My mother told me she does not have to shop around for glasses: the best glasses she has ever had are from Lazaro Santos in Capital Vision Care Southgate. You would think that after wearing one form or another of eye sight correction for more than 40 years, she should have had several perfect glasses several times. My mother thought so until she had the glasses that Lazaro scoped for her a few months ago. The vision is excellent. The glasses don’t have to be pushed up at all. They are easy to clean and have retained an excellent fit despite her active life style.

Comprehensive eye test and everybody has time to discuss your needs and answer your questions. Taj and Dr Hirjee were wonderful, both were interested in me and clearly wanted the experience to be positive. At no point did I feel rushed or feel that I was being pressured into buying glasses that I didn't really need. Shami offered to put my new lenses into my current frames, which was helpful in bringing down the cost. The experience was a pleasure from start to finish!

Dr. Lau is fantastic. I did spring for the highest quality lens after owning a pair I bought from Lens crafters two years ago. I do notice a difference in the field of vision clarity in my progressives. These seem to have a much wider view with less blur on the sides. This eye clinic is just phenomenal. It’s located on second floor of Southgate mall and has fantastic selection of all types of glasses and products for health care of eyes. I had such poor experiences from other places but when I came here I was surprised at the level of service and attention to detail. It’s a well lit location with lots of friendly staff to help. They are all very professional at what they do are are quite knowledgeable. I personally dealt with Dr. Shih and she helped me find the source of why I was having issues with my vision. I have had to have my glasses done multiple times over the past month and a half. It is annoying, but the staff have been helpful and understanding. The last straw though was the other day when they cut a lens wrong. I left and found out how bad the work was done, so went back. There was a shift change and the evening staff were on instead of the usual opticians I deal with. I was treated poorly, told it was done right, and I was imagining seeing double. One staff member even bent the living hell out of my frames at the temples and bridge to make them work. I was livid, and demanded my money back as per their 100 day policy and was refused by the optician. They are supposedly ordering me new frames, but once I have them I will decide if it will be a BBB complaint or not as I will need to go get a new set of lenses made elsewhere since they can't seem to get it right. I have been going to Capital Vision Care since the 80's but will never go back after this.

Upon entering Capital Vision Care I was greeted immediately by the receptionist and directed to wait in the seated area until my name was called In a short time Kamil approached me for the eye exam Kamil is most professional and knowledgeable in her job. She took special attention to sanitized all equipment in front of me and while under examination she would position my head and chin always at the exact spot needed for an accurate reading. I found Kamil most pleasant Also in conversation with Shami I was assured there is nothing to fear in having my left cataract removed Shami explained the whole procedure to me which really helped me. The doctor (forgot her name) was also most professional and "on point" with the examination and followed through with arranging a further appt to have my surgery set up at a desired location in Millwoods explaining the necessary time frame until they contact me again and what follows after surgery In all a wonderful experience at the Southgate location which I would happily suggest to others.

Service is great. The staff are friendly and helpful. If there was an emergency, you do not have to wait for appointment with your usual optometrist as there are others who can help you equally. Lazaro Santos, frames consultant, is my number #1 person for advice for advice for any frames. Without his advice I would pick bad looking frames and regret my purchase. So far I have no issues and I am happy with my purchase. The staff followed Covid 19 protocols to the T. This tells us that Capital Vision takes covid 19 protocols and patient safety seriously.

I have been going to Capital Vision Care for about 10 years. I have always received excellent care. They have up to the moment technology and more than that the knowledge to deliver the appropriate diagnosis and treatment, not to mention a selection of beautiful frames that makes it difficult to choose which looks better. And even more than that their client/customer service is excellent. Yesterday I arrived late, very late for my appointment, and I went in to apologize and rebook but was still seen without holding anyone else up. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Dr. Wong is great, doesn’t rush you through an exam. She takes time to explain and make sure you are getting the right lenses. As with Christianne who helped me pick out frames and explained the differences in lens quality. There truly is a significant difference with a quality lens. Had my eye exam a week ago and the lady who first attended to me did a wonderful and efficient job. After a few minutes wait, had my exam with Dr. Ens. Found him to be very engaging, thorough and professional. He also explained what the test are meant to for. Went over my results very well. After my test, I was looked after by Lazaro who equally provided a very thorough explanation of the progressive glasses I wanted to go with as this is my first venture into progressives. He taught me how to go about getting used to the three levels. After I chose my preferred prescription, I requested to put a rush as I was leaving for vacation in a couple of weeks. Two days later, Lazaro called me to say my new glasses have come in. I was totally surprise how quickly the got my glasses processed. Today I picked up my new glasses, was fitted by Lazaro, and again explained how to use them. I had nothing but a wonderful experience dealing with the staff at this location and recommended them to my son and wife. Will most definitely recommend to friends and family. Great job!
