It took me 7 months to get money from closing a house, and that was after repeated phone calls and contacting the buyers lawyer to ask if they money had been given. It was only around $500 (this was years ago now) but I should not have to chase my lawyer down to give me MY money. I am beyond disappointed and devastated after receiving an email from Jennifer today 2 months after she agrees to take on my case. She states she lacks confidence as a lawyer as my case is "complex". It is not complex at all. It is a black and white classic domestic custody battle. It gets sticky .... sure. I am back to square one. I thought I was one step closer to my goals. I am so sorry to hear she is lacking in her skills. Also.... this was distasteful.... And waiting such a lengthy time to drop me and my children's case is a low blow. She didn't offer any suggestion for a new lawyer. I am not pleased with the services provided. I am very disappointed. My kids and I really needed her help!
