We have the reviews of real people like you who know the products of Aubin and Associates (Notary Public) in Kelowna area (Canada).
Now this business has a score of 2.3 stars over 5 and the rating was based on 23 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is scarce, and it's founded on a very large number of reviews, so we can be quite sure that the score is quite credible. If people have bothered to rate when they are pleased, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to put feddbacks when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Notary Public corresponds to the category of Notary public.
Dealing with this office was the most unprofessional, unkind, awful event I have experienced in my lifetime. If you’re reading this post and have already had a bad experience with this office may I recommend filing a complaint with the Notary Public Society. There is no way Aubin and his team should be in practise.
Knowledgable good service
The negative reviews here are puzzling - Nick and admin staff were incredibly friendly and effective. He showed to be a more knowledgeable notary than the other 4 I called in Kelowna. Thank you!
Such a HORRIBLE service. Nicholas is a bully, ignorant, doesn’t care about anyone’s concerns. Threatens you, dares to insult you in front of other customers and his own staff. While you get insulted, his staff laughs on you. Nicholas foolishly thinks that he is the best lawyer. He quoted me one price and then bumped it up on the documents to be signed. When pointed out he stared at me like a mad dog. Serious advice to everyone in Kelowna: AVOID this business. This business should be closed. Nichols and his staff don’t help you. Don’t go by his low quote.
The most professional and reliable notary office in Kelowna. Laurie at the front desk is extremely friendly and helpful.
Appointment on time, no other waste of time or document waste but 1 page Notary Charged for $50 with tax $56. This is insane. Mostly notarization of 1 document charged $20 to $25 only.
I recently went into this office looking for help with notarizing some banking documents. When I asked for an appointment as soon as possible the woman at the front desk laughed at me and said "it definitely won't be in the next week or two". Not only was she dismissive and disrespectful she didn't even ask what I needed notarized. I then phoned Dhillon Notary Public and i now have a Appointment on monday. Do not use this service if you value being treated with respect
Poor cuatomwr service. Called to make an appointment got brushed off by receptionist and sent to voice mail. Left a message. One week later still no call back.
An absolute nightmare. I never write reviews but this had me so upset I wanted people to be aware of what they could walk into. We used Nicolas Aubin when someone recommended him for our real estate transactions. They made countless mistakes, both the front desk girls and Nicolas himself, and he acted as though the mistakes were no big deal (I had to go back there TWICE across town just for their bigger mistakes) I even noticed some careless mistakes he was making and corrected him in the process luckily, and this is far from my line of work. Nicolas was beyond arrogant, he was so rude to myself, my family and even to my realtor, she was appalled by his lack of professionalism. Another one of his mistakes was that he wrote the amount on the bill incorrectly and so I apparently owed him more fees than I had paid, which I hadn’t noticed as it was still way overpriced compared to anyone else. So less than 2 hours to closing on a Friday afternoon while I was way on the other side of town, he called and threatened that if I didn’t come pay the rest of his fees immediately (to which he admitted being 100% at fault with making this mistake) then he wouldn’t put the deal through and I would risk losing the house. Ive never been so insulted (the implication that I would rip him off...how ironic) or just outright bullied as an adult like this, the whole process with him from start to finish was truly an awful experience. I dreaded every single interaction with him, I was so glad to leave there for the last time (after having to go back to re-sign something else they screwed up on...)
Having dealt with Nick at Aubin & Associates for various reasons, I must say that the service has always been impressive and prompt. Would recommend a good notary in Kelowna.
We hired Aubin and Associates to handle our refinance. Initially they were scattered and unorganized. They forgot about out signing meeting and when we finally had our last minute signing they had the wrong paperwork. Then things got even worse. My bank transferred the founds to Aubin and Associates but Nick never deposited the founds into my account. Now a few weeks of missing close to a quarter million dollars and Nick is completely unreachable.
job got done. price was fair, just ask for a discount if you feel its high, they will work with you. cheers
I have been dealing with Nick for years and he has always been knowledgeable and very respectful. I have used him for two Real Estate transactions now and will continue to return to him whenever I have need for a Notary.
Used Nicholas based on a recommendation from our realtor when selling our home. While signing the papers, I said that the numbers seem off and we were getting more than expected from the sale. Nick said it was fine. A day after the funds were transferred to my account and I had dispersed them to other accounts they called to say they had made a mistake and forgot to pay my realtor (hence the difference I was questioning). They reversed the deposit and sent the corrected amount through even though the funds had been used to pay off a loan, (not sure how the bank allowed this to happen without my approval?). Didn't even get an apology for the mistake.
Absolutely HORRIBLE. My husband and I left paper work for the purchase of our first home with Nick on the 9th of June. We called on the 20th of June to find out when we should be coming in to sign our papers for ownership. We were then told that they would not be able to handle our papers as they were "too busy" to complete it by the end of the month. We are supposed to close on our sale for July 1st. At no point were we contacted by Nick to let us know to contact a different Notary to complete our paper work. Now we are left with 10 days to find someone to complete the paperwork on our home purchase by the end of the month. As far as I am concerned, they had our information for 11 days and chose to ignore it and completely screw us over. This is without a doubt the WORST customer service I have ever received. No communication and a complete lack of respect for their customers. My husband and I will never do any business with Nick Aubin and Associates again and will not recommend his services to anyone looking for a notary. Absolutely devastated over this whole experience as buying your first home should be exciting.
I would give a ZERO if I could. I am a Strata Council Member trying to give requested documents to one of their staff. I spoke to her and gave her my telephone number and sent requested documents via email. I specifically told this person to deal ONLY with me. Instead I keep getting messages left on other council members voice mail chasing us for these documents. When I try to call her back I get transferred to her voice mail ... the message I keep getting is that this persons voice mail box is not initialized. When I phone their reception and try to explain I cannot use her voice mail they say "Just a minute ... let me put you through to her voice mail.". I say please don't transfer to me to her voice mail because it's not initialized. Then they say, you can tell her yourself - "Let me put you through to her voice mail." ????????? What the hell, I just asked you NOT to transfer me to voice mail. Apparently everyone at this place is completely incompetent. I would never deal with this company and would advise everyone else to steer clear as well.
We needed to do a name change on my boyfriends mobile home because he is disabled and will receive a huge reduction in property taxes. He wanted 600.00 to change the name on his property! I said What?? He is on disability and can't afford that!! He said well that's what I costs! I said oh wow!! Oh and he then told me to go buy some paper work for the transfer from Wal-Mart for $25.00 and fill that out and bring it in and that will get them started...I said again he is disabled where is he to get all this money from he only makes just over 1000.00 per month!!?? He did not care... So, I ended up using Dye & Dunham out of Prince George (I mailed it) they did all the work and it cost $226.06 and we didn't need the Wal-Mart paper work either!! This guy is out to rip u off!! Charging 3 times as much as he should!! So unethical and very diapointing! Will never ever be using this place in the future. Check your pricing people! What a joke!!
I used Nicholas to file a Builders Lien.. Then later a CPL.. I found out later that the Lien was filed incorrectly and the CPL was not registered at all. When I approached him about it he felt no remorse. I would not recommend him to walk a dog. Such compitence
Absolutely terrible service. Your secretary needs firing, she is shockingly bad at customer service, her conversation is not friendly at all, and she quite frankly doesn't seem to care at all. I took in two documents on a Saturday to be notarized, not even verified, simply certified. You promised me it would be completed by Tuesday and I was charged for the service. I then waited for two weeks while you "waited for Nick" to be available to sign them. After calling multiple times and questioning and putting you under pressure I still received no call about when my documents would finally be complete. Finally I called and said I would show to reclaim my documents and get a refund for your failure of service, your terrible secretary then ironically said she would check if my documents were done and return my call. I received no call, showed up , and they were suddenly done. Three full weeks late. Fire your secretary, she is the face of your company to the public. Good day.
Awful experience, awful service, awful communication, house sale went through but would strongly recommend using another company
