Avoid at all cost. Long story short: we are having the transaction and documents reviewed by another notary because nothing she does can be trusted. Waiting for a cheque for a transaction closed early FEBRUARY 2021, and we are now end of JULY 2021. Not only is her staff incompetent, but she is a very rude person and you'll end up spending more money due to their incompetence. Full story below… Never have I encountered such incompetence in a professional setting. People go to the notary for important life-changing transactions, and yet I've seen more competence and professionalism in an average hair salon. Not only was our property purchase transaction hectic (being sent documents the night before, being asked for additional funds the morning of, after having already given the first check with the requested amount…), but we requested additional documents to be produced at the same time (first week of February) and here we are (July 2021) and we still don't have anything. We were offered the additional document at no cost, which we appreciated, but money was never the concern here… What ensued was a four month long back and forth, multiple emails and calls with no answer, until finally the notary herself reached out and proceeded to yell at me (no exaggeration here, actually YELL…) for 20 minutes straight… It's hard not to laugh at the situation, because in the span of 20 minutes she blamed me for everything including her stress of working until 2-3 am every night (i.e. her inability to properly manage her own business). Apparently, the fact that my calls were unanswered for 3 weeks shouldn't be a concern because, and I quote, "she could have been ill or in the hospital" (to be clear, she was not… just saying things to be dramatic). In any case, I am not sure how I ended up in the position of listening to her rant for 20 minutes, without being able to insert a complete sentence… I am not a psychologist, though I suspect she definitely needs one. More importantly…With every mistake they make, it is never their fault… On the morning of the transaction, she asks to transfer 15k ADDITIONAL for the home sale. Few hours later finds out that they miscalculated things… Who's fault? Not their obviously! It's the bank's! We could have all noticed it and fixed the situation much earlier, had the documents been ready for review at least a few days ahead. No answers to emails for 3 months? Not their fault! They suddenly started going to the spam box (though interestingly this phenomenon didn't happen earlier January/February…). No answers to calls for over 3 weeks? Not their fault, because you see, they receive, and I quote, "over 400 calls per day and have reduced capacity because of COVID", in JULY 2021… because answering the phone is definitely a task hindered by COVID you see… Nice try. June 10th: They confirm by email that they have posted me a cheque. July 5th: still nothing, ask them about it… they say they never confirmed anything, when I clearly have proof (lol). Just incredible, you can't make this stuff up. Save yourself a headache, and think twice… if you see a lot of 5* reviews, from people who have never reviewed anything else, ask yourself… are these the brokers working with her and sending her business? Are these friends leaving reviews because they were asked to? I never thought in a million years I would leave such a review for anyone, and never have before, but this place definitely takes the crown, bravo.

Pour cacher son incompétence elle m'a traité avec arrogance en plus elle ne retourne jamais ses appels ni elle, ni sa secrétaire aussi elles retournent rarement leurs courriels. Aucune professionnalisme senti dans dans ce bureau qu'il faut éviter absolument. Je suis obligé maintenant de préparer ma plainte pour son ordre des notaires pour que d'autre personne ne subisse pas les tords que j'ai subi.

I came 45min drive on Friday to pick up my friend's documents and the reason I put this review was because I was disappointed about the disrespectful treatment I received initially when I arrived to your office around 16:25, I understood and respected that you had an appointment with another clients but you could've asked me politely and respectfully to wait until you finish rather than walking away and asking me disrespectfully to leave and come back next week. When I first talked to you in your office, you walked away and didn't listen to me asked me to leave and come back Monday while I was trying to explain politely that my friend made email and phone communications with you and your office in this regards and he was told that I can come to pick up his documents from Monday to Friday 9-5 but it was NEVER mentioned to him that I have to make an appointment just to pick up his document. There should be clear communication from your office that I should've taken an appointment and I would've respected that for sure. I waited about 45min until you finished the appointment so I can talk to you again and explain the situation and after all that you apologized and gave me my friend's documents. And yes, I mentioned at the end there might be some sort of misunderstanding but this doesn't justify the disrespectful treatment I received upon my arrival to the office.

I had never been asked to give the deed of sale to the buyer when I sold my property, and also I had never received the deed of sale from the seller when I bought the property. When I asked her : can you deposit my money in my account instead of letting me come to your office to pick up the check ,she said no. Then I asked when can I receive my check ? she said she can tell me nothing, I said other notaries normally give me the check around 3 days, can you give me the estimate date? She said she can tell me nothing , when the check is ready she will call me. She had never called me. I haven’t received any phone call on the 10th days even I asked by email. Then sent her another email and told her, she shouldn’t do the transaction if she can’t give me and my bank the check on time, the she replied me to pick up the check on the 11th days, When she sent me email she always has different address( I saw at least 3 different address) I even went to a wrong office on my first visit . when I find the office I don’t know how to reach her office because she had never gave me her phone number and office entrance code. When she asked me to sent her the documents, I asked : May I can give the documents to your assistant if you’re busy when I arrive? she said no, then I wait for her 1.5 hrs in her office in order to give the documents to her hands Rude, non-respect, non-professional, only care about her apparence instead of the client’s need.

This experience seems isolated from the other comments here, only we believe it is important to mention our experience all the same as a sign of transparency towards the next customers, hoping that it is different for them. On nous a demandé si on avait payé les frais d’assurances titres d’une valeur d’environ 400$ quelques jours après notre rendez-vous d’acte de vente d’une propriété alors que le tout avait déjà passé dans notre compte pour ensuite recevoir un autre courriel. Celui-ci nous demandant une somme d’environ 8 000$ à payer par nous (les acheteurs) pour les frais de courtage, plus d’un mois après la prise de possession de notre maison, alors que ces frais étaient encourus dans le prix de la vente. On nous appelle pour nous informer de ces frais, on s’explique de notre côté en disant que c’est convenu dans le prix de la vente pour nous faire dire que non, que nous devons payer ces frais. Nous décidons d’immédiatement contacter notre agent immobilier nous expliquant de son côté que c’est une erreur de la part du bureau de notaire pour finalement avoir un retour du bureau de notaire expliquant les circonstances exceptionnelles en temps de pandémie COVID, 2 assistantes dans notre dossier on dû quitter le travail et donc le tout devant être repris par une nouvelle équipe. Nous pouvons nous imaginer ces circonstances, étant nous mêmes des travailleurs de la santé de première ligne. Cependant, ceci n’empêche que depuis le début de notre expérience, avant même la pandémie, l’ensemble des suivis et du service à la clientèle était négligé plus d’une fois. Notre rencontre en personne avec Diana Duminica était satisfaisante en ce qui concerne sa ponctualité et ses explications données sur le processus de vente. Ces deux rencontres sont qu’une minime partie de notre expérience du début jusqu’à la fin expliquant ainsi notre cote. Cette expérience semble isolée des autres commentaires ici, seulement nous croyons important de mentionner tout de même notre expérience comme signe de transparence envers les prochains clients, espérant que ce soit différent pour eux.

I didn’t pick this notary, it was pre selected for me for selling my condo. I haven’t dealt with many lawyers in my life, maybe 4, but this was the worst. I would send my documents, they wouldn’t check the email and then send me another email or voicemail asking me for the documents again. They called me the night before the zoom meeting and asked for the same documents, so I stayed on the phone with her, emailed them, she confirmed they received them. The next day in the meeting she scolded me for not sending the documents. Once the selling was done, they held 2000$ for waiting for the certificate of location. This is a normal thing. However 2 or 3 months ago she sent me documents to sign for receiving the funds so I signed it. I waited a week I didn’t recieve it so I asked about it and was told in a rude tone that I have to wait for the documents. Now they have not answered my emails for the last 2 months. I would stay far away from this firm. Absolutely unprofessional and a nightmare to deal with. I’m still bitter at the fact I had to pay for this service. Maybe this review will encourage them to respond to emails since I am paying and am their customer. Disgusting

Very disorganized, poor communication and disrespectful. I have been contacting her office to organize a visit to receive some documents and despite multiple calls, talking to her secretary and emailing the notary herself about coming in a particular date, upon arrival she was completely disrespectful, asked my friend to leave now and make an appointment (was never clarified in 3 phone calls with the secretaries nor her reply email that we should specify a time) even though he came from a 45 minute drive. Had to wait for almost an hour for her to agree to talk to him & even with that she did not recall receiving the email that I sent her 2 days prior to the visit. The whole process of handing over the document took 2 minutes afterall but she only did that after after an hour wait. **In response to your reply below: First of all, he came 4:25pm not 5pm (just for the sake of honestly) and If you are expecting someone to take an exact appointment time then you should mention that in your reply email that you only said (ok no problem to come) + your secretary should not say sure you can come, we’re open 9am-5pm without specifying that we should take a particular time especially that I called 2 days prior to that to confirm when to come and the issue was just picking up a document. Also, I am not expecting you to leave your client but being rude and disrespectful and turning your back when someone is talking to you is beyond disrespect and telling him to leave and come back another day even though I clearly emailed you that he’s coming this particular day & clarified with your secretaries. All that states that you (DO NOT respect your client, or maybe until you get your fees paid). In addition to the fact that you always ignore your emails & not answer them unless we call your office and get the secretary to pass the message is another irritating fact which shows clear disorganiztation. I did not pick her. This notary is specialized at ripping off sellers, she put non-explainable charges to sellers and take advantage of their "terms" to force you sign. I've filed complaint and will go to court if necessary. On top of that, she is not capable of managing her employees and her firm, it's a total mess. She spent 1 hour on the transaction day to find my documents, she does not provide breakdowns before notary day, she does not sign my cheque for more than a week after registration. Not too many good notaries there, but this one is the worst of the worst!

We cannot be more grateful for having Diana as our notary. We had a terrible experience with the sellers of our home starting from the first offer to the signing with Diana. Diana also experienced very quickly how difficult our sellers were when they almost messed up the sale because they were missing multiple documents that Diana requested by email. The seller had all the documents at home but instead of bringing them, they prefered to argue why the documents were required and argue with Diana which are the proper documents to bring. When Diana asked us to bring documents we brought everything no questions asked simply because that’s what normal people do to avoid any headaches. The seller raised their voice and made a scene during the signing and made demands for Diana to add to the contract by hand. Diana stayed very proffesional diffused the situation and made accomodations to finish the sale so we could get the keys to our property. The seller obviously gave Diana poor Google review (Liping) but they did not mention all of their mistakes, lies and stubbornness from their end. Its easy to play the victim when no one knows the full story so dont believe all the poor reviews Diana has. I will always recommend Diana to anyone looking for a notary because you need someone like her to make sure everything gets done. If the sellers are being difficult she will handle them like she did for us and get all the documents and info you need. On a side note: Diana’s office is very beautiful and pleasant to be in. The team she has is very organized and professional.

Avoid this firm unless you don’t care about your transaction. I understand it’s rush time in real estate right now but the level of unresponsiveness and disorganization of this notary will jeopardize your deal. None of the deadlines are respected and they will communicate so poorly that important documents are left out until the last minute of signing. She was late multiple times for our meetings by 45 min+ which angered the stakeholders waiting on the other line to close. Also, once the virtual signing was done, there was no follow up email listing every detail and every amount that was owed between each party and now we are still running after the adjustments and deed of sale. Do not go with this notary unless you do not care about your transaction.
