Love this place! The staff are very friendly and personable. Great selection of different frames and even lens types. They provide direct billing to insurance companies. They are also honest when helping you pick out a pair of glasses and will tell you what looks good and what doesn’t. (Which is nice for a change). The doctors are great too! They will also come out and help you look for glasses and make suggestions for what type of lenses will be best for your needs. My glasses always come in super quick without any issues. Been going here since they opened, even after I moved 3 hours away. I highly recommend this place!

I was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes and they arranged a consultation quickly. In a few months, I went from a consultation to surgery in both eyes. I have excellent vision in both of my eyes (without glasses) and I am ecstatic! They also recommended proper sunglasses to protect them. I was so impressed with this clinic! I had been to an eye specialist 2x about issues with my eyes and eyelids and both times I got the worst service and a 'foot out the door' approach to my visit and walked away with a prescription to mask the discomfort and no answers. Dr. Aujla gave me answers to all my issues better than the eye specialist had done and took the time to answer any questions I had. Erin was the frames pro - she instantly picked out a frame that would be perfect for my face shape and after all the ones i picked out, she was right in the end - she has incredible talent at choosing frames! So, let me start with the fact that they have walk-ins available more than any other optometrists in the park. Second, I have never met a single staff member at any other optometrist that was as helpful and friendly as Visionary. I had only been there once to have a look at my options. They were helpful and understanding of my budget. Quickly suggested a frame that fit perfect and was in my price range. Not a single upsale was attempted when I told her I was looking for something similar to what I had and am frugile. I left because I was still 2 weeks earlier than my benefits plan would allow. Through discussions, the staff realized I eligible for my company sponsored safety glasses. We discussed options and I left, planning to return in 2 weeks. Let me tell you the surprise when I returned to find the same staff member remembered me by name, andaremembered the frames I had picked. Completed everything as per a normal exam and measurement. Was told 4-6 weeks and my glasses would be ready. Less than a week I received a call to pick up my new glasses!!???? I would recommend Visionary to any family or friend that is looking for a touch above.

I have always had such positive experiences here, my last visit may have been the best. Both my kids needed new glasses and Erin was so patient with them as they tried on almost every pair of kids glasses. When we found a pair that worked for my youngest but the arms didn't work she was quick to help with a suggestion and a quick fix. Part of our order was back ordered and they were very great to keep us updated on when it would be in. I'll definitely continue going here and would recommend them to anyone with kids! I don't normally leave reviews here but feel like I had to leave one of this place. These guys are the best. I moved from Edmonton a couple of years ago and every year when I come home for Christmas to visit my family, I make sure I still get my eyes checked here. They always are accommodating to get me in as soon as possible no matter when I come back and always ask me about any issues I am having and always have a solution. After years of coming here they could have just done the basics and call it a day but they noticed a slight adjustment in one of my eyes and they put every effort to to make sure I had the right prescription, without rushing me or trying to get me out of there. All for a 0.5 adjustment, but they wanted it to be precise without looking bored or annoyed like a lot of other places I've been. I like that kind of care and people who treat you like you're not just some random customer. They also indulged me (because I'm a bit of a princess) when I tried on every pair of glasses so I could see which specs appeal to me, and when I tried on my contacts they found which ones was my pupils choice. Thanks again guys and I'll see you at Christmas!

From then our experience was seamless. Between choosing frames, the initial exam, then the doctor herself and back to Audra for the purchase, it could not have been smoother. It's taken me months to write this review, of which I wish I could give 0 stars. I saw Dr. Delhorn in an emergency on a Thursday after taking my mom to the ear clinic at the wellness centre in the same building. My eyes were shaking, couldn't focus, and I told her I couldn't see text on the computers at work for three whole days before seeing her. She charged my insurance to perform the full excruciating eye exam, and brushed me off telling me it was "eye muscle strain". Well, let's just say the ophthalmologists at the Royal Alex Hospital said they wish they could "slap her" for saying that to me as there is no such thing as eye muscle strain... Dr. Delhorn brushed me off and told me I was fine. I wasn't fine. I spent the whole long weekend (Friday-Monday) with a bandana over my eyes, and then my eyes were pointing in different directions by Saturday night (literally, think of a chameleon) and I actually couldn't see. The following Tuesday, I saw my usual optometrist office in Edmonton, which thankfully gave me a free urgent exam, and they referred me to the eye clinic at RAH that day and I was fast-tracked through ER. Turns out, I was having my first ever MS episode, which resulted in optic nerve damage from not IMMEDIATELY being sent to the hospital. That said, if you're having eye health issues, don't see Dr. Delhorn.

DUE to Covid protocols in this store I had to wait over a week to get my my new glasses fitted. Sufficient to say the fitting was not satisfactory. I had on occasion during visits for other medical requirements in the SINERGY center in the past and dropped by the VISSIONARY center for tune ups and cleaning of my ageing classes and was always received with smiles and a can do attitude. REMEMBERING this experience I took my new glasses over hoping for a DROP IN adjustment and within thirty seconds I was in the chair and a happy professional was adjusting my new specs. I had said earlier I would pay whatever fees they might require but I was quickly informed “no charge sir and don’t worry about the parking you will be out of here in a flash ... and I was. I have been wearing glasses me entire life. I cant say enough about the customer care I received at this clinic. Both Doctors were able to answer all my questions and made sure all of my needs were met. The opticians were extremely knowledgable and knew exactly what type of progressive lens I needed and what frames fit my small head . They also did the most amazing job at educating me how to use progressives because I had troubles for a couple days. But after visting them once they adjusted the glasses and assured me that any change in my prescription would require presistant use. After a few more days and wearing them all day long my vision has improved and theses are the best glassaes I have ever worn, my vision is incredible. Not to mention this clinic encourages adjustments and cleanings. I have been in twice to have them cleaned and they seem to really care about you and the condition that your glasses are in . You can tell that the staff are happy and the energy is so positive. Thank you again for caring.

Went from a 5 star, to 2 star, back to a 5 star review. Very friendly staff and great doctors. They are great with young kids and treated us well while we were there. Unfortunately a couple weeks later I called back with some concerns about my eyewear and contacts and the follow up service was less great. I was not properly given all my options when choosing new lenses and also was misled regarding what certain coatings do with the lens. Overall I was left with a poor experience. After being contacted by Shannon regarding my experience, we were able to rectify the problem of the miscommunication and they went out of their way to correct my problem. I can easily say I would recommend them once again.

This place is heavily focused on pressure sales. The eye exam seemed to go alright, but after that, it was all about purchasing a pair of glasses. The optician/secretary or whatever her role was, was dumbfounded when I asked about getting extra coatings on the lenses (e.g. Crizal), showing a major lack of knowledge about a basic product that can be seen in TV commercials. Pressure sales are one of the biggest turnoffs of any company. This place gets 2 stars only because it was clean and had a decent selection of glasses. But bad customer service can ruin all of that.

My visit was some time ago but i felt it was important to give some feedback. While getting vision checked the machine you look into to check your vision kept fogging up. This occurred as different lens were being used to check vision. The room was cool which i can assume was part of the issue along with putting warm moist eyes against a cool machine. It was frustrating to me and the optician. After wiping the lens 3-4 times the frustrated optician put a different screen/ lens for me to look at, asked me if it was clear and that was it. It was the quickest eye check in my 40+ years of wearing glasses. The front counter staff are good and respond appropriately to questions. There are much cheaper options for purchasing glasses so don't feel that you need to buy glasses here. I'll be trying another facility just to see what's out there.
