We sold land to a couple near Eastman. The couple that bought our land used this notary. We live in Montreal so I asked their notary, Christina Gagnon, if we could just sign online (we've done this before when purchasing land pretty easily). She said we could for a fee of $300. We decided to make the 1.5 hour drive out to their office in order to sign the paperwork and save $300. It turns out that the people that bought our land weren't even there and they were able to sign the documents via videoconference for no charge. I'm not sure how legit this is but I'll be looking into filing a formal complaint with whomever monitors notaries and this type of behavior.
