I currently see Dr. wong and he is great but one of reception gals very abrupt. Does not wait for you to finish asking questions before she gives answer over the phone. Politeness and courtesy go a long way.

Dan Fehr

Taken my father there for many visits. The staff is always kind, considerate and professional.

For Cloudbreak Eye Centre. I brought my mom for follow up check up and twice we have to wait for 2 hours despite having an appointment. They are taking patients more than they could acccommodate.

This cenre and the staff are incredibly awesome. I went in with a macula hole. The whole process from start to finish was seamless. Every person, every eye specialist were professional and knowledgeable. I can't thank Dr Geoff Williams enough. He is an exceptional doctor. Every step was explained to me, every question answered. I can't recommend this place enough.

Dr. Ells and all the staff treat my grandmother amazingly! It's very stressful for her to go in every month but the team make her visits worthwhile. Only not 5star because the new parking system is horrible..

Look at the Frozen lemonade from the cafeteria... 3.75... what a joke!

Absolutely Dreadful New Parking System! I really regret having to post a negative review of an otherwise wonderful facility and staff that have been looking after me very well for the last six years. Unfortunately an massively user unfriendly pay parking system has been implemented. Signs direct users to pay in the lobby, BUT the payment machine is installed in the confined rear vestibule, making it so crowded with the lineup for the single machine that it presents a gauntlet for leaving patients and companions - many with visual and mobility issues, many frail. While lined up for the machine I observed that many of those ahead of me had difficulty with the machine. After all visual Impairments are common in the patient population. Patient safety demands that the payment machines be installed in areas where they will not create congestion. There is ample space in patient waiting areas. Instruction handouts, including in large print, need to be available at all reception areas so that patients can check in first, then decide how to pay either by machine, phone or smartphone. Of course an ample grace period needs to be allowed. After my appointment, I visited Mountain Equipment Coop. After some years of difficulty with their parking payment system, MEC is now on the city ParkPlus system. In some fifteen seconds I had my parking payment completed with their app on my phone. I really don't want to have to install another app, especially as smaller operators are vulnerable to hacking of their payment systems. Hopefully SAEC can change over to ParkPlus, which already has many Calgary region residents as subscribers and has a good record of transaction security. Update: I parked on the street and found that there is also a parking payment machine in the front lobby which is much easier to access than the one in the back. People with mobility, vision or frailty issues should use the front lobby to avoid congestion in the rear lobby.

Its horrible. Parking is 3 hr minimim. No option for an hour. No sanitizer at the pay machines. You are herded around 2- 3 times before seeing dr. Its like an assembly line. Busy busy ++ always except saturdays . that day appt is only 1 + hours instead of 2.5 hrs. Dr felding ( might be spelled wrong) was condescending , impatient if you ask any questions and chastized a 90 year old for saying sh_t . wow!!. Dr adadiac in the mitchell eye ctr which is in the same building but not part of the large assembly line machine of the 2nd floor. Ask to go to mitchell eye ctr on the first floor if you need eye care. They are patient. They allow you to ask questions.

This review is only in regards to Dr. Kassam, not any of the other staff at this centre. Dr. Kassam was dismissive, unattentive, and completely misdiagnosed my condition. This led to being given a prescription that made things worse, not better, impacted my work performance, and cost me a lot of unnecessary time, money and suffering. Dr. Kassam is terribly incompetent and should not be practicing - my condition of dry eye has a simple solution, now that it has been properly diagnosed by a competent doctor. I do not recommend Dr. Kassam. Your mileage may vary.

Shouldn't have to pay for parking at a doctor's office! Bad experience makes me think twice about going there!

My first visit to the Southern Alberta Eye Center was 5 October 2020 for a retinal tear, found by Dr. Chris of Ranch Market Eye Care in Strathmore on 3 October 2020. Dr. Williams and staff conducted tests and also performed laser surgery on the tear, all on 5 October. Follow-up exam by Dr. Williams on 23 October showed satisfactory healing. All down the line, I was treated with courtesy and professionalism. Kudos and my highest recommendations to all involved. Thank you.

Jesse Carnecer

Had my cataract operation, and I can say they have an awesome, efficient and friendly team. Thanks for a wonderful experience to Ashley who prep me and Dr. Kassab who did a fantastic job on my eye.

When Dr Culver was my eye doctor I was in an out within an hour at the most. My last appointment I made for 8am so I could go to work by 10am. Got my eyes dilated at 8am and sat for an hour only to be told it would be at least an other hour. I left and will never go back EVER.

Lynda Hueston

Expect to wait at least 2 hours past scheduled appointments to see Dr. Ells. Unacceptable. Techs are quick.

Recently i was refereed to this location to have a special eye measurement complete to gauge a growth in the back of my eye. Kinda scared and busy with work. i can only book appointment for Thursday and Fridays, Office hours are Mondays to Fridays. This is the last time i am calling this office. After the third call to my own doctor at the Gimble eye center, they agreed to allow me to come in on one of my days off. Lindsay at the Front counter/Office manager gives me nothing but attitude and unprofessional comments and huffs and puffs, and say things like i am trying to help and then them blames me for inconveniencing her. I never asked for this and she is just so rude. I am sure if the doctors she works work knew how she treats people in the service industry i would be ashamed frankly. Horrible people skills.

The medical Staff and Doctors get a 5+. The pay parking system is a total gong show and a pathetic joke, gets a 0.

This is a state of the art facility - we Southern Albertans are very fortunate to have this available to us. Everything is clean and well organized. The parking and C train access are excellent. Also, it is so convenient for patients to be able to access diagnostic and surgical services in one place. This will forever be my destination for my eye care and for that of my family.

Jon Kirby

You get a one star for the simple fact I shouldn't have to pay to park at a medical facility. Im not coming here for fun and entertainment, in here because my son has to come here or go blind.

Eileen Carey

As this was my first visit I didn’t know what to expect, I was told there would be paid parking and given an estimate of the length of appt. although I interacted with 6 or 7 different people everyone treated me courteously.

lisa brechtel

It’s shocking...parking fees which require seniors to be walking back and forth from their vehicles to get their plate number, looking all over for the ticket machine (conveniently hiding, and all the while the parking guy is outside taking pictures and feeling hoods to see if they are still warm (seriously??). Handing out tickets while our seniors are navigating the ice trying to get to the stupid machine....you guys should be ashamed of yourselves for such a money grab!

Joanne Petersen

Excellent

I wish I could give them a negative!! I was told I could be blind in 24 hours if I didn’t do the laser. So within a week they had me in. When I returned for my follow up examination the bad eye needed to be done over again. I went back 2 weeks later, sat for about 3/4 hour past my appointment time, then was dialated , waited about another 1 1/2 hours. asked the ladies at the desk, none should be working in public they are so rude!! I was told I had the laser!! I said I would know so after a 15 minute argument agreed with me, told me I was out of line so it would take another 2 hours before they could get me in!! I left and would never recommend this place to anyone.
