Tarja is our notary for a simple construction mortgage and the experience has been very unprofessional. We are having to constantly follow up for the advances and they don't make any effort to help us with timing the payments from our banker to our builder (thus we are often late on payments). Being a small practice we thought the cost would be more reasonable but there is little to no difference in cost savings.

Tarja has been my Notary for many years. There is no need to go to any other Notary, Justice of the Peace, or a Lawyers. Her prices are up to date and fair. The location is very convenient and so is the parking. I have used her from everything from Real-Estate Transfers to simple 1 page Notarization's for Automobiles/Boats. I have also had other Legal advisers recommend her. Not understanding the other Negative comments, always positive over the years. Thanks Tarja

We have used Tarja's services on three occasions now, two of which have been for the conveyancing of our home. I would certainly recommend her. The services we have received have been excellent. There were no issues arising whatsoever. The service is efficient, prompt and of good value. We will certainly use her services again!

Tarja was unable to close our mortgage refinance on-time which resulted in additional costs incurred. She then deflected responsibility and blamed the bank saying they were busy because it was "end of month". Her fees were higher than expected ($1690.75) which included $537 in disbursements. When i asked her for details on the disbursements fees, she got defensive and said "couriers and title searches". The title searches were billed elsewhere, and she has previously told us everything was submitted online. Dissatisfied with all aspects of the process.

We used Tarja for our most recent real estate transaction. When she went through the disclosures and disbursements with us her fees were covered off and we signed. When got the final paperwork her fees changed by 150 under the disbursements line however taxes had not adjusted and no additional disbursements made. Her total fee went up $150 without explanation. Payouts of the final amounts were not certified so banks then hold all funds delaying payments even further. She caused escalations with our new mortgage company that our broker had to resolve. I would not recommend her nor will we ever give her our business in the future

I have to say extremely poor customer service was supposed to do a deal with her and she was not willing to be flexible wasnt willing to move an appointment to 5pm from 4pm ,any day. What a joke. How you think thats ok stay away!!! Going to someone else that actually cares her previous poor reviews all make sense

To start, she was 10 minutes late, telling me she doesn't respect my time, then when I went to pay I was informed that it was cash cheque or e-transfer. What a waste of my time having to leave and come back to pay. I have no issue with it being a cash business, but inform your clients when they book the appointment so they can be prepared. I will never use this service again.

Just called her to ask the price for being a Notary, (witness to signing a document) and was quoted $75-$100. My two star opinion says that this is way too much cash for such a simple task.

Tarja quite possibly cost us tens of thousands of dollars by delaying our Real Estate property title transfer. We began the process with her in June and she didn't complete transfer until the beginning of September. This left us unable to sell the house over the summertime when the market was the most active. It is located in a seniors community and as such, many of the potential buyers are preparing to travel south for the winter in September instead of looking at buying a new home. We were also unable to sell to some interested parties who were looking to purchase in the complex immediately. We are not happy with the service provided, especially considering she charged us over $1000 for this title transfer!

I have used Tarja’s services several times for Real Estate transactions as well as other legal matters. Generally, I received satisfactory services, considering she is a notary rather than a lawyer. On this occasion, I made several calls to check charges for a simple, straightforward conveyancing. Her quote was $300 less than others, so I returned to her. I made an appointment well in advance and was given no instructions regarding any documents that I needed to bring. Upon arrival, I was told that I needed two documents, both that I had already packed in preparation for my move! This led to a rush to locate them and get the information back to her on the same day. I suggested that it would be helpful to be given such information on the phone, but she gave no response. I also asked why she had deducted an additional $135 in fees, and her response was noncommittal. She held back $500 for payment of utilities, even though I assured her that my account was up to date and the payout would be less than $100. Two weeks later, having heard nothing, I called the Utilities office and was informed that an email had gone out to her with that same information. I then emailed her, politely asking again why she had charged higher than her quote and why I hadn’t received the balance of the holdback, expecting that it would be e-transferred, as were the other funds. She did not reply. A week went by, and I emailed again, less politely, asking where my money was. No reply. Several days later, I phoned her office and asked her (very pleasant) receptionist to find out where my money was. She returned my call within a short time, stating that she had my cheque and would mail it along with a letter that same day. The cheque and letter have now arrived. My concerns were not addressed. I will not utilize Tarja’s services again, nor will I ever recommend her. I expect to be treated with courtesy, and to have my questions answered in a professional manner. I do not expect my money to be treated as if it was hers to do with as she chooses.
