highly recommend Dr. Wallace Goldban.

First the office staff was very diligent in following procedures to avoid Covid. The technician who started my eye exam, the lady who helped my select a frame, the front desk staff and Dr. Goldban were all professional and careful to explain what they were doing and the results of the exam.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Very manufacturing flow-line type of place. You are lucky if you are seen 15 minutes at best. Pushing sales instead of care. Rushed on my eye exam, late on my glasses order and now I am left with a worthless set of glasses because a professional eye exam was not given to begin with. Not going back
