We had reached out to Shergill Notary to prepare a Power of Attorney for us. After reading the great reviews we though great! Appointment was booked and were informed that we would be receiving a call with Brenda(The Owner) at 4:30pm. 5pm came and still no call. My husband and I had rescheduled our entire afternoon around her call at 4:30pm as both of us needed to be there. Finally at 5pm we reached out to them to ask them what was going on with the appointment we had at 4:30pm. The receptionist told us that Brenda was too busy and forgot to call you. We understand things slip but no one even reached out to let us know she was running late of not going to call at all. We were waiting at home for her. She never even called back to apologies til the next day. When we spoke to her she blamed her employees and Covid and that she was short staffed. She absolutely too zero responsibility for dropping the ball. I would never ever consider using her services again considering she is less than 2 blocks away from us.

We used Balbir ( Brenda ) Shergill when we purchased our new home in Surrey BC in August 2018 and then again this spring (2019) when we sold our Langley townhouse. We've dealt with 2 or 3 of her staff and everyone was excellent. The communication was very good and all the legal processes were completed perfectly and on-time. Even my Realtor used her when he sold his house after witnessing the great service we received. Unlike a couple of other notaries I have dealt with that did not communicate so well and seemed to take too much time to get things done, Shergill Notary was excellent. Highly recommend them.

Unprofessional! I paid for a service back in November and when I told Brenda that their fax and copy was never received by the other party she told me that I was making things difficult for her. All I asked for was a copy of the information sent to someone and they could not find it! She also made a comment that she doesn’t believe they never got a copy. Blaming everyone else. How does a customer get blamed for their lack of organization? She also continuously talked over me and was quite rude! I wouldn’t trust this notary to do anything for you!

Although the job got done I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I chose Shergill Notary Public as it was close to home, what a mistake. Before I walked in the door I was uncomfortable, I received a phone call at work saying they were going to cancel my appointment as they did not receive the papers from my realtor, there was a problem at his office and instead of contacting them to say not everything had come through they decided to call and cancel on me! I contacted my real estate agent and he got things sorted out. I went to my appointment and sat down to see that my name, my birthday and the address of the condo I was purchasing were all incorrect. I had to go back the next day as they had missed signing a document and I needed to bring in a payment, which when I asked previously what I needed to bring I did not hear back from them...still waiting over a month later. I expressed my concerns and was told that they are just busy. I do not think it is acceptable for me, the client, the first time home buyer, to point out that I cannot pay the full property taxes as I do not take possession until AFTER taxes are due! Of course I would pay my half in closing costs but I cannot pay them before owning the property! Once I thought I had things all signed, she asked for more money, and was told that an email with details of the payment was to follow, it never did show up. They called to say I had a refund and my paper work would be put in the mail, 2 weeks later I got a call saying my package was still there and would be put in the mail, a week later it showed up, I cashed my cheque right away and I am done with them! I would love to support a small local business but my experience was not positive and I would never go back.

This is a very, very bad, I come and notarized photocopy of passport, Brenda shergill promise me four passport to come back to take. A total of $80, 1 hour I will leave, copy and the original after 1 hour I come back, she told I don't have a passport copy, I missed, when I get back, she said again demanded to pay $25, this is very, very bad behavior, she see my English is not good, humiliate Chinese! Ms Shergill twice failed to complete the work Required to complete on a purchase and a sale of mine. Ms Shergill was not hired by me but by the seller, and had my own notary not stepped and taken over the work Ms Shergill was unable or unwilling to do, things would still be left outstanding. My own notary even paid Ms Shergill’s bill at the land title office herself because all confidence had been lost that Ms Shergill would complete the work she had been paid to do. The lack of this Notary’s ethics, professionalism, or even common sense, in today’s day and age is unacceptable by any standard. I 100% recommend NOT using this company/ notary for any reason.

I don't normally write reviews however being new to the area I had specifically picked this Notary based on location and having read her reviews which were mixed but overall seemed decent. We just had a very unprofessional interaction with this office. The lady we spoke with never even introduced herself when we arrived for our scheduled appointment so I cannot even confirm that she was Brenda. We were not taken into a private meeting room but were instead helped at the small entry/reception space at the same time as another client. When I advised that this is why I was uncomfortable (and that she was talking loudly in regards to our POA signing ie NOT private) she said I had attitude and that she would never work with clients like myself. So we left. Having worked in client services (financial planning) myself I walked away wondering how this woman stays in business? Very unprofessional and rude.

MINUS STARS!!!, The worse experience to work with this Notary. We did deb consolidation and refinance. Date to close transaction was given ahead of time. At the end of the day the transaction could not be close, I was expecting at least change the date to the next following business day. Brenda request to the Bank to change the transaction dates without consulting me, her bad decisions cost me a lot of money and time to solve the mess she did. Also, when I review the accounts to pay, I have to make corrections at the last minute when we where about to sign papers. I found her super rude and very stressfull person to deal with and on top of that she did not recognized her own errors and blame everyone for the mistakes she did (the bank, the notary and even my self)

I Had them take care of the sale of my house and they never took care of all the payouts, which they were supposed to do, and it created a chain of events that caused a tonne of undue stress and the issues are still unravelling that arose from this entire experience. Usually a notary is supposed to alleviate some of the stress by taking care of things you cant, this place did none of that. They were friendly though so I gave them 2 stars for that otherwise it was a waste of $800.

I went there this morning asking for information about some documents I have to notarize and the secretary told me to come back at 7pm when the notary is there. Therefore I went back later with my docs and the notary (she didn't even introduce herself) rushed me to fill the last one because "it was late and she wanted to go home". Then, after filling it alone without her help, she told me it was wrong and anyway I should have waited the end of the month to fill that document. She ended our appointment saying "If I knew that it was wrong, I would have gone home earlier without waiting for you." I found it not helpful at all, impolite and especially not professional, since she is not volunteering but she's paid to do her job.
