My appointment was at 8:50 am , was in early and when I came out it was at 10:10 am. Called in at 9:20 - Doctor is not in at that point, the technician do some tests. She puts me in a room puts drops to dilate my pupil. This was never discussed and I had driven to this appointment. Doctor walks in at 9:49 am checks the records and says they missed one test and he walks out. One of them grab me for an eye scan and I come back to see the doctor and he says you are all good, we will see you next year. Questions: Why do we have appointments booked, if the doctor is seeing me only after an hour? What was the purpose of dilating my eyes? Why was this not informed prior to the appointment? Why was one test missed, hence delaying the process? If the doctor is late, I appreciate an open communication as what is happening and what is to be expected. Respect each others time. If I have taken my time to write this it is because this is one of worst experience I have ever had.
There are a lot of rough reviews on here, so I wanted to share my positive experience! While booking my appointment, I was told to expect at least a 2 hour visit. They also let me know they were planning on dilating my eyes, so bring sunglasses or plan ahead for a ride. The office is quite busy, but I didn't wait long in the waiting room before I was brought back for initial testing. The majority of my visit was either doing prelim tests with the tech or my exam with the doctor. Dr. Ragan is a lovely human & doctor - he walked me through the tests and his thoughts during the appointment. Not all doctors take the time to explain things, so I really appreciated that - I'd happily recommend him to anyone! The whole appointment took about an hour and 15 minutes. I had a quick follow-up the next day and was in and out of the office within 30 minutes. Be kind to the care staff and give them a chance~
My doctor saw me for less than 10min for the initial consult and basically cut me off and sent me on my way rather rudely. I'm sure he thought I was fine before the appt started based on his comments but I wouldnt be seeking out a specialist if nothing was wrong. I didnt get to ask any questions. The office seemed to be undergoing new mgmt and it seemed tense in the atmosphere. When you are sitting there for 2hrs with nothing to do but listen to the staff, you can hear the drama.
My annual check-up Appointment start to finish was only 1 hour; Service is great, the techs are courteous and professional. Dr. Cherif always listens to any concerns and takes the time to answerer all my questions with detailed explanations.
I see that a bunch of other people have issues with the staff. I can't speak to their experiences, but I've been here a couple of times, and have found the staff to be nice. I don't think they're any better or any worse than any other clinic I've ever been to. I agree that the wait times are a bit annoying, but I've not experienced anything like the waits others have had. Maybe it's because I was enjoying watching Planet Earth they play in the waiting room, which, as an aside, is a great way to pass time. The tech staff (I'm sorry, I don't know if you're nurses, techs, or otherwise) were all very friendly, kind, and professional. Dr. Cherif has been very nice as well. She was quick to diagnose my concerns, and had an effective treatment plan in place (I had excessive scar tissue on my cornea). I, again, can't speak to other doctors at the clinic, but Dr. Cherif is fantastic. Only reason I'm giving a 4 instead of a 5 is because I do agree the wait times are a bit longer than expected. But they absolutely weren't as long as others have reported, so take that how you will.
Looking for another eye doctor if you have a choice.
My appointment was at 3.30 didn’t get in until 5.30 worst eye clinic ever.
They make you wait for hours, even if you have an appointment. Worst customer service. They don’t respect others time.
Went here in a state of emergency as I had a piece of metal lodged in my eye from work. After standing in line while the receptionist argued with another client in front of me I approached the desk and was told unless I was an existing patient at their clinic they would not help me at all. The receptionist was very rude and dismissive. I am not a client here and after this experience I would not even consider being one.
You wait for Dr Chow but he knows his stuff. Staff are friendly and efficient.
After reading all the reviews here, I was wary of my appointment. However, the clinic does tell you in advance to expect to spend 2-3 hours at the clinic and to plan accordingly. My appointment was at 1pm, and around 1:20pm they called me in for the preliminary tests. My technician Joy was professional and efficient. After tests, I waited to see Dr. Cheryl for about 20-25 minutes. Dr. Cheryl was very pleasant and helpful with explaining the diagnosis and treatment. I scheduled a follow-up appointment, and was out the door by 2:30pm. I cannot speak for everyone but personally had a fine experience with a reasonable amount of wait time.
Hurry up and get there so you’re 10 minutes early and then wait for 3 hours to see the doctor. Very very disrespectful of other peoples time. There was a wait for both cataract surgeries and the second eye follow up. Not to mention there was no notice that an intern was doing my moms cataract surgery until she was already in the chair for the operation. Dr. Chow is chronically overbooked and disrespectful. He could improve on his bedside manner as well. Very curt and impatient. It’s too bad one doesn’t have any recompense against doctors like this. We’re just the mere citizens.
Been to this location numerous time , Dr Cherif is good , but the waiting time is awful , can be anytime from 2-4 hours by the time you are done . They are always behind, if my appointments is at 2, lucky if I can met with the doctor by 4, and the receptionist are not so friendly either .
I don't think I will go back to this clinic....
Josh explained the options for dry eye therapy to me thoroughly and did a great job helping me feel calm and relaxed during the treatment. Dr. Chow will also check to see if you're right candidate for certain treatment procedures.
This place is so much better than Savage Eye Center on Elbow Drive. Its much friendlier, way less crowded and you get treated well. The Savage Eye Center is equated to a jailhouse visit, takes forever and you go from station to station and wait and wait. They forgot about me once and had people arriving one hour later than me, moving ahead in Queue I'd rather get a root canal than go back there to Savage.
I was worried before our visit. Fortunately, we had a great experience: friendly staff, appointment at scheduled time, polite doctor. We have already booked the next visit.
My appointment was at 2, didn’t get in until 2:50, then waited for another 30 minuets. My doctor was one of the most rudest people to deal with. Not a smile not a hello. As I was talking he wouldn’t look at me and just dismissed my comments or questions. Gave me my file at the end of my appointment and turned away and didn’t say goodbye or anything to let me know we were finished. I just walked out of the room as he ignored me.
WORST SERVICE EVER. Do not come here. Had an appointment for 3:10pm. It’s 4:10 and still only waiting for the doctor in her room. The technician named ARAH was extremely disrespectful to me, she does not know how to communicate with clients and respect them & does not treat you like a patient. Her approach was absolutely repulsive and impolite. Avoid this place and go somewhere else. Everything is always taking so long here and only 1h customer parking.
This is a very busy place which proves complete patient care. Dr. Chow is highly recommendable surgeon. Commend to the staff especially to there patient coordinator.
incredibly rude staff who can't be bothered with you or your questions
Once again I was kept waiting for over 40 minutes and the probability was even longer as I had not even got to the Doctors office where last time I waited for another 35 minutes. This is disrespectful to your clients .If I was a pensioner with not much going on I might have waited but I run a business much like you do and to sit in a waiting room having driven for 20 minutes constitutes a serious waste of my time and earnings to keep my small company going in this challenging environment. So I left as I had appointments to keep 70 mins after my appt which should have been ample time..AND I for one respect being on time with clients which you obviously do NOT .Since this is a consistent problem with your organization why don't you address this and NOT book so many clients in so close together..I asked for Dr Y Fodil-Cherif to call me to discuss but apparently that will not happen according to the receptionist So much for client care!!! Dr. Chow was one of the rudest doctors I have ever met. I went with my dad who is 64 years old to his appointment after receiving a referral for cataract surgery. Firstly, we waited an hour before seeing anyone. His appointment was scheduled at 9:20 am and we weren’t seen until roughly 10:15 am. Dr. Chow did not greet us at all and was not even in the slightest bit friendly. When we asked very simple questions regarding the process of the surgery and the risks involved he became visibly frustrated and VERY rude. He did not answer any of our questions and did not make us feel comfortable with moving forward with the surgery. He talked super fast and sped through all the information. The appointment lasted 10 minutes if that. When working and speaking about people’s vision/eyes, you would think that doctors would take the time to explain all the information and help you make an informed decision about your eyesight. I DO NOT recommend going to this location for any of your eyesight needs. AVOID Dr. Chow at all costs. This was the worst experience we have ever had with a doctor and I am very disappointed with the customer care and service from Signature Eye Specialists.
No respect for peoples time .Want you to come 10 minutes early and then make you wait. No respect for people. Condescending staff. Go elsewhere.
Had a follow up appointment, waited an hour wasn’t even in a waiting room yet. Asked how long was told I was next in, then asked how long I would be in the waiting room for, at least 30 minutes more.. I left, asked if I wanted to rebook... no thanks.
