I had bad experience doing business with Yasmine. There were mistakes in the final draft documents that she prepared which I asked to be corrected luckily before actual signing. I closed a lot of real estate transactions in the past and I was always provided with the invoice right after the signing. I was not provided with an invoice of the day of signing with Yasmine. Almost six month after the transaction I received an email from the office that the invoice has not been paid. I thought that the buyer paid the notary as she was his notary. I was told that the invoice had been sent with all the other documents by regular mail. When I checked the invoice I realized that there were ridiculous fees charged for various items which should have been paid by the buyer if any. When I asked her to adjust the invoice, she threatened me to charge interest and go to the Small Claims Court. The invoice is fully paid but I am currently investigating the additional fees that should not have been charged to me with the Chambre des notaires du Quebec. I have had worked many notaries and had all positive experience. I don't find Yasmine very professional ans I don't recommend working with her. There are many other great notaries in Quebec.

Je déconseille fortement de traiter avec cette notaire, selon moi le mandat d'un notaire et de vérifier qu'il n'y ai aucun problème lors d'une transaction pour qu'il n'y ai pas de conséquence négative et que tout soit conforme suite à la transaction. Dans mon cas ce n'est pas ce qui est arrivé. Très décevant zéro étoile

En réalité, le notaire est responsable d'aviser le client des points essentiels du contrat et d'appliquer les conditions qu'on lui transmet en plus de réviser toutes les conditions légales (ce qu'elle a très bien fait et pris le temps d'expliquer très clairement). Les gens qui ont mis 1 étoile ne semblaient simplement pas bien préparés et vigilants face à ce qu'ils signaient (il y a deux personnes qui signent le contrat et chacun le veut à son avantage, si vous n'êtes pas d'accord avec une clause du contrat de vente, il faut en discuter avec le vendeur et possiblement le notaire, mais ce n'est pas lui/elle qui décide). Aussi, pour répondre à un autre commentaire négatif, à moins d'avis contraire, les charges notariales sont pour l'acheteur (même si le vendeur choisi le notaire - ça devrait toutefois être l'acheteur qui le choisi) et c'est très bien indiqué dans le contrat de vente (avec un bon agent d'immeuble, vous devriez être au courant de tout). J'espère vous avoir convaincu de son excellent service et j'aimerais remercié encore une fois maître Bensalem.
