Update: After initially posting this review, the girl who I'd spoken with and quoted below, decided to use the clinic's (her employer's) Google account to write a childish, snarky reply about how everything I mentioned below was actually my fault, because I had been such a nightmare to her. I assume her employer eventually made her delete it, which is really too bad. It really helped to illustrate and affirm everything I said in my original review as follows:
My mum had an appointment with this ophthalmologist. When the appointment was made, she was told her appointment would be 45 minutes and she’d need to have a ride home. So the day of her appointment, I get there 50 minutes after her appointment time and find my mum still just sitting in the waiting room - Hasn’t even been seen by the doctor.
When I ask the staff at the front desk about this; if we got the appointment wrong or how long the wait would be, the one girl responded with, and I quote: “Yep that’s just how it is. At some ophthalmology offices, you can wait up to five hours”.
..So I should be happy because we only had to wait over 1 hour instead of 5? I walked back to the waiting area honestly a bit taken aback like did that just happen?
Then it turns out the appointments are in fact 60-90 minutes, not 45 like we were told originally.
We were there all afternoon, and offered no explanation, acknowledgement, or apology. And I assume all the other (primarily elderly) patients waiting with us were treated with the same indifference and disregard.
Seriously poor time management, poor communication, and even worse customer service.
0/5 do not recommend ✌????
