I am sending urgent documents and there has been an issue. I went back to the store to look for help. Sam jumped on the phone right away with the Vancouver UPS, where the documents were being sent to. The document was delivered a few hours after. He is amazing to work with and I am happy with the customer service. Last year, I sent multiple heavy boxes to the US and everything went smoothly. Would recommend this location for shipping!

While this place is small, the guy running the counter is extremely informative and kind. The staff if quick to make sure all customers are satisfied and get through the process you need in a very timely manner. I don't remember the gentleman's name, but he did tell us he was from Iran. This particular store is a great place to get your posting needs taken care of very quickly and efficiently.

This has to be one of the best UPS stores I’ve ever had the pleasure of using, if not the absolute best. They’re a small store, family owned - and it shows. Sometimes sending packages, getting them packed, and certainly shipping internationally can be stressful - but the gentlemen here made it a breeze. (Thank you Sam for all the assistance!) They were personable, and eager to help. This makes all the difference, especially when you’re unsure of the steps and forms you have to fill out. I came in and paid second day delivery for couple keys to Vancouver. I explained this is very urgent. After received confirmation the keys will be delivered on second day, I paid over $50 for this service. The keys still not delivered until Monday morning. I called in to let them know the situation and the lady on the phone doesn't even say sorry. She never feel sorry about this situation and said:" What do you want me to do? It is out of our control. You should call UPS customer service. " Why should I pay for higher rate and the UPS location doesn't know what is going on with their shipment? Updates after I called UPS customer services: Store used UPS Express not UPS Express Saver. UPS Express only count on business days. It means they know my package won't be delivered on Saturday. I paid for delivery on Saturday and the email confirmation I received also showing Saturday 3 PM. Very angry. Please know how to run your business.

I've been a customer of the UPS store on Oak Bay Avenue for almost 3 years now. All of the staff there are absolutely awesome and have taken care of everything I've needed. I started with a small business mailbox and have utilized their copy/print, mailing, and packing services. Prices are great. They find the best price for the service I need and everything is done with a smile! As I have a mailbox there, I've even had cases where I've had a packages arrive with duty owing. They will take the extra effort of calling me and allowing me to coordinate with the driver so I don't have to chase packages with duties back and forth. Thanks for the awesome service!!

Huge fan of UPS Oak Bay - what a great addition to the neighbourhood! I very rarely need to do shipping for work, but when I do the team here go above and beyond to explain the different services, provide materials at a fair cost, and take the time to ensure I understand what's happening. I greatly appreciate the time they take, and the services they provide. I honestly don't know what I'd do without them! If you are trying to ship anything from the Island to anywhere else on planet earth, the UPS Store #482 on Oak Bay Avenue is your one and only destination. With them, I have shipped packages from 20" x 20" x 10" in dimensions and 20 lbs in weight, all the way to 40" x 40" x 20" in dimensions and 80 lbs in weight. All I can say is that their packing and shipping services is nothing short of amazing. It absolutely does not matter whether your product's value is $ 200 or $ 20000 (yes, you read that right); Nahid and Saeed will always treat you with absolute kindness, and treat your package with utmost care. I am so pleased to be in business with them for the past 8 years. I am sure many other Victoria based businesses agree with me. Cheers.

We've had a mailbox at this location for a few years now and it's been a pleasure. I look forward to picking up my mail with them each week as the staff are personable and extremely friendly. edit2: the owners response is a blatant lie, I was told to return on a different day, and then they helped another customer after me & accepted a box from her. this location closes at 6:30pm. it is 5:33 and they are refusing to accept packages, after I was sent here by another location that also refused to accept any shipments because it was "too much trouble." This is the worst service I have ever received from a courier.

I spent many months creating a large needlework picture for my sister in Ontario which was then professionally framed under glass. I asked the framers for their advice on how to get it packaged and shipped safely to its final destination. They recommended the UPS store in Oak Bay. It arrived safely and my sister commented on how intricately UPS had custom-fitted the packaging. She said that if I had seen the awesome packaging job, I would not have a moment's concern about it reaching her intact. I then spent many more months on another large needlework picture for my other sister in Alberta. Again, once the picture was framed and under glass, I took it to the UPS store in Oak Bay. In the email my sister sent me to let me know it arrived safely she said, "I should have filmed myself trying to unpack it. I can't imagine anything they ship EVER breaking." For professional service go to the UPS Store in Oak Bay. They really know what they're doing!

The couple who run this UPS Store are very friendly and helpful. I’ve had a mailbox at this location for several years, and I am always greeted with smiles whenever I stop by to pick up mail or parcels. I haven’t used many of the other services available, but on those occasions when I’ve needed to send something, they have taken the time to find the best option. There is actually another UPS Store closer to where I live, but I’m happy to go a little out of my way to come here.

Above and beyond customer service! I had travelled from Ontario to Victoria for the weekend to look after final details of my elderly fathers move to long term care. I checked on line for the closest UPS Store which happened to be the one on Hillside, the online reviews were horrific, but also mentioned several times how great the service was at the Oak Bay location. The extra 10 min drive was well worth it. Nahid and Saeed were friendly, empathetic and unbelievably helpful. They looked after the shredding of 120lbs of documents and the shipping of almost 250lbs of family memorabilia back to Ontario. They personally looked after the packaging, wrapping and labeling of 3 special family items that I was not sure of the best way to ship. I think they sensed not only the difficulty of what I was doing but also the sense of urgency that I tried to hide, I had a flight to catch home later that day. I am a small business owner myself and it was so clear that they are committed to their customers happiness and satisfaction. They want and deserve your business, not just today but every time you need the services of a UPS store. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I shipped a writing desk and cabinet-styled radio in Dec 2021. I chose UPS Store 482 for their service and further evaluation. Both items were somewhat antique items and the replacement value was nothing compared to the high sentimental value. I also planned to divide the entire shipment into two parcels; writing desk top in one parcel and the radio nested into the writing desk legs in the other parcel. It was non-trivial to safely pack the latter parcel so that the two items would not damage each other. I was pressed for time and did not have any packing materials to begin with. I did not want to pay for three parcels. The shipment would travel half way across Canada. I felt assured that it would go well after a few phone and in-person conversations and understood what was being offered. I had called two other major competitors and found UPS Store 482 to be the only one to offer packing services. The main points that provided assurance was the following: O. The family running the store seemed genuine and honest to deal with O. They spoke of prior expertise in packing antique items O. They understood my strategy to nest the radio into the desk legs and were confident to achieve the end result O. They understood the sentimental value was far exceeding the material value O. They understood my concern regarding the fragility of the items The charges seemed reasonable for the care, labour and materials needed for the two parcels. When I saw the packing materials used, I understood and accepted the labour and material cost. I chose not to insure the items. This was a good experience. I would recommend the family operating the store and I would let them pack and ship another item, if needed. My two parcels arrived one day ahead of schedule. The contents were undamaged due to the robustness of the packing. The family came through for me. I am very grateful to receive my personal items that held high sentimental value, items where replacement cost would be meaningless. Thank you so much for a job well done. Q

From LA, I spoke with Nahid several times on the phone about the print, delivery options and Customs. She was always extremely knowledgeable, patient and very helpful. The package arrived at my house on time (two days), safe and undamaged...no surprises here due to the obvious care and expertise taken in preparing the work for shipping. Firstly, I should say this is the first review I've ever bothered to leave for any business I've visited. I'm going into my 3rd year with this location and have never questioned my decision. This family run branch goes above and beyond what I would expect. I'm always greeted with bright smiles and they actually make the effort to remember who I am! I've received friendly email reminders when I'd forgotten to pick up packages, and whenever there was the rare mix-up, they've done everything they can to make it right, and successfully so. They've never complained about my poor planning and staggered packages, and will always offer to get the door for me if I have multiple boxes. I always see the same faces - they're so busy and hard working and, yet, they take the time to check in and ask about life. I've never felt so appreciated simply picking up a package! I never get the pushy sales pitch, but they'll kindly inform me of their services if they notice I might be in need of them. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a happy balance of low-intensity, casual professionalism with a personal touch!

My friend was required to transport five boxes of personal belongings to her home in Ireland. We contacted a number of businesses in Victoria seeking information about the necessary procedure, costs, packing supplies and about securing help to move the boxes from my home to the shipping centre (since we did not have access to a truck). We were frustrated with the lack of help we received until I phoned UPS Store #482, on Oak Bay Avenue, and Nahid answered. She was pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient, and she helped us with every detail, including the pick-up and delivery of the boxes, which was done by her husband. Although it was evident that this is a busy business outlet, we never felt rushed. UPS really sucks. Waited all day for a delivery from Apple, following the tracking updates sent me by UPS. At 5:00 PM, received the message "Customer not available for delivery". I don't know whether the driver even bothered to drive past my house, but he certainly didn't bother to get out and knock on my door. What a liar.

Excellent customer service experience. The rep. Sam and the store owner spending more than a hours finding the cheapest rate for me (later on they told me that they contracted with about 10 vendors). I was shipping 10 boxes and they event restore for me to 9 boxes in total to save me another $90. I actually found them by chance, but now that I read some of these Google reviews, they are exactly what you are reading here: Knowledgeable, beyond helpful and trustworthy, to the extent that I asked them to pick up and wrap a complicated, large international shipment and send it to New York - it went smooth as silk! Naheed and Saheed know what they are doing! The reviews here show how much the locals in Victoria love them, but out of towners, from anywhere, take note! A large framed and under-glass artwork was packed and shipped from Victoria on a Tuesday afternoon and delivered to Yellowknife the following Saturday--completely intact.
