As Executor of a will, I used Farley Martin to register a Fee Simple Form A land transfer from deceased estate to surviving children. A relatively simple transaction done in a timely, professional way for a reasonable price. Several hundred dollars less then other notaries.

Promised a time sensitive service to be completed by the end of a Friday. The service was never delivered and they didn't reply to messages until Monday afternoon. No apology was given and when asked for a refund the receptionist was rude and unprofessional. They only accept cash as payment however refunds are only given as cheques. Go elsewhere.

I have done business in the past with them, I just sold a property a few days ago and found out that they did an incorrect adjustment on the lease, when I asked what was going on and how they can fix this? I got silly excuses in the end. I hired professionals to look after my purchases and my sale. Word of advise only hire lawyers in the future as notaries are such a grey area on what they can actually professionally do. I will be taking this firm to small claims court to get my adjustment back since they have ghosted me after several emails.

It was going great until I paid the bill and was charged $10 per document to use a staff member as a witness which amounted to $60. I even called ahead of time and no one mentioned there would be a witness charge. Unreal. I won’t go back and if I ever did I would bring someone with me. I would not recommend this place as they did not disclose this charge. Bad business sense...all about the money.

My wife and I had used them several years ago and they were great,however, this time I found that I had to follow up on everything they did or didn't do, very annoyed. I even went so far to tell them what to pay or not pay didn't matter.its been three weeks now and my realtor hasn't even been paid. Won't use them again.

Contracted this firm to conduct a simple and standard notary function. Friendly enough people but completely agree with G Dawg's review. Poor communication, wasted time, potentially disastrous financial advice given, and multiple errors and lack of attention to detail were met at every stage of the process followed by no apologies but cheerful excuses. First and last time our family will deal with this company. For a professional experience, look elsewhere even if it costs a bit more. Expect a well-written justification from the company to be attached to this negative google review.

I would strongly recommend NEVER using Farley Martin notaries. I’ve found this company’s practices completely unacceptable. In my experience, they are disorganized and unprofessional. I hired them for a conveyance about two months before the closing date for the sale of my property. The same day I hired them, I found out the buyer for my property had listed them as her notary also (which isn’t normally allowed). I phoned Farley Martin back that same day to cancel so I could hire a different notary. The person I spoke to asked for the buyers name, the address of the sale etc. She then told me not to cancel my booking with them, they didn’t have a file for this other person, I was the only one who had phoned and booked them and the buyer would have to go elsewhere because I had booked first. I said okay and left it at that. Fast forward to two weeks before the closing and they call me and tell me they are cancelling my booking with them because the buyer has some sort of prior relationship with Kristy (a notary public there). They said I had no choice and were sending my file to some other company I’ve never heard of. It’s now less that two week before the closing and I haven’t had so much as an email or phone call from this other notary. Essentially, even though I booked them almost two months beforehand and they didn’t let me cancel my appointment when I alerted them to the problem, they cancelled my booking anyways. They apparently rank their clients from most important to least, and you can get bumped out if someone more important than you books in afterwards. If you value your time, and don’t enjoy being stressed right before major financial transactions, do not hire these people. I wish I had read more reviews and asked around before I did business with them. Hopefully this helps others not make the mistake I did.

We went to Farley Martin twice : to get our power of attorney done and some real estate paperwork . We dealt with Kristy Martin and she was great. Both her staff and herself were polite, informative and very professional. They kept us updated with progress of our paperwork and everything moved quickly and smoothly . Also, price was right. Well, our transaction did get done, but I am not sure it would have if we had simply left it in their hands. There seemed to be some intermediate tasks that weren't properly handled by the support staff, and a woman named Janette seemed untrained but pushy to the point of being rude. We found that we had to check in and follow up on their work because things were a little disorganized and communication was lacking. If it wasn't for Kristy we probably would have walked. In the end it worked out but it seemed to be a bit more trouble that it was worth for a simple transaction.
