I literally just talked to the receptionist at this office trying to make an appointment with Ms. Bartnik to go over a form pertaining to my mother's passing, and found the woman to be rude and unhelpful. Based on my bad experience, I advise people to look elsewhere. I also advise Ms. Bartnik to look for a new receptionist. Response to Owner Update: No collecting of thoughts was needed, and I find your insinuation par for the course. I knew exactly what the document was called as I was holding it in my hand and told the receptionist what the title of it was. What I hoped for was a quick, three to five minute meeting so you could tell me exactly what I needed to do or bring with me (death certificate, etc) and then schedule a time this week to get the document officially notarized. My wife and I were also interested in getting our wills done in the very near future, but we will go elsewhere after this experience. You don't need to respond further.

Our experience there was less than acceptable. First off the portable table outside and the traffic going by made it very difficult to hear. Then being scolded for saying we did not pay our taxes when we did so she confirmed that and no apology but instead said"this day needs to end". The next issue was that property taxes were not included in our mortgage payment which we had requested but she told us just do it yourself as the bank will charge you. Well we spoke with our broker and she said that is completely untrue so my feeling is that she just did not want to change the paperwork and do her job that we paid over $1600 for. I will not be going back for the paperwork on our second home. Trevor

I recently bought my sister out of our apartment, and used Irina as a notary. My first encounter with her she told me that our numbers were fraudulent, until she contacted our mortgage broker directly to confirm they were indeed correct. I was also not informed prior to my appointment that I would need documents from my bank, so I had to rush over there and get them back within a short time frame before they closed. Also my sister informed me afterwards that her notary noticed a few mistakes in our paperwork and had to fix them on her end to save us from having any issues in the future. Overall just not a very satisfactory experience.

EXERCISE CAUTION! WHY? We obtained quotation in "writing" for the registration of buy and sell of our home in Surrey. We found discrepancy of more than $1,300 EXTRA on the day of registration! An increase of more than 30%. We asked why? Irina Bartnik the Notary says, the quotation was "approximate" and can change anytime! We insisted that 30% increase is too much, a vast difference of asking EXTRA $1,300 is not fair. We have no choice but to sign the documents in the last minute of registration day! Cannot go for shopping another Notary on that day; files were sent ten days before to her office. We felt very disappointed. Later we found with other Notaries similar sale and purchase value is at-least $1200 less. As we did three registrations with Irina in the past 12 years we went to her with trust without inviting other quotations. Now changed her office name as Clayton Heights Notary (was "Irina Bartnik Notary")! Quotation from her in writing means nothing! Her integrity is questionable. Trust is broken.
