Quick and easy to write up a will with power of attorney. The only quick I'd warn anyone about would be that if you had to change your will in the future, you'd have to re-write it completely and pay the full price again so make sure you know exactly what you want before doing so. I would strongly not recommend the law office at Walmart stc. I went to them for an avadavit for my OSAP application. The person writing the document informed me that I did not require my spouse signature and I submitted my documents to OSAP. OSAP informed me the document was not valid because my spouse signature was not on the document and they could not process my application until the document is corrected. I returned to the law office and explained the situation as this document was not cheap and the lawyer in charge said that they would need to charge me for the service again if they were to make any corrections to the document, because that this was their policy. I was in shock and in disbelief because they had provided me with this misleading information and did not feel to do a small correction and at the time they did not inform me of any type of policy statement nor did I feel I needed to hear their policy because I trusted and believed they were an honest and respectable law office. They then asked if I would like to book an appointment with them to make this correction which would result in me paying the same fee all over again. I feel stressed out as this will effect my chances of attending school.This is emotionally draining as I trusted this law office to provide me with truthful and accurate information which they clearly did not.

We used Axess Law in Richmond Hill several months ago and liked the price for our job but found the staff quite slow. This time, we went to the Axess Law in Walmart, Scarborough Town Centre, and were extremely pleased with Sonia who was efficient, very pleasant and would highly recommend this office. I come in and the lawyer signs all documents and then she says it will be $116. And then she says we will have to shred your documents if you can't pay now. What a hustle. Absolutely awful service. 0/5. I do not recommend this firm up Les you are *specifically* going for notary services. The notary department is great. However we also used the firm for buying our first home. When I asked a question about our appointment, I did not receive a response. I received an email stating that I had a new appointment and date (that didn't actually exist). And had to email again to receive any human response. We provided all documentation stated in the email and were asked multiple times for additional unlisted documentation. We asked for a specific lawyer for our closing date and were told that was okay. We did not get that lawyer. We got a lawyer that was short, rude and late to our appointment. We weren't given proper information as to what we needed for the meeting and the lawyer left the conversation instead of trouble shooting with us. We were given unclear instructions upon the day that we were to send the bank draft. We had multiple emails and phone calls asking us THAT DAY, after our final signing appointment, two days before closing, to change multiple pieces of documentation that should have been confirmed and reviewed by the firm previously. The quote is $999 for buying a first time home. Our additional fees were $2000.00. Online the price for this is listed as roughly $1500.00. We have to overpay. All of this has been mentioned to the manager and all that was said was that it was our fault we changed our appointment the day before. (We had to have COVID testing and couldn't go in person so it went form in person to virtual, they had over 24 hours notice....?) Absolutely ridiculous. No compensation. Nothing. Don't go

Pathetic and very Rude customer service. The person at the service desk did not have an opinion on anything. This includes the document they send which has their logo on it. I had to attest a transcript which is only found online. The person did not have the basic courtesy to hear what i wanted to say. He kept saying "I do not have an opinion" I asked him to explain the attachment I received from Axess Law to confirm my appointment which mentioned that they attest online documents for a fee of 44.99CAD. But the guy did not even look at the attachment. I had clearly explained my case over call when i booked the appointment. They could have refused if this is not something they service. Instead, I had to go all the way to their office and experience their pathetic and rude customer service. If these people do not have opinion on their own documents, how can we trust them with any serious business . I wish I could give them 0 rating. Never going back

Good and quick if you know how to properly fill out the forms properly yourself. Talked to them before I brought my forms in and the person was helpful, but I was told the wrong information to fill out the forms. When I went to present my forms and my signed Commissioner of Oaths it was rejected by Service Ontario. Had to go back to Axess Law with the forms properly done and pay for another Commissioner of Oaths. They are quick and efficient but accuracy? Not so much. They even make you sign an agreement that they don't check the accuracy of the forms. Was thinking of originally using them for a will, now I am not so sure.

They should have a larger area and a large desk area if the receptionist is also helping with paperwork for the lawyer to sign. It was not comfortable standing around taking turns going to the counter to sign documents.

Be weary of using this service as a notary. They will take your money, but add on a disclaimer that they did not create the document NOR witness it being signed, thus null and voiding it's legal standing. Basically you pay for a worthless piece of paper.

In order to do a sale or purchase in real estate one has to be 18 yrs or older. The lawyer I saw today in their Scarborough location at 5 pm crossed one of the line that said “I know the said person (and) he/ she in my belief of the full age of 18 yrs” on affidavit of execution even after seeing my date of birth on the passport, which to my understanding means lawyer is confirming I am 18 yrs old when red all as a one sentence without any full stop in it. (She probably thought it was a character verification which it was not). She said it’s normal in Ontario to cross this line off. I requested her not to cross it off otherwise I can’t sell my property due to not being of legal age (I am way past legal age of 18) she refused and said my appointment time was up and that our discussion was being recorded in the camera and the office was closed. I just feel bad to name that person here because that person is probably learning and needs to put food on the table. That person seemed to be in very much rush. The person needs better communication and customer skills especially knowledge of legal language. I will not recommend this law firm to anyone. Cheap services are cheap for a reason. Save your money and time and go to someone who is passionate about their clients, their needs and treats them with respect and compassion. Needless to say I was overcharged for a couple of signatures that that person miscounted and then when I counted my signatures the lawyer corrected the amount after first charging it to my credit card. I stood there outside to see maybe they will listen and understand my concern and provide a better solution but they felt uncomfortable leaving that sentence in and took my documents to shred instead.

Do not use this company!!! My 83 year old mother made an appointment to do her will. They required a deposit of $33.89 over the phone. When she got there, they would not accept her I.D. after they told her they would over the phone. They apologized and said that they would put the request to refund her deposit through to head office. Two months later no refund. She called and they said they would look into the matter, and never called her back. She tried to open a case with Visa for the money, and Visa can not open a case for deposits given over the phone. They know this. Ripping off seniors Axess Law, really? This is an unethical company. Stay away!!!

Went there for my identity notarization.usually all do the passport front and back pages together .but they did only one.when I asked ?the girl said I need to pay extra for the last page of passport .since it was an emergency I did it but wont suggest to anyone.even my appointment was at 1 45 pm but had to wait until 2 to get them do it.if they don't keep timing why do they have to book an appointment that too online?? Very rude, prejudice lawyers (if they are) I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION TO ANYBODY. They treat client's family members, or closed friends to go there with the client as garbage "gold diggers" criminals, kick them off without learning who they are and what are they up to. Regardless they already go there with an agreement. They told my friend not to show and not to tell anything about my Power of Attorney status. I can only think of they have their prejudice from their country of origin. They have a lot to learn about either of people or this country's custom. Most of all: trust and respect. We had the worst customer service experience here last week and I have sworn to write this review as soon as I get the chance to. We booked a schedule for notary and the man who I think was the lawyer was the rudest person we had encountered. He was so abrupt, didn't even bother to say hi when it was our turn, nor apologized for the delay as we we were waiting for almost half an hour before he attended to us. When I said we had an appointment, he wasn't even sure if we do and had to check his computer. My nephew who is an international student has a document for exam application which requires a notary. He only has his passport and a birth certificate (stamped as certified copy). My booking confirmation says that these document will suffice. But he looked at my nephew's passport and leafed through each page, and questioned his visitor's visa and I explained its validity since obviously he doesn't know. He continued to scrutinize my nephew's passport which by the way has no reason to be invalid considering that he is also applying to write for an exam. Then he said that he cannot notarize our document because the birth certificate is not original, although it was certified. I reckon that if you need to validate the identification, you don't have to question the visa and make my nephew feel really uncomfortable with the experience. I demanded for a good reason why he can't notarize our document and he said, well, 'some might accept that but not me". I will never ever go back here. We went to another law office the next day and the experience was totally night and day. We had a respectable, amiable, seasoned lawyer who notarized our document without question. Whoever that person working on Thursday night never had the slightest idea what customer service means.

As I had previously noticed the Axess Law store at my local mall I took a chance and dropped in one morning without an appointment. Fortunately they were not busy and took me right away. Poor customer service, incompetent lawyer and a complete waste of my time. Needed a simple affidavit signed, the on-site lawyer refused to sign it arguing I needed legal advice! I told him I already have a lawyer and that my own lawyer recommended I come here to get it notarized because of distance. My lawyer even tried to speak to them himself to understand why they will not sign, and they refused to talk to him! Then to make matters worse, they had the audacity to not even return my document back to me, even though it is my property! Never using this service again, there are a lot of other notary services available with more competent and efficient lawyers.

Booked an appointment to get a passport size picture notarized. I explained to the agent over the phone what I wanted done to ensure I was at the right place. I was told that the service was offered and was told the price. I booked an appointment to come in. They called me and ask to to reschedule 15 mind before my appointment,(wasted trip because I was already at the mall). My appointment was booked for the following day. I get there, only to be told that the service i wanted wasn't available and isn't done. Tirsl waste of my time snd horrible communication skills on the phone snd I person. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Very quick, sweet and honest review. You never really understand what 'You get what you pay for" is until you choose Axess Law. Decided to close my condo with them but 100% regret it. Until this day, they still have the wrong unit recorded on legal paperwork. The staff is nice, but unfortunately seem lost in their work place. I have left multiple VMs to Mark Morris and staff, and even walked in to get some answers but no luck. They quoted me 1 price in the beginning with promises of no extra fees but a year later, they hit me with a whole different number. All in all, if choosing these guys, be prepared to do A LOT of following up yourself, and a lot of the footwork yourself.

If I put zero stars, i would. The company has such a bad customer service. I called the call centre to book for my parents for power of attorney at scarborough location. Parents are existing customers who made a number of documents at Axess years ago. The lawer refused to do the new power of attorney saying there is conflict of interest..the lady from call center named Ann who is typically rude by nature was unable to further explain the reasons behind conflict of interest. I asked to talk to the acting manager since the manager is in vacation, the acting manager never answered my phone calls or perhaps not even listened to my voice message. My advice never use Axess, they have pathetic customer service and quality of work is not even great. they made name spelling mistakes a number of times on my and my parents docs in the past.
