Booked him over a month in advance for the sale of a plea building. Two weeks before June 1st we called for an exact time for the appointment and he didn't answer his phone/messages. Kept calling and sending emails but received no answer. Finally, one week before June 1st, after my client went to his house, he answered the door and apologized saying he was extremely busy. He said June 1st would be impossible and that he could only finalize the sale June 3rd. By this time it was too late to book another notary and had no choice but to reschedule. The buyers and sellers of the building were not pleased as they had to completely re-organize themselves. Not to mention my clients had to reimburse the seller's for three days worth of rent due to his mistake. Also, he miscalculated the adjustments for the rents/taxes and misspelled the seller's name on the deed of sale. Due to this, I requested to pick up my cheque in person when it was ready. Again, when I called him, there was no answer and no response to my messages. When I finally was able to reach him three days later, he said he was extremely busy and had just send my cheque in the mail.
