Very beautiful campus

Our daughter was recently accepted in the environmental engineering program at UBC. Everyone in admissions has been helpful and kind. We're so excited for what's to come!

Sara BM

Worst admission staff. I had an academic standing of 90%+ average in high school, had an award for volunteering hours and participation in clubs. Wrote my admission essay well in depth. And still they didn't accept me because I had taken an extra pre cal 12 course in another country. They just used it as an excuse to not accept me. I get a feeling that the person taking that decision was racist. I wouldn't even give one star.

Michael “haans” Lee

certainly not worth the tuition fees they make you pay here (the non opt outs), the extra non course costs total into costing more than the actual course you are paying for, they keep building new facilities but they are all for recreation...when they should be focusing on educational buildings...

APlaceToBeWithMyThoughts

(1) More construction workers than students - You will be detoured 5 different times on your way to class (2) Campus cares little about your safety and security. UBC is notorious for sexual assaults. I've seen 10x more parking authority than security while here. Also... When it snows in the winter they will do very little to scrape the paths. I've personally witnessed over 6 people falling on the hard icy ground because it was unkempt - But don't worry, come fall there will sure to be countless faculty blowing the dangerous fallen leafs off the paths (3) Frat houses are excessively noisy during the week and weekends and leave drinks scattered everyone on/off campus. Yes it's what frat houses do, but I couldn't imagine living anywhere near campus and feel sorry for those that do (4) Exam period is unnecessarily long. 3 weeks is insane. My exam period lasted the full 3 weeks (only 3 exams) and I got 6 days off for Christmas to fly home/back. Why can't they complete it in a week or 1.5 weeks? Or give a slightly longer Christmas break (5) They make it pretty well-known (almost joyfully so) that you're nothing more than a number and a pay check. I"m really glad I'm graduating this year. UBC has been a horrible experience for me and if you can pursue your degree elsewhere I would recommend it. It's a very overrated campus/school.

One of the most beautiful campuses in the world!

Peter Li

Beautiful old fashioned university. Best university in BC, and in Canada. The building in the school have modern and old fashioned interweave together. A historic university and beautiful study environment!

D S

It rains too much. Dorm life is cool, tons of people from every part of the planet. You never have to go to class to pass most basic courses.

Tell you the truth was not visiting UBC was down at wreck beach for Canada Day good times good times

Aamer Chaudhry

What a beautiful place to live & study.

Baapooh Chung

The campus, students, and professors are spectacular. The adminstration, on the other hand, has its share of imperfections.

Lynne Lien

Decided to explore UBC as we’ve heard they have a beautiful campus. Despite it being summer, campus was still very lively. We walked around the athletic areas and there were a lot of people playing sports and walking around. Beautiful campus! We missed the botanical garden by 15 minutes but will be back to check it out!

Kun Z

Beautiful campus! 1 of the most beautiful university campuses in the world. And, this university is a part of the beautiful Vancouver marathon route.

Janet Sinclair

UBC Botanical garden is now open. Walk among tall trees and beautiful plants.

Sabrina Fernandes

Everytime I visit this campus I am in awe if how gorgeous it is????

Tsy Mrl

Feels like the most inspiring university campus I’ve ever been!! Wish I could take a course at the sustainable department at some point. Went for a seminar about sustainable fashion during the last sustainable fashion week and the organisation works great! Big highlight on the structure and architecture of the campus, great outdoor and clear signage. You can find a museum, art gallery, chinese garden and if you want to take a little walk in the forest you’ll end up on a little beach on the ocean with a stunning view of the mountains! A dream!!

Tim Tankard

A fantastic university in a dazzling natural setting. Campus amenities and features are many, the academics are top notch, and the experience is incredibly unique. The campus is only marred by the expensive condo developments that encroach upon it.

謝益修

This is a great great university, I bet. Really enjoy the stay in this campus tour. Hopefully can visit here again in the future.

Angie C

A uni with BIG campus...worth paying a visit

Abo Tufano

A great Campus, where both students and visitors can enjoy a touch of real Canadian architecture and design. A must place you cannot miss when you are in Vancouver.

Although, I'm not still not study in here and I want to study in here for master degree cognitive systems. I love the environments so much and very peaceful. The facilities outside is good such as there are so many restaurants and there have a Starbucks or many things u can buy so don't worry if u forgot something but u can't buy furniture in there OFC lol. I remember there have department store "Rexall" so if u sick, u still can buy medicine from there. The dorms were very bad lol. The bed was hard and the sounds was ek ek ek..... There were not a lot of equipments for u in the dorm so make sure u bring whatever u have, if u live in their dorms forever lol. I'm in love with their library, bookstore and rose garden lol. The library is so big with a lot of information u can buy, so many spaces for u to study and many facilities in the library too. There have a computer labs and charging area.

Thankful for beauty that comforts during a pandemic

5 starts for campus, administration, libraries, counselors, student centers... It is easy to understand--lots of fees, and you pay for it! I live in Vancouver--it is a beautiful city. I go to school and want to learn, not to enjoy its "beauty". Other programs like medicine, forestry, science, and the like I am sure are great. However, I give one star for my program. Teachers, most of them, are contracted, teaching part time, teaching more than one courses, at more than one universities. Not enough time to prepare their lectures. Do searching on ratemyprofessor webside, it is hard to find a good one. The program is too rushed, a 2.5 hour lecture a week goes through more than one chapters. You pretty much go home, revise, and learn it yourself. I might be a dumb one who couldn't learn that way. AGAIN, I came here to LEARN not to LOOK AT its beauty!!!

The University of British Columbia (UBC) is a public research university with campuses in Vancouver and Kelowna, British Columbia. Established in 1908, UBC is British Columbia's oldest university. The university ranks among the top three universities in Canada.[8][9][10][11] With an annual research budget of $600 million, UBC funds over 8,000 projects a year.

Robin Massey

I love walking through the UBC campus! The spaciousness & greenery let you forget you're so close to a busy city.

The University of British Columbia (UBC) is a public research university with campuses in Vancouver and Kelowna, British Columbia. Established in 1908, UBC is British Columbia's oldest university. The university ranks among the top three universities in Canada. With an annual research budget of $600 million, UBC funds over 8,000 projects a year. The Vancouver campus is situated on the unceded territory of the Musqueam people in the University Endowment Lands, about 10 km (6 mi) west of Downtown Vancouver. UBC is home to TRIUMF, Canada's national laboratory for particle and nuclear physics, which houses the world's largest cyclotron. In addition to the Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies and Stuart Blusson Quantum Matter Institute, UBC and the Max Planck Society collectively established the first Max Planck Institute in North America, specializing in quantum materials. One of the largest research libraries in Canada, the UBC Library system has over 9.9 million volumes among its 21 branches. The Okanagan campus, acquired in 2005, is located in Kelowna, British Columbia. Eight Nobel laureates, 71 Rhodes scholars, 65 Olympians, ten fellows in both American Academy of Arts & Sciences and the Royal Society, and 273 fellows to the Royal Society of Canada have been affiliated with UBC. Three Canadian prime ministers, including Canada's first female prime minister Kim Campbell and current prime minister Justin Trudeau have been educated at UBC. The main campus is at Point Grey, approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) from downtown Vancouver. It is near several beaches and has views of the North Shore mountains. The 7.63-square-kilometre (1,890-acre) Pacific Spirit Regional Park serves as a green-belt between the campus and the city. Buildings on the Vancouver campus occupy 1.09 million m2 (11.7 million sq ft) gross on 1.7 square kilometres (420 acres) of maintained land. The campus street plan is mostly in a grid of malls (some of which are pedestrian-only). Lower Mall and West Mall are in the southwestern part of the peninsula, with Main, East, and Wesbrook Malls northeast of them. The campus is not within Vancouver's city limits, and therefore UBC is policed by the RCMP rather than the Vancouver Police Department. However, the Vancouver Fire Department provides service to UBC under a contract. In addition to UBC RCMP, there is also the UBC Campus Security that patrols the campus. Postage sent to any building on campus includes Vancouver in the address. UBC Vancouver also has two satellite campuses within the City of Vancouver: at Vancouver General Hospital, for the medical sciences, and at Robson Square in downtown Vancouver, for part-time credit and non-credit programmes. UBC is also a partner in the consortium backing Great Northern Way Campus Ltd, and is affiliated with a group of adjacent theological colleges, which include the Vancouver School of Theology, Regent College, Carey Theological College and Corpus Christi College. The campus is home to numerous gardens. The UBC Botanical Garden and Centre for Plant Research, the first UBC department, holds a collection of over 8000 different kinds of plants used for research, conservation and education. The UBC botanical garden's original site was at the "Old Arboretum". All that remains of it today are trees planted in 1916 by John Davidson. The old arboretum is now home to many buildings including the First Nations House of Learning. The Nitobe Memorial Garden, built to honour Japanese scholar Inazo Nitobe, the garden has been the subject of more than fifteen years' study by a UBC professor, who believes its construction hides a number of impressive features, including references to Japanese philosophy and mythology, shadow bridges visible only at certain times of year, and positioning of a lantern filled with light at the exact date and time of Nitobe's death each year. The garden is behind the university's Asian Centre, which was built using steel girders from Japan's exhibit at Osaka Expo.

An interesting collection of spiecemens and some displays. Interesting to walk around and there's a interactive room in the back for a more close up view. It's a little dark and passive for those bringing kids, the little ones might eventually get scared or bored after a long visit. Otherwise, it's an interesting place to go at least once

David Henri

Such a great place to visit. The campus, the little village, the trails around the location. All is really amazing!

Smith P

University of British Columbia has a huge campus. I stayed at Walter Gauge residence during my visit to UBC. If you have your own vehicle, you can easily reach in any corner of the UBC. You can find couple of Korean/ Chinese supermarket around this area. There is 'Save on Foods' shopavailable nearby.

Daisy Wu

The most beautiful campus in North America

Jiang

Nice school nice environment.

Dean A “604dna”

Awesome campus beautiful location.

Richard Loat

One of the country's leading universities for a reason. Leading academics, top sports teams, and world class faculty. Known for it's business and law there are so many other faculties that deliver world class professionals. UBC's social work programme is considered the best in the country and their med-school ranks amongst the country's best. It's a bit isolated living on Campus but there are great bus routes into downtown Vancouver and it's close to the life in Kits and Jericho.

Edwin Nathaniel

Great place to visit and enjoy the view, especially in the summer. Lots of interesting rustic building, albeit they're building bigger and modern looking buildings lately. Oh yeah... It is a decent place to learn something as well... ????

Helena Wolf

Awesome. Amazing buidings and spaces.

Tom Moloney

Beautiful campus! Lots of parkland and access to the Pacific Ocean.

Matthew Strelau

UBC is a great school with engaging professors, a huge variety of courses, a good support network, and multitude of facilities. Great view of the ocean too.

Doug Chamberlain

The baseball field was amazing.

thomas rodrian

While living in Seattle, trips to Vancouver happened almost every time we had a three-day weekend. After falling in love with Vancouver, I checked into transferring from University of Washington to The University of British Columbia. Unfortunately, the out-of-state tuition costs were too high. Nice idea while it lasted though.

Ali Al Adawi

Worst university on planet. Wife got accepted here and I came with full scholarship to do my studies and they didn't accept me. Even though, I pointed out to them that my wife was already accepted (she was also fully funded) and I don't need any funds from them. Just admission. I was going to be a free researcher for them but they still said hell no. I had a US-based degree and a very high GPA. Till date, I still don't understand why! But I wish this message reaches to some boss in school to see how corrupt the system is.

Louise MM

The best campus among the world.

Jane Fan

We visit Japanese garden here. It is nice place worth to see.

Dan Patton

It's a beautiful university - especially the Northern end of main mall around the gardens and the flagpole. Beaches are a bonus, but are clothing-optional, even in winter

Hugo Kuo

great university ???? ❤

KOCHANSKI V P

GREAT TOP 40 SCHOOL. WISH THEY EXPANDED THEIR PROGRAM LIST.

Chandan Sejekan

Blindingly brilliant campus. One can easily spend a day just staring at the mountains from within the rose gardens. Amazing Professors and really helpful staff. Have interned here and just cannot wait to return for my masters!

Chad Loro

First off, as a student of UBC for four years now, I have grown to really love and embrace this school. The biggest perks of UBC are its beautiful campus, world-renowned programs, and its endless construction (just kidding!).

Brock Turner

Great place all-around...places to visit, places to eat. You should go see!

Jason Chen

Very nice campus, cozy living neighborhood

American “Doll” Girl

I want my children to be enriched here.

Moslim Uddin

not bad

Helen Darbyshire

Lots of food outlets, some great places to sit, a fantastic library and it’s a great campus to walk around. The little Earth Science museum is free. Not to mention the fact you can get a decent education here too.

Eric Jandciu

Formerly a well-respected university but now primarily a property development company with a few nice museums and one good pub.

craig higgins

What's not to love about UBC

Monica “Monyster” Olmos Blanca

What a beautiful University and the people are nice.

Romina De Franceschi

It is a clean and tidy place. Whit a fountain, parks, a coffee shop, people playing soccer, some chairs to enjoy the view. Very nice place.

Maret Christiansen

When you go to the same place most of the time, it's very easy to navigate UBC. I have that fortune, but whenever I have a new place to visit, it's a little more challenging, say knowing where to park to get close to the destination. As an older person, this is actually an issue.

Rachel Windsor

This huge world famous university campus is so gorgeous, especially in the fall! It is so colorful everywhere! No wonder it is listed as one of the must-go tourist place in Vancouver as well as a great place to see the fall colors (when the leaves turn different colors in October). I really love their green college (the dorm area for graduate students). It looks like a nice retreat area!!! I wished I could come here for my master!!! Even if I have been to some top universities (e.g., Stanford, Harvard, MIT, etc.), this nice university still wins my heart!!! <3 Highly recommend coming here for a visit even as a tourist!!!

Amal Baby Cherian

Very nice college

Chad Nantais

Not much of a university anymore. UBC, in financial desperation, has sold off much of its land to residential developers who in turn rent small units out to families with small children who scream all day for no reason, while stressed out mothers run you over on the sidewalk with their double strollers. However, if you enjoy wasting your university years in Vancouver's newest "Baby Ghetto", then this is the place to be!

Zohra Zohra

The place is surrounded by trees in almost all directions. It is a like mini city with in city.

Tim Post

Ah yes, my alma mater, the University of British Columbia (UBC) ! There are many sites to visit at UBC when you tour the campus, such as the Museum of Anthropology, or the Nitobe Gardens, to name a few. I believe there are tours around UBC (it's best to check out the UBC website for more info), but I personally like to walk around, bike or hike there, absorbing the scenic sites in and around UBC. To refresh myself later, there are several restaurants and eateries off UBC (at West Broadway) that serve delicious eats. A visit or a tour of UBC's campus and its interesting sites is well worth it.

Muhammad Kashif Nayab

One of the best point to see the Fall Colours of Vancouver.

Adam Mesa

Lovely scenery and campus. Lots of food options if you're there during the day, but not many are open late. You're better off going down town for that.

Sneaky Pete

It was awesome. Loved Wreck Beach ????

Nikul Panchal

It’s a whole different world in itself. Everything feels so lively.

ERIC LEE

Large-size university. Overcrowded classrooms for select courses. Less intimate campus than smaller schools such as UVic. Expensive on-campus diners and parking.

Anna Noh (이쁘니들 맘)

so wide and beautiful landscape

Larissa Leidl

UBC campus is so stunningly beautiful it is an awe inspired trip. We will not forget.

Miguel David Garcia Gamez

Very nice place to get info around the world

Kazi Roni

One of the most beautiful campus I’ve ever visited. The environment is very good. Awesome beaches around the university. Very cool place for study. Just love it.

Lorri Prime

It's a nice place to study!!!

Cinaa M Hoorang

It's one of the world's most beautiful campuses.

Carlos Augusto Díaz Guevara

Space, three's study and calm. Cradle of knowledge.

C. Albert Thompson

This is a good university they have many different degree programs. I am in the Ph.D program in computer science. They pay more than most US schools for the PhD program. The campus has lots of places to eat and is a beautiful place to walk around.

Evan Friesen

Beautiful campus, lots of great parks and scenery. Be sure to check the hours and availability of anything you want to do here (Nitobe Gardens, Museum of Anthropology, etc.), Because they tend to not be open very late or long, and lots of construction is underway at UBC.

Julien

An incredibly beautiful campus for an awesome university. Really enjoyed my brief visit here. Jealous of the students studying here in this great city and faculty.

Nicky Chahal

It is my dream to study here.

Jack Chu

Great university with huge campus and a lot of facilities. The new library is awesome in both the look and functionality. As a graduate student from here, I really wish technology wise Canadian school would be more updated to catch up with current industry.

Changmin Jeon

Beautiful place

Jones La-Nibetle

Beautiful and serene studying environment.

Karen McBurney

Beautiful campus. Stayed at the Gage Apartments: reasonably priced and very clean. Walked everywhere. The PointGrill Restaurant has excellent food and a very friendly wait staff.

I. Roy

I visited this place 2 weeks ago. Loved walking there. Everyone is so friendly and the area is relatively safe compared to other parts of Vancouver.

Aldrich Aryadi

They have their own beach lol

Belal Hossain

One of the best universities in the world, which provides quality education and research training.

David Rotenberg

We went to the UBC Pharma Building to get out first Pfizer vaccines. Beautiful building, gorgeous campus!

William Sun

Best school ever, helped guide me through a “confused” period of my life. I will ALWAYS be proud to say UBC is MY alma mater and wear UBC swag with PRIDE. Thank you ono daddy! VERY COOL PS ( yes the view from the rose garden is A - mazing)

Prince Adonis Ocean

I was there in 1998 for SUPERCON, the national convention for Student Governments from college/university campuses all across Canada...what an amazing time! The last day there our entire team (The Sheridan College SU) opted to check out Wreck Beach (nude)...what an experience! We also went on a dinner cruise around Vancouver Island around sunset...what a spectacular evening!

Cathy Puskas

It's a good university with a beautiful campus and location. Buildings can be quite distant so factor that into travel time between classes. I've had some fabulous professors here, particularly in biology and French.

Tom Ve

There is a nice girl named gabby who goes there ❤️

Jackie W

The most beautiful school campus in BC! I spent 4 years getting my undergrad here and they were made pleasant by the gorgeous museums and gardens, modern vs old architecture and the natural scenery surrounding each academic building. Students receive free admission to all these wonderful places on campus and there are so many things to explore!

趙雯津

So beautiful university!

Justin Lee

As my alma mater, I'm biased, but it really is a beautiful campus. I've been here nearly every day for the last five years and it still doesn't get old. Be sure to check out the Museum of Anthropology, Beaty biodiversity museum, Wreck beach, Nitobe Garden, the Botanical Garden, and main mall.

Jia Yue He

Absolutely beautiful physical location, marred somewhat by the constant construction, and never plays itself in movies. The bureaucracy can become Kafkaesque. Tread lightly.

Picky Pickles

One of the best go to place on your day off during the pendenmic There are public water closet everywhere which is very important

Jimmy Esteras

Holy macaroni is it pretty here. Don't expect to be able to walk from one end to the other in a few minutes, UBC is huge and you be seeing lots of big screw off buildings. Restaurants galore, one liquor store and not many people out and about because of covid. Trails are great, Wreck Beach is dope and plenty more!

Doug Plant

Warren Field at UBC, expensive parking and very aggressive ticketing.

A Maas

This place is beautiful. The campus is huge and full of endless surprises. Definitely a must see- especially at night when everything is lit up.

William Pryor

I do refer to the university endowment area. I'm very used to that area.

Patrick Mirindi (Pat)

Great area to study

reb lee

such an enjoyable ride with stunning view

Don Adlam

A beautiful school. Every effort seems to have been made to make this a well organized and presented place of learning. The landscaping is gorgeous, and in the plethora of new buildings lie some historic finds dating back to the early 1900's, most of which seem to be in use.

David Martin

It's a great university for visitors. There has been rampant overdevelopment in some areas but they have preserved many open areas and green spaces. There are plenty if places to visit (Nitobe gardens, museum of anthropology etc); too many to mention.

Alex Wang

Not UofT -1 star. /s

Clair V

It has a really nice campus and it's high-ranked. The admission team and advisors in there barely reply to emails and when they do ,they just copy information from their website and paste it in the email when they're paid to help you, they sometimes leave before the end of office hours. In some cases they admit students then suddenly change their mind and reject them in the second week of the semester! Im many cases they don't just reject, they disrespect!

Jas Deol

Beautiful and huge campus nestled around mountains and ocean and big park. So many old n modern buildings

Trevor Drakes

Boring, terrible professors, terrible atmosphere. Too bloody big to appreciate the environment. Learn more at SFU and with a better community, location, and teachers. Whatever you do, don't get caught up in the hype of "UBC 100" and all that. They just want your money.

Luke Paine

Great woodsy walk in the city. Fun off leash experience if you have pooches

Darren Westlake

Beautiful walkways, there are few old Fort style building, if you visiting the campus try Pizza

Geert Kleinhout

Beautiful place of higher learning. All should visit lots of interesting places and things to do

Andy Chen

The professor here should prepare more for their teaching. I feel like every time the professor came to the class, reading the handouts that he did a long time ago. He can not even concluded some important points. Thus we were always confused what he talked about.

Jinny C

Very beautiful campus, lots of food options. Lots of open space for outdoor activities.

Robert Yuen

Campus is huge. It takes at least twenty minutes to walk from one end to the other. At least 20 libraries. Contains several museums and has an absurd number of trees all across the grounds. It's quite pretty if one has the time to admire it and it isn't overly crowded during school season.

Quentin Ou

Can't think of anything bad about this university!!! hater keeps hating .. but in fact it is really nice ... pricing is okay, compared to universities in The USA or Europe... a little bit of debt is reasonable... and I don't think roughly $400 for 3-credit course is too much ... UBC is just too good to be true...

Aziz Mohamed

Beautiful campus. Very friendly People all around and a billion international students.

Peyvand

The loveliest campus! Beautiful landscape and nice buildings. Views to the Pacific Ocean and close to the Pacific Spirit Park. A little piece of heaven on Musqueam land that we are grateful for.

Dr. Anjum Iqbal

VERY NICE PLACESpeople would like to visi t I AM LOOKING FOR WHEN I GET CHANCE IN NEAR FUTURE AT ALL.

Multi Sari

Beautiful university, wish my son can study there

Sergey Honchu

Beautiful campus with wonderful students but professors who often neglect teaching topics in favor of simply assigning busy work. Classes are often useless, with "clicker questions," used to record attendance on overpriced "clickers," being the only reason many students show up. If you attend this school, you will most likely be better off spending time learning through external sources than in class. UBC has potential to be a truly amazing school, but is hampered by its desire to push away any student who doesn't fit UBC's outdated vision of the model student, that is, a student who forgoes learning for enjoyment and partaking in activities they love, in favor of dispassionately forcing themselves through classes and activities for the sole reason of making oneself marketable and desirable to employers.

sanaz mani

I attended UBC not knowing the horrible things they do to animals! they have many animal testing labs and test 100 thousands of animals each year ,,,, including monkeys! shame on you UBC! I am ashamed of myself for not knowing this when i was there ! i would have started a campaign there...

Mooc X (Mooc Xtreme)

A truly gorgeous campus. Only walked around but would recommend if you are nearby to explore the campus. Lots of pretty buildings, fountains, and sculptures. One of the nicest campuses I've seen. Don't know much about the programs but would be open to take a tour to see even more of what they have here.

Jane Chu

I went to UBC for the Covid vaccination and all those who will receive vaccination there also receive free parking at the Thunderbird Parade which is right next door to the Building of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Right at the entrance and all the way through are smiling friendly faces of Westjet staff helping to direct us. This is definitely First Class Premium service, seamless, organized and efficient. The medical personell administering the vaccine are kind and reassuring. We received clear printed information sheets on "After vaccination care" and asked to sit for observation for about 15 minutes. Although no juice or cookies for good behavior, I must rate the whole experience as 5 stars or a 10 out of 10. Now if only other government agencies can run like....????

moe moe1989

Called to ask about a mechanical engineering program and left 10 messeges to set an appointment and never called me back worst university stuff i have ever seen!

James S

Security need to be improved. 2 bikes were stolen in a year.

Ricardo Seah

Aside from being a great educational institution, it is a beautiful university and great spots for photography including some museums and gardens.

Alnoor

Great place to visit. Beautiful campus , can visit various gardeñs and museums. Surrounding area is also nice and scenic and can walk to Locarno beach as well

Alex Zhang

Beautiful campus (despite all the construction), and many great profs, but unfortunately with the way UBC is handling in-person exams, I must give this one star. They should *not* be making students write exams with hundreds or even thousands of other people in the same room during a pandemic, especially when someone is sick and could very easily pass it to others. With the omicron variant spreading very quickly, this is inexcusable.

Jolanta Prokopowicz

It was a new experience. Two doctors were patient and understanding my fear while getting a needle in my hip.

L L

Beautiful place for events and photos

W Richard

Beautiful campus and the view is so amazing.

Xavier Gauvin

Very nice campus nice to walk around and go see the museum and botanical garden

Marnee Klintworth

Area has changed very much since I was past here. I was coming to work on a construction site unfortunately from Westbrook there are virtually no signs, probably a rule about it, so after a walk down a gravel road, through the woods for fifteen minutes the tendancy would be to turn around and leave. A few signs just so you know your headed in right direction would be helpful...because at one point I almost turned around & headed home. In this case 'wayfinding' is not a priority that's for sure, too bad because UBC is such a beautiful location. PLEASE add signage!!!

Ekta Gill

Putting students into debt with its over priced tuition so it can spend $47,000 on a first edition Harry Potter book ???? great use of money, wayyyyy better than giving a grant of $1,000 each to 47 students in need or something. ????

Dhawalraj Singh

University is a very nice neighborhood. Though very expensive and usually day to day amenities are really far

Jan

I like its campus, and landscape beside sea

Shaheer Raza

Beautiful university to visit. Just don't come study here.

KUIS 3131017

Soooo large. If you don't care where you are, you will lose your way. There are some places we can have lunch. You can see some good views and visit Japanese style garden.

Mik Redd

4 weeks to process? ALL IS DUE JAN 30. BY THE TIME YOU ANSWER.... IT IS A DEADLINE!?!?!? PLEASE REPLY. Answer your phones please this is absolutely ridiculous. Its 2020. Not 1875.

Yoshi Sereniti

Felt like the Chance of a Lifetime when I got to go to the UBC Summer Science Program once upon a time.

Alex Kinkead

they care about your money but not you

Juan Hernandez

I went for a procedure and was glad everything is fine. The medical staff and admitace people were great. It was a good experience for me. The campus as a whole is a great place to visit as well. Great university to attend and visit.

Nitahi Escolar Bach

UBC is an amazing school but the highlight is the campus. Even if you're not a student at UBC you should totally come visit, there's two very amazing museums; one being the museum of anthropology which is just really cool a lot of history and art mostly of Canadian indegenious but there is some variety, the second one is the Beaty biodiversity museum which has a blue whale skeleton one of the only in the world. The nature around UBC is beautiful too just walking around the forest, or going to the japanese garden, or go down to the beach there's just so much to see. Everyone should come to the campus, there's enough activities for anyone.

D Y

As a proud UBC graduate, I still often think of the good memories with the friends I met during my undergraduate years. But, if I could go back to high school, I would not go to UBC. I would go to other smaller colleges to learn some more practical skills.

gurbir khaira

Awesome university and amazing people whom you will meet from all around the world and it's wonderful to live at Walter gage with shared apartments you will taste the cosmopolitan views.

Hard to get in, must have high average. Very competitive and a lot of stress, I would say that’s the normal university life.

Ch Isa

Best campus ever !

Daniel Wilson

Clean mostly and fair accomodations, a bit high priced

Without the ability to download or send maps with "dragging" changes, maps functionality is less useful for me in real time. I use a different app most of the time bcos of that. Oops. Just realized this is in the wrong section. Shoud'a been in Google's Map review section. Nvm, ignore Carry on.

Grad class of 2015 Best school, best teachers, the worst students. Oh and don't forget World's best clothing optional WreckBeach

Sophia Piche

Beautiful campus at the edge of a beautiful city! Nice place to walk around, especially the Japanese gardens, botanical gardens and Wreck beach (if old and unattractive naked people are ok with you). Excellent school as well!

Parvez Fattah

One of the best universities in the country in the top places to live in the world. Top quality research institute. One of the most scenic campuses in the world with the forest, mountain and the sea in close proximity. Close to the famous Wreck Beach. Other beaches just minutes away.

Mostly good memories I guess. Heavily commercialized. But I still feel strong academic vibe here. Vibrant community, and live up to its status as a living lab for sustainability.

Ta Yen

City on its own. Parking could be cheaper.

yilin zhang

Will miss here a lot after graduation

Eugene Sawka

Great little Pub which you wouldn't even no existed if it wasn't for a sign by the road. It's across the street from the Museum of Anthropology

G Aquino

Did a lot of power walking around the campus and out into the Point Grey neighborhood. Great vibe overall. Lots of open green spaces and superb architecture. Check out Rose Garden lookout, which provides scenic views of the mountains of West Vancouver and beyond. And then there's the clothing-optional Wreck Beach. For food, head to University Blvd, where there's plenty of options for the budget conscious.

Never when here but google maps told me to write a review

its a great university, but like most other universities in canada, aside from quebec, it is very expensive. if you go to school here and graduate with a bachelors it is likely you will be more than $30,000 in debt. on top of that vancouver is very expensive. the only way to access UBC is by car or bus. and it takes a long time either way.

Fennella Shapiro

One of the best Canada University. Good park and location. Very terrific place to living there.

Jonathan Budiardjo

Relatively clean, though the roads flood quite quickly when rain gets heavy. Quite accessible to foot traffic, and a beautiful campus.

Raymond Chan

Proud to be a part of this great university! Class of 94

Motola O

Great Students ????????

Al Houston

Large campus filled with many sites of interest to view .. Wreck Beach is a great experience

alex m

Abusive staff and zero accountability. Been trying for years to have them take accountability for their actions but they are so incredibly full of themselves that they refuse to take any responsibility for their mistakes. Absolutely shocking that they remain in business.

Hash Brown

Good environment. Trash atmosphere. If you're rich and here to study ARTs, you'll be having the best times of your life. Because the school lifestyle is to enjoy while you can, get passing grades and do some Yoga and drink some kombucha. However, if you're poor and here to study, you've come to the wrong place. People here don't have the patience to sit down and read a book. They want to drink, party, and have fun. At least that's most of the people. Good for you if you find a place to do some hard work, though. But that's just a very rare sight as the environment of this place isn't suitable for studying and improving yourself.
