When I found Cando Immigration Services, It was my last resource. Cando was recommended to me by a friend who told me that at Cando I was going to be able to do my permanent residency and they were right. Even though they are located in Kelowna, BC and I live in Surrey BC, I was able to email my case to the lawyers and right away they got back to me. Before I found Cando, I had been to other immigration lawyers that said that there was nothing left for me to do and that I had to go back to my country. They were also asking for huge amounts of money to work on my case and they didn’t have any guarantees. When I went to Cando, right away they were extremely proactive and money was not brought up as an issue. They took genuine care of my case and treated my family and I with kindness. They never took advantage of us in monetary terms. The costs were reasonable and they helped us with every single little detail. We always felt like we were in good hands! Based on my personal experience ,I had marital issues which makes it difficult for me and my kids to get PR approved, to the point that the CIC already sent me a letter stating that I do not meet the requirements for permanent residency. But cando immigration was able to respond to them which gives a favourable response and got my PR approved.Iam now enjoying my kids here.. Very professional nice office and quick to offer help, however, I found that there prices were insanely high for what would have been a simple case. I offered to do majority of the work having a lot of visa experience but they said it would make no difference and would still cost 4k max. After consultation he sent an email quoting 5k instead of the 4k mentioned. This made me cautious. After shopping around I found another lawyer who said I could do what I can and they'd charge me for what I was unable to do and do a final check and submit it. I ended up paying a total of 1700 to them and we got our visa. I also found out our friends who went with them and were told 8k max ended up with a bill over 16k and still very little progress.

I had one meeting with Jamie and he seemed very knowledgeable but they canceled on my follow up AFTER the appointment was supposed to start and did not answer any of my questions… they were supposed to reschedule and never got back to me. Super inconsiderate and super overpriced. Update: They called me after this review which was months after my initial meeting. they still haven't answered my email which i sent after they canceled on me saying I have no time and clearly upset that they canceled at the time of the meeting.. they said they were working on things for me and they want to schedule another meeting but really offered no new information as to what they've been working on. I don't think there was any misunderstanding but only lack of communication. I never do this kind of reviews but this was really upsetting.

This place is amazing, Jamie Dowla and his team were very helpful in all the proceedings to a permanent residence (PR)despite my not so good and stressful beginnings . Before i met with Condo immigration services and Jamie, i was with another legal group up in Ontario who were helping with the application process. As you know or may not know, there are different streams you can use to apply for PR and so when with the first legal team, we went first, with graduate entry and all documents were filled out and signed. A month later after the lawyer reviewed the applications and checked if i was eligible, the lawyer got back to me saying I wasn’t eligible for the stream even though i had just graduated from university. I then asked what other stream we can use, and he recommended we go under semi-skilled since i was working already. Great! i asked my Boss if he could help through his company and that was no problem. The lawyer sent him and i new documents which we filled out and had them sent back to the lawyer. A few weeks later, i heard back from lawyer saying the position i held at the time and the wages i was getting weren’t enough to qualify me for the new stream unless i held a higer position and getting wages above a certain figure that he provided would qualify me. So i spoke with my boss and told him all the lawyer had said. My boss being such a nice person did what he could and got me where i needed to be to qualify. Anyway, the long and the short of it is after getting where I qualified for the semi-skilled stream, we still weren’t able to submit my application because the legal team insisted i wasn’t eligible enough for the stream and there was lots of back and forth communication In which we had to fill out lots of forms to the point where i boss out of frustration, finally referred me to Jamie Dowla to whom i spoke with, explaining my situation. After my conversation with Jamie who agreed to be my representative, looked over my case and got the application going under the international Graduate stream. They did all the necessary paper work required unlike the previous lawyers and all i had to do was go in and sign. A few weeks aftr my meeting with Jamie, the application papers were submitted to the government and things started moving forward and now I’m proud to say with Jamie and his team’s efforts and hard work, im a permanent resident ???? My boss recommending Jamie to me was the best move forward and i would recommend Cando Immigration services to anyone needing assistance with the application processes. Before I passed my case to Cando, my case was processed by another immigration lawyer; however, the lawyer told me that I did not get enough scores for getting an invitation through Express Entry. Last year my wife, Hannah, had to go through the immigration process after our wedding. We found Jamie and the team at CanDO to be very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. On more than one occasion Jamie gave us good advice, extra documentation for travels, and calmed our nerves when we weren't sure if we had all the papers/following all the rules, etc etc. Yes, you have to pay for their services.
