I had to wait 5 months to get finger printed for my C&C. That being said, once I showed up, process was quick, staff were friendly and helpful, and the whole thing was painless. Just wish there was a faster turnaround.

There is no reason the certificate section should be so rude. I filled out a birth certificate online for the website for the county, I gave the employee the confirmation number to the employee and was told it was canceled but took my money.

I tried for months to get my birth certificate from vital statistics it cost me over 100$ dollars and several months they were horrible. Finally, I went to register of deeds, they had my birth certificate in the mail the same day. Great customer service, less expensive and I could order online , no need for snail mail and money orders. Thank You register of deeds.

Nice enough people, but unhelpful when events impacting hours (i.e. the hurricane) aren't disseminated to the city in a better way than a piece of paper taped on the door.) Also, not helpful when doors to the courthouse are locked prior to the release time. Why say you're closing early at 1200 when you're actually closing prior to the time? I called 4 times as I was heading down there to let them know I was on my way. I got there with 1-2 mins to spare but doors were locked. I was trying... Frustrating they couldn't see that and help. One improve is that they should get better with technology and take credit cards over the phone. Seems like something that could easily be implemented.

I’m writing this review to give a special shout-out to Ms. Regina Frazier. When I had a question about marriage licenses, she promptly emailed me back and also left a phone number to call in case I had any questions. When I called, she not only answered my questions but gave very helpful advice about making an appointment about marriage certificates. She’s great and deserves a raise!
