Have been seeing Dr Kassiri at the U of A for 5 yrs now... today was first time for my child at Landmark... absolute gongshow. A quick checkup has now been 2 hrs... a 1/2 hr more has been over an hr. Place is overbooked!! Appointments are time specific for a reason and this place already has a reputation of being overbooked! If you have an appointment make sure you clear your schedule as the time will mean nothing. The amount of people leaving Landmark swearing about the same thing should be an indication to the staff

I've worn glasses since I was 4 years old and Dr. Michael Dory performed what, to me, is a miracle!!! Freedom from eyewear!! I still can't believe it. It's been almost 2 months and no problems at all.

Absolutely ridiculous! I watched 3 patients who arrived after me be called in before me. (to see the same doctor as me) One of which has been seen and left before I was called! An hr and 15 min after I arrived I expressed to reception that I had been forgotten. I will hand it to the lady looking into it for me, she was calm, patient, and understanding as I was understandably overly frustrated. I would have left had I not been in so much pain. Anyways in the end the staff did forget me. They were apologetic but I'm not impressed

Please be patient when you are attending your appointment.This is a very busy clinic but I had to have an emergency procedure and the staff was very accommodating. They were kind and caring towards me and treated me respectfully. I know that it is often difficult to predict wait times in the medical field.

Dr Kassiri and all of the staff are excellent. The front end staff are friendly yet professional. While the clinic is busy, the technicians attend their tasks efficiently. Dr Kassiri always takes time to answer questions in an amiable manner. He frequently has residents in his practice and it's nice to see his investment in our future ophthalmologists.

I don't know why there is so much negative reviews, I had great experience at this location. Arrive 5 min before my appointment was set and was welcomed by the assistant to proceed with checks within less than 5 mins. After all checks was given a room where I waited hardly 20-30 min, but this time was necessary since medication had to reach half life. Dr. Kassiri walked in and did excellent assessment and outlined future steps. Looking forward to come back.

Honestly amazing staff, everyone is so kind and friendly. I always have great experiences seeing my usual doctor. Everyone knows how to cheer you up and they make the appointment easygoing and don’t stress you out at all! They are all very patient with you, and make you laugh when you need one. Even with Covid, they made the experience good! I have to come here for the rest of my life, but the staff make it enjoyable and all and all they make you feel comfortable! Honestly so glad that they are patient, and kind.

I was referred to Alberta MD by a specialist in BC, having moved here in the summer. I was very impressed by the effeiciency of getting me in for my foirst appontment . My experience here was excellent from the staff on the reception, the testing technicians and the eye doctor himself i would recommend highly this organisation.

My case was escalated to Dr. Rehan Riyaz after unsuccessful treatment elsewhere. I've been to many ophthalmology clinics due to my condition and have to admit that this was one of the best experiences I've had. The staff I dealt with were all very pleasant and made the start of the visit quite enjoyable. I was also surprised at how quickly I was called, tested and sitting in the big chair, ready to see the doctor. The reviews about Dr. Riyaz himself are very accurate. He is a gentleman in every sense. Not only incredibly polite, but also patient and thorough in his explanation of his recommendations. I was thoroughly impressed with how well he knew what my case was about despite meeting me for the first time, likely from reviewing my chart fully. I look forward to working with Dr. Riyaz on resolving my issue.

disappointed and disgusted at how one of the lady at the reception treated a person that does not speak English fluently during check in. She was yelling at him. He may not speak English fluently but he is definitely not deaf. The receptionist definitely needs to be talk to and have some lesson on how to speak to people equally. Her attitude towards the man was unbearable and embarrassing. Please train your receptionist properly, specially since they are the first point of contact to your business.

I had an appointment at 11:30 and after 12:20 I asked the receptionist (RAJIT) a what time would I see the Dr. Because I had to work. She just told me that it could be in 2 hours and if I didn’t want to wait, she could cancel my appointment and re scheduled for another day. Note that I set up this appointment 3 months ago.

Very unprofessional staff. My appointment was at 3:45p.m. Still waiting. Came 15 minutes before my appointment. So makes my wait 45minutes to an hour. We shouldn't hear the Nurses staff gossiping. It's really unprofessional. And annoying.

All aspects of my experience were very positive! Patients were greeted warmly and protocols were followed closely. Everyone was polite and efficient! The receptionist was very kind and took extra effort to ensure that the next appointment was at a convenient time. Overall, it was an upbeat visit!

Everytime I go for my checkup, they make me wait 2 hours if not more.What is the point of booking an appointment if they never respect patient's time and commitment. You never hear "please" or a welcoming grating from the staff. Unbelievable!!!

This clinic over books. We have waited at the worst 6 hours at the best 2 hours. Hate having to come here. Reception room packed so tight you have to sit in the hall. Would not recommend for this reason, unless you want to waste a day.

WORST customer service EVER. I called to ask a question about an appointment, and I had to call again because I didn't receive the information I was looking for. The receptionist yelled at me for 1 minute on the phone! What kind of receptionist says: I already told you that! I understand we are humans, and we can have bad days, but I've never been treated that way. Just horrible.

Wait time for an appointment is ridiculous and you are not informed of this over the phone. Instead they tell you that the automated recorded message alerts you that your total appointment is 2 hours—even for kids. This is now a business; not as it once was under Dr.Buski

Great doctor, super polite and friendly. This is a very busy clinic. Some technicians are very nice. However, the first tech we saw didn’t even say hello when she called us in and continued this way with every other patient she called. She would only call the patient and then ask what their last name is. She was equally impolite during the testing.

Worst reception and medical staff. Reception chatting on cell phones and rude. Could not take eye pressure and blame rudely patient on their incompetency. Reception behaves like they are the CEOs, declared four patients liars about their appointment times in one hour (just a coincidence???). Un-necessarily asking exiting patients if want to book a re-visit. What a gong show. Does any doctor knew about this staff?

Dr was great and very knowledgeable. HOWEVER I went to my 9:15 am appoint and left at 11:41. This is so absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. I realize you might have emergencies throughout the day but you can plan for that. How about (since your reviews show you obviously struggle in this) one dr is on call for emergency cases daily and then you book properly for the rest. YOU ARE NOT THAT BIG A DEAL that I should have to give up an entire half day to see you!!! Yes I appreciate your expertise but you are failing your patients this way! Would you like to go for a haircut and wait for 2.5 hours? Or to the dentist? Or to pick up an RX or any of the other 1000 necessary appointments busy people have??? There are experts in streamlining office procedures - HIRE ONE!!!

Surgical coordinator left me a message saying she had a new rescheduled date for my mom's cataract surgery and I should call her. Tried multiple times to phone and email her with no response, this was September. Today received message giving mom an appointment with a different doctor, no explanation why, and phone lines already closed down for the day.

I had cataract surgery January 17 2022 by Dr Kassiri. The procedure was flawless. Both eyes took about half an hour. My vision has not been this good in years. I did purchase the better lenses and they are worth it. Danielle who booked the appointment was amazing. I ask lots of questions and she answered them all and took my apprehension away. February 7 2022 I had a follow up with Dr Mohamed. She is an amazing optometrist. She took the time to explain everything and answer all my questions. My vision now is 20/20. I am totally amazed. If you have cataracts go get them fixed. I highly recommend Alberta Eye MD.

I have read many of the reviews on the Alberta Eye MD site and I am perplexed by the negativity. I have been a patient for more than nine years due to a medical condition and have in the past two months had my cataracts removed. I am extremely happy with the experience. I had multi focal lenses implanted and the sight is fantastic. Any questions I had were answered. With all the appointments over this period I have never been spoken to in any manner other than politely and helpfully. It is true that appointments requiring dilation require you be there for some time. MD could afford to have a larger waiting room but I have had some very interesting conversations there. I have appreciated the care for my eye sight and the help of Maira, Dr. Kassam and Dr. Kassiri. I am sorry others can’t see the benefits Alberta Eye MD.

This office completely over books people so wait time is 2hrs easy. There is not enough parking at complex and the staff isnt that great-not to wait as long as you do. We are always waiting for Dr Kurgey ot whatever his name is honestly my advice is find a diff doctor. Furthermore the eye exam rooms really dont accommodate people in wheelchairs. There doors to bathroom also make it very difficult for handicap people. Its ridiculous.

I will never walk in this eye care clinic again. The one receptionist was rude , she cut into my conversation with the younger one I was talking to. The waiting room was Packed . The people budded in line and the receptionists seemed to not care at all . The people working in the back there looked frustrated . The one lady I overheard saying it was a half hour wait for her appointment. The two lady's waiting with me were frustrated as well . Wow ????
