I took the trouble to call several times in the 2 weeks preceding the signing to make sure that the file was complete, that they had all the necessary information and documents. I never had a return call when I left messages. The secretary was going on vacation and made it clear to me that I was bothering her with my questions, that she was leaving. Then I was able to speak to the notary directly the day before the transaction and it was disorganized, asked me again for all the information already provided previously to his secretary. On the day of signing, she told me everything was ok and then told us 1 hour before the appointment that the buyer's funds had not been transferred to her account, so she could not do the transaction! ! Whenever we spoke to him, the explanations were blurry and in an obnoxious tone. Finally, the height of everything. 10 days following the transaction, we noticed in our mortgage account that the notary had made an incorrect payment to our bank, 20 thousand was missing !!!! We tried to contact her, without success. It was only after we left a message that we were going to file a complaint and open an investigation at the chamber of notaries that the $ 20,000 suddenly appeared in our account, and the mortgage was closed. NO EXCUSE OR APPEAL from him! A simple brief email saying "sorry for the delay". J'ai pris la peine d'appeler plusieurs fois dans les 2 semaines précédant la signature afin de m'assurer que le dossier était complet, qu'ils avaient toutes les informations et documents nécessaire. Je n'avais jamais de retour d'appel lorsque je laissais des messages. La secrétaire partait en vacances et m'a clairement fait comprendre que je la dérangeais avec mes questions, qu'elle s'en allait. Ensuite j'ai pu parlé à la notaire directement la veille de la transaction et celle-ci était désorganisée, m'a redemandé toutes les informations déjà fournies précédemment à sa secrétaire. Le jour de la signature, elle m'a dit que tout était ok pour ensuite nous dire 1h avant le rendez-vous que les fonds de l'acheteur n'avait pas été transféré dans son compte, donc ne pouvait pas faire la transaction!! Chaque fois que nous lui avons parlé, les explications étaient floues et sur un ton désagréable. Finalement, le comble de tout. 10 jours suivant la transaction, nous avons remarqué dans notre compte hypothécaire que la notaire avait fait un paiement erroné à notre banque, Il manquait 20milles!!!! Nous avons tenté de la contacter, sans succès. Ce n'est seulement qu'après avoir laissé un message mentionnant que nous allions porter plainte et ouvrir une enquête à la chambre des notaires que le 20 000$ est soudainement apparu dans notre compte, et que le prêt hypothécaire a été fermé. AUCUNE EXCUSE NI APPEL de sa part! Un simple email bref disant "désolé pour le délai". Je ne la recommande à personne, vraiment pas professionnelle et désorganisée, en plus de ne pas être sympathique.! ****** en réponse: je tiens à dire que tout ce qui est mentionné précédemment sont les explications réelles de notre expérience avec la notaire, cet avis n'est pas diffamatoire. Il est le simple reflet des faits vécus. Ce qu'elle nous a fournis comme soit disant "preuve" est un email sans excuse, sur un ton aussi arrogant que la réponse à cet avis dans lequel elle blâme tout le monde sauf elle des problèmes rencontrés durant la transaction.

I appreciate that she has gone above and beyond her obligations to obtain answers for them, and that she has taken the time to clearly explain options to first-time buyers. Selling or buying a home can be a high stress time, and it's good to know that there are level heads like Notary Zaharia out there, to advocate for and thoroughly counsel clients.

2021 during a global pandemic, doesn't think to setup Direct Deposits and makes people come in to pick up checks, and not even certified, I've got to wait 4 more days to access my money. I asked when money would be in my account was told Monday, no mention of picking up a check or having to wait nearly a week for it to clear. Was 10 minutes late to video conference call too. Will NOT use or recommend. Should have just gone with Me Janique Danis.

Horrible, horrible notary. Everything is done at the last minute. Notary doesn’t understand the business. Hours of operation are not respected as posted on Google. They also are not willing to help you in your native language. Extremely unprofessional. Don’t waist your time. Find another notary. Someone qualified with proper knowledge of the industry and todays standards.
