Adeline Grigorescu Abuseuse Psychologique

I would like to study at this university Because I have the ability to develop this university

Ali Hadi

4.5 stars. I chose this place because the website is very comprehensive and it's easier to navigate than McGill's or Concordia's. That was very useful in choosing my curriculum. The application process was very smooth, only a few question marks. This being said as any application process you need to provide this and that, so be ready and start early. In terms of the main campus the buildings are a bit old (some are being renovated) and it's less pretty than McGill. However the hillside and the view are very nice.

I haven't taken any classes here. However I go there to study in the little forested area it has. Sweet hill for a mountain bike ride too but kinda too breif.

Admission office. They are asking so many documents for nothing. They refused my admission because they asked me each document pdfs everyday, that document is not relevant for admission. and limitless document requests everyday made my application refused not meeting deadline, and finally I was admitted 3 months ago. and now they ask me to send my original documents due to 'Control of Documents' or something just 1 month before term starts. Why did they ask my documents in pdf from the start? Why didn't they ask the original in the beginning? Now I'm afraid because they can revoke my admission as they said.. and I have nowhere to complain.

Very high education standards, with a dissemination and creation of knowledge that is amongst the most recognized nationwide. It still remains tiring when you get to walk all the way up the hill, but there are many alternative ways to get there !

Max Oliver

Love the ambience. The campus is definitely more civilized and cleaner than polytechnique!

Coralie Rolland

You pay to learn by yourself. Zero help from professors and administration. You read like 500-1000 pages a week and you have to choose by yourself what is important. In addition, a lot of team work, and you never can choose your team. The most of the evaluations are writing works ( most of them is a research of scientific sources). Most of your learning time will not be spent for a specific material, but for the reading of explanations and trying to understand how to do the works. In case if you need some accommodations, the answer is always no. Zero flexibility. You feel yourself as a number. In one word, their programs are not done for human, but for a machine who doesn't need to think about it's mental health and about having a life. In addition, it's boring as hell. The most stressful experience ever :(

My experience with this University is that at an administrative level they are very disorganized and care little for welfare of students or workers.

So great it makes me want to sign up for classes just to be there. Love it ahhhhh. Beautiful campus too

Andrei Bursuc

Dissapointed by the teachers I've had so far. They prône andragogie which means letting students learn by themselve's. It's a easy way for thems to excuse themselves to be lazy. Not all of thems have this approach but I felt betrayed that there is no way for students to express there dissatisfaction anymore. We live in a world were information is easily accessible. Student's brains are bombarded everyday by stimuli. We are more then ever in need of mentors to help us organize the information. Thats why we pay to go to school. I can do andragogie at home by myself. I just hope this review will have a impact and wake up the administration that student need and require guides. Guides to help thems find there path in a work field. Thank you.

I just finished my bachelor's in biology and I really had a great time at school. I didn't participate in the extracurricular life but I could see there was always something interesting going on. The classes are good and so are the teachers. Alot of options for courses to take.

University of Montreal located in Quebec, Canada is a French-language public research university serving the aspirants since 1878. The university has affiliations with HEC Montreal and Polytechnique Montreal. Home to 67,559 students from diverse regions, the university is known to be 3rd most international university in Canada. Around 73% of the total students are enrolled in undergraduate programs at UdeM while 27% in graduate programs which is also the highest proportion of graduate enrollments in Canada. Admission to these courses at the university is invited for fall and winter semesters. Though the university focuses on offering admission to academically elite applicants, scores are not the only criteria for making decisions. International applicants applying to University of Montreal are also scrutinized on the basis of various other factors like LORs, personal statements, and language proficiency. Apart from needing ELP scores, international students will need at least B2 level in their French proficiency exams as most of the courses are offered in the French Language.

Unfortunately, the University of Montreal is one of the worst universities to respond to students emails. Some professors practically refuse to respond to students and in some cases deliberately delay graduation to get more tuition fee, and …

Anywhere in the city where you can find bunnies running around freely is pretty darn great. Beautiful views no matter where you look

Horrible Administration and not supportive towards international students. Biggest issue in my opinion is their health insurance. McGill insurance covers international graduate students, their spouse and children completely. UdeM insurance only covers the graduate student. So an additional private cover is needed to cover one s family (even pregnancy), leading to much higher insurance costs. Considering the fact that graduate students have already restricted or even no income, it makes it very difficult to have a family life. THIS DOESN T APPLY TO ALL FRENCH STUDENT AS THEY ARE COVERED BY THE RAMQ! So basically they don t care at all about the other nationalities since the french students make up for the highest part of international students. They should look at McGills international student policies and learn from them. I am ashamed to be part of this university. Absolutely unacceptable and strong discrimination!
