Bought a new home with them as our home lawyers and the house had so many problems. The first week we moved in something was leaking and the furnace was broken. Also upon purchasing the home we were promised that one of the windows would be fixed - that was our only condition. We move in and it’s not fixed, we were talking through emails in which got basically got no where, I was forwarded messages that my lawyer had with the lawyer of the home owner they said that the window would be fixed eventually when “parts came in”. eventually we just quit the emailing as we weren’t getting anymore. Bad experience here.

Elaine is a terrible lawyer, we had issues while purchasing our house and spent months trying to get her to write a single letter, every time we contacted her she delayed what we needed done and gave excuses for not being able to complete the letter when requested. If she is ever recommended to you I recommend running and paying a lawyer that will do what you pay them for.

Very poor ethics and morals coming from Elaine. Tried very hard to keep my deposit after a real estate transaction went bad. I ended up winning and getting my funds back but this just goes to show how she has a lack of morals and values. Stay far away.

Rarely do I post a bad review, however never hire Elaine for purchasing your home. Over a year later and still multiple issues outstanding from the purchase. She was contacted same day as possension (June 2020) and all issues are still unresolved (October 2021) after MANY attempts to get closure. I reached out countless times with no response, even offering to lower the costs for the other party just to get the case closed and move on. Now she says I will have to pay more or go to small claims court. She also lost all of my correspondence from the year asking me to resend everything when I asked for a follow up as to where things were at (emails, descriptions, photos, receipts) These are not major issues and something easily negotiated over email/phone if she took the time. Very disappointed especially after being a first time home buyer and assured if there were any issues that Elaine would take care of it for me. Clearly not!!
