He is professional, funny and takes time to answer questions. His staff are very knowledgeable and accommodating. He fixed my eyes and gave me my vision back. I can't thank him enough. Best opthamologist in Alberta. I just had cataract surgery on Oct 24 and nov 7 with excellent results at the Royal Alex. The Dr. is not only a great surgeon but has a great personality and bedside manner and excellent staff.

I had the PRK 4 years ago and have been wearing glasses again for the past year or so I think it’s time for him to retire, maybe at one time he wore gloves or washed his hands between patients but now he’s just rushed and unfriendly. Also he has put no money back into his business... extremely out dated equipment and 80s decor.

I had PRK surgery a month ago, performed by Dr. Climenhaga. I was referred by a co-worker who had the same surgery a year ago with positive outcome. I am in the midst of healing and things are going slow. The experience with the office was good as a whole, but with some confusion about scheduling apts and pre op instructions etc. His staff is kind and knowledgeable. The negative experience I have had is with Dr. Climenhaga himself, as he is rushed, abrupt and when I had questions with my close up vision getting worse, he called me an old fart! I understand, that at age 50, my experience and vision would be different than that of a 20 year old, but I found him rude and unprofessional. I also have misgivings about him not using gloves to remove my bandage contacts.

I had 3 times appointment and had exprience the worst and unprofessional receptionist to book appointment. I have been referred from my family doctor twice and cancelled with out any notice. I went twice with two month waiting appointment. The receptionist gave me another 6 month waiting time but one of the nurse standing by talk to her and changed to two month shorter. What a bad exprience??? I don't think receptionist will do their job and understand how much time i wasted affected my health.
