When his secretary kindly tried to give me explanations, Mr. Bourassa told him in the loudspeaker not to waste his time because it was not his job or his responsibilities. I was given an appointment with her for the next afternoon. She sent me an email with the clarifications I had been asking for the past few days but told me that again she would not be available for VR. I moved 4 times to pick up the check. In short, it took me 4 visits to his office, several calls and several emails to get all the answers to my questions. I don't understand why she hesitated to give me information. Based on my experience, I would not recommend his services. Lors de la première rencontre l’Etat de déboursements était incomplet, la lecture des documents a été fait dans le rush. Deux jours plus tard on m’a dit d’aller chercher mon cheque avant 5 :00 pm, je suis arrivée a 4 :40 pm et le bureau été fermé, Me Bourassa ne s’est pas excusée. J’ai demandé des clarifications à propos de l’Etat de Déboursements, je n’ai pas eu de réponse. 3me fois à son bureau. On m’a montré un chèque mais pas des réponses à mes questions. Me Bourassa n’était pas là. Lorsque sa secrétaire a aimablement essayé de me donner des explications, Me Bourassa lui dit dans l’haute parleur de ne pas perdre son temps parce que ce n’était pas son travail ni dans ses responsabilités. On m’a donné rendez-vous avec elle pour le lendemain après-midi. Elle m’a envoyé un email avec les clarifications que j’avais demandait depuis quelques jours mais m’a dit qu’encore une fois elle ne serait pas disponible pour la RV. Je me suis déplacée une 4 fois pour ramasser le chèque. Bref, ça m’a pris 4 visites à son bureau, plusieurs appels et plusieurs emails pour avoir toutes les réponses à mes questions. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi elle hésitait à me donner des informations. Sur la base de mon expérience, je ne recommanderais pas ses services.

Un gros manque de professionnalisme, aucun relationnel, un cabinet qui semble débordé, très peu de temps passé sur notre dossier, beaucoup d'erreurs dans les documents, par 3 fois des mauvais ajustements des frais vendeur/acheteur, et notaire non arrangeante... Un an plus tard, nous sommes encore à régler des items qui auraient du l'être par ce notaire et redécouvrons des erreurs dans les documents... Que ce soit du côté vendeur ou de notre côté, la conclusion est la même, nous ne recontacterons plus jamais ce notaire.

Having observed my wife's recent business with Me Bourassa as a vendor in a real estate transaction, and having read some of the below reviews, I am surprised to be sharing a negative experience. The experience with the office and Me Bourassa was very rushed, not well prepared for our appointment, and certainly did not go above and beyond as other reviews have stated. The office also did not respect their posted, and verbally communicated business hours. After the transaction, we found out the bank was overpaid, but even before when we questioned some additional amounts on the calculations, we were told by the notaire that these additional amounts were at the request of the bank. This could have been prevented. Most people rely on professionals like Me Bourassa to provide clarification and ensure a smooth transaction, as this is not a daily occurrence for them. If you share these same expectations, choose carefully.
