We communicated with the support staff often and they provided fast and efficient service, no negative comments to say about it. On the other hand, the notary's service was something else. First, notary Roland Vaillancourt prepared a sale without legal warranty for our house. When we explained to him that apart from the swimming pool and some accessories in the house, the house was sold with legal warranty, he persisted with us that the offer to purchase had been misread. In the end, we were right and he changed the act, but it's still a big careless mistake ... Second, notary Vaillancourt refused to let us read the deed of sale before signing. He insisted that it was going to take too long to read and that it was a waste of time as he had just summarized the document. We wanted to take the time to read the clauses to make sure that there were no other errors, but notary Vaillancourt told us that the appointment was not long enough to allow a complete reading and that we could read it at home if it really appealed to us (even if the contract would already be signed at that time). For me, a notary who puts pressure on a client to sign a document without taking the time to read it is a big breach of ethics. I cannot comment on the service of the other notaries, but throughout the meeting, I had the impression that our presence was a big inconvenience for notary Vaillancourt and that he was tired of making deeds of sale. . When you do business with a notary Vaillancourt, you really have the impression that he is someone who should have retired and who no longer wants to be at work ... (Original) Nous avons fait affaire avec Vaillancourt & Vaillancourt pour l'achat de notre maison. Nous avons eu une bonne expérience jusqu'au moment de la signature de l'acte de vente. Nous avons souvent communiqué avec le personnel de soutien et ils ont offert un service rapide et efficace, aucun commentaire négatif à dire là dessus. Par contre, le service du notaire était autre chose. Premièrement, notaire Roland Vaillancourt a préparé une vente sans garantie légale pour notre maison. Lorsqu'on lui a expliqué que mise à part la piscine et quelques accessoires dans la maison, la maison était vendue avec garantie légale, il s'obstinait avec nous qu'on avait mal lu l'offre d'achat. Finalement, on avait raison et il a modifié l'acte, mais c'est quand même une grosse faute d'inattention... Deuxièmement, notaire Vaillancourt a refusé de nous laisser lire l'acte de vente avant de signer. Il insistait que ça allait prendre trop de temps à lire et que c'était une perte de temps comme il venait de résumer le document. On voulait prendre le temps de lire les clauses pour s'assurer qu'il n'avait pas d'autres erreurs, mais notaire Vaillancourt nous a dit que le rendez-vous n'était pas assez long pour permettre une lecture complète et qu'on pouvait le lire à la maison si ça nous tentait vraiment (même si le contrat serait déjà signer à ce moment là). Pour moi, un notaire qui met de la pression sur un client pour signer un document sans prendre le temps de le lire est un gros manquement déontologique. Je ne peux pas faire de commentaire sur le service des autres notaires, mais tout le long de la rencontre, j'avais l'impression que notre présence était un gros inconvénient pour notaire Vaillancourt et qu'il était tanné de faire des actes de vente. Quand on fait affaire avec notaire Vaillancourt, on a vraiment l'impression que c'est quelqu'un qui aurait dû prendre sa retraite et qui ne veut plus être au travail...

Michel Vaillancourt is a terrible notary No follow through, accountability and extremely rude. He had failed to pay the school taxes after taking my adjustment payment and just held on to the funds for a year for my purchased condo When my following year taxes came in the mail I only found out then that he never issued the payment, when I asked him what happened he played negligent. He finally agreed to pay as he was holding onto my money for a year but issues the payment without covering the interests that were accrued. When I confront him about paying the interest, he refused and told me it wasn’t his responsibility. It now cost me an additional 150 dollars a year after paying a hefty notary bill for his services Extremely unprofessional and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to ever work with him
