Bad experience as a seller ( didn't get to choose the notary). Excessive fees: 950$ for quittance. 150$ extra if you want a wire transfer, otherwise you have to physically go get the check like it's 1980. Shop around.

(Translated) Too bad it is the buyers who choose the notary. I must have done business with her against my will. She changed the appointment time 4 times in the same week, including once at the last minute. She just told me a few hours before the meeting that I was missing some important papers, including one that I sent. Also, 8 days earlier I had emailed her to make sure it was complete and in order and she just never responded. $ 150 fee for making a money transfer. Nothing positive to say unfortunately. (Original) Dommage que ce sont les acheteurs qui choisissent le notaire. J’ai dû faire affaire avec elle contre mon gré. Elle a changé l’heure du rendez-vous 4 fois dans la même semaine dont une fois à la dernière minute. Elle m’avise à peine quelques heures avant la rencontre qu’il manque des papiers importants dont un que j’ai pourtant envoyé. De plus, 8 jours auparavant je lui avais envoyé un courriel pour m’assurer que le tout était complet et en bonne et due forme et elle ne m’a tout simplement jamais répondu. 150$ de frais pour faire un virement de fond. Rien de positif à dire malheureusement.
