I have been using the emergency services at the Victoria County Memorial hospital for over 20 years and cannot say anything but the best about all of the Doctors and nurses who work there. The xray tech and the women in the lab are very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of their work!!

The receptionist at the hospital is an utter disgrace. She is the rudest receptionist I have had the distinct displeasure to come across in a very long time. I would not donate one cent to this hospital foundation and you can be assured that I will be voicing this opinion to others. Shame on the management of this hospital for allowing this type of behaviour in a professional setting. I am offended that my tax dollars are supporting such a sub-standard employee.

(US citizens traveling in Canada) I took my husband to this hospital in an emergency shortly after arriving in town. They immediately recognized a serious situation, treated him quickly, and after stabilizing his condition they facilitated ambulance transport to the larger regional hospital. The staff were professional, kind and helpful; one of the staff volunteered to drive 50 miles to the regional hospital so I could follow her car and not get lost in this unfamiliar area (she even gave me the coins necessary for the hospital parking). I am thankful we were near this hospital at the time, one of the few in this very rural area.

Showed up with our 4 year old with acute abdominal distress while on vacation. From admitting to release staff were fantastic. It was extremely busy but the staff were able to get our daughter in and seen by a dr very quickly regardless how busy the rest of the emergency was. The nurse was beyond comforting to our daughter and the dr was great with rapid testing and treatment that resulted in only being at the hospital a short time and continued on with our vacation. One of the best experiences in healthcare ever thanks to the staff
