GREAT customer service, I have done my taxes with this company for years and so has my entire family- I live in Vancouver and i needed to sign documents and the front desk ladies were accommodating to my needs and were super friendly. Wouldn't go any where else! VERY FAST AND RELIABLE!!

Reliable Tax Services has an unreliable website page. It lists opening hours on Saturday, which is not true, this office is closedd Saturdays and Sundays. I wasted time when I travelled all the way from Sooke on a Saturday for a notary document. The business was recommended by a friend. Please update your info and be respectful of potential client's time.

DON'T do anything with these people...They did wrong every single thing that could be done wrong. They advised us to get our refund by check instead of direct deposit (we were only 1 year in Canada) because they said we could always change to direct deposit in case we left Canada before we got the check or even have it sent to Spain. Well, none of that was possible and we had to pay 100$ to Post Canada to change the address so someone else could deposit the check for us. They even "suggested" us to pay that person for the service. We had to do this, because they told us we would get the check in 3 to 4 weeks, but it ended up being 4 months because it was our first year in Canada. We did tell them our situation and they just insist we would get the check in about 3 weeks. Well, our taxes were processed even later because they had problems with their system and had to send our tax documents by mail instead of email to CRA. And finally, they told us we would get a specific amount of money and ended up being not even half of it. Really bad service

We had a great experience. Our taxes are tricky as we had sold a house in 2016 and have two businesses but Mel made short work of it. It was a pleasure to watch him figuring everything out right in front of us...we felt he hadn't missed anything. No frills - just the way we like it. Got our money's worth for sure. I'm with reliable taxes for than 3 years now. I went there 1st time when I was an international student. They gave me student discount & didn't charge me any unnecessary charges. From my experience If you go to H&R block you will get charged like more than double the amount you pay at reliable taxes. At reliable taxes you can get excellent service at right price.

Never trust a company that has reliable in the name. It is April 9th and I am at their office trying to get my T4 from them as my employer used them for his accounting. It has not been registered with CRA yet and was never mailed out. The have checked a few drawers, couldn't find it and have now asked me to take a seat. It took weeks of my employer hounding them for me to even get this far. Should have been filed with CRA months ago.

Made an appointment for my partner and me to do our taxes together. We showed up 20 minutes early, and he had us in within 5 minutes. We quickly were sat down with Mel, and he proceeded to process our paper work. He had us out the door with smiles on our faces and our taxes done...5 MINS BEFORE OUR APPOINTMENT WAS EVEN SCHEDULED TO START! We will be returning annually. H&R block, never again.

I can't fathom how much they could have messed up a single year of tax return. First, I was supposed to receive fair amount of money back due to my tuition credits. Mel didn't file the initial tax properly, I received no refund. Then, they sent an adjustment request and on the request indicated that they have L2 access, which they didn't. By the time CRA looked at this adjustment request, it had been more than 3 months and their reply was that I have to submit a letter of authorization and all the documents again. Re-doing everything again and getting reply back from CRA took 3 more month, I received a letter stating I have no refund back and I am supposed to pay some GST, BCCTA because I didn't meet residency requirement. I was confused, called CRA and they told me that Reliable tax indicated that I have emigrated from Canada in August, 2017. I have been working full time in BC since 2016, so I couldn't wrap my head around how they fabricated such a non-sense information in my tax. What a garbage experience to go through, as of now my 2017 return still not fixed, I have not received the my refund, wasted countless hours on the phone with CRA and still waiting for my tax to be re-assessed.

Affordable and quick service, Mel is amazing. The other staff(cannot remember his name) made some mistakes on our files, but Mel caught the mistake before submission and we were notified by the email about correction. Receptionist not very friendly..she gets her jobs done but is not stella at customer service I find. Minus stars for that.

The owner Mel was excellent and well informed....BUT his support staff at the front desk etc. were very rude and abrupt. A definite detriment to bringing your accounting needs to this office. Mel should be looking into hiring some friendly welcoming staff instead.
