My parent was there to notarize paperwork for the China Consulate in Vancouver, a service that they offer. They compiled the paperwork and sent it off only to get rejected by the Consulate that certain document does not meet the requirement and that they could not accept the paperwork. The admin from the consulate told us they had processed many notarization requests from this firm and they should have known requirement!!! THE PROCESS CAUSED US MORE THAN 2 WEEKS and that we are in an EMERGENCY. When discussing the issue with them, the business operator Chen blamed us for not checking the Consulate requirement prior to speaking with them and that he only knew the requirement as of today! How in earth could he conduct business like this?? Accepting money for service while don't even know what they were doing??? If they made it more clear that they didn't know what the consulate would have required, I would be more than happy to pay another notary who actually knows how to do the job! When you accept money for service because of your claimed expertise on your advertised services and dealing of businesses like this and you don’t keep up with the industry’s information, you end up wasting people’s time. It is a reasonable expectation from a client that at least your company knows the basic requirement so that you could provide reasonable advise to the client when potential obvious mistake was made. How do you do business if your only intention was to accept money for just a stamp from your notary firm and expect to know nothing more about the industry?

I already made clear it's my client who dealt with you. And perhaps you haven't noticed, a lot of people are affected by your negligence, not just monetary issue. I was the one who referred them to you, and I certainly regret and am full of shame. I did refer to what you replied, and it didn't fail to disappoint me again because even after all this you decide to list a bunch of excuses. My clients never asked you to do things for free, they did pay you, and you obviously didn't provide "legal advice" or explain things clear enough beforehand (+during the process and afterwards). Moreover, the consulate of China has told us you made several of the same applications and they were successful, but not this one, so obviously you know what went wrong. If we are to do what you said that you claim is our responsibility, notaries would not even exist. 我客户明明说明要给中国大使馆提交公证申请，按照Chen要求给出了需要的资料后，简简单单的三级认证申请竟然被大使馆驳回，非常不专业，理由是给的资料不被承认。浪费了几百元，两周时间，和白跑了大使馆吃闭门羹不说，Chen竟然拒绝退款，理由是我客户自己应该要寄一份申请到大使馆，他只负责寄出给省政府，可是这并不是大使馆驳回的理由，前后矛盾，态度极为恶劣。

If there is an option to select zero stars, that would be my choice! I do not recommend this inreponsible place to anyone. My parents' experience with Paul have been incredibly unprofessional by putting the incorrect document for authentication, resulting in an immense waste of time that would have been utilized towards the completion of the process. With some of the primary responsibilities of a Notary Public being explaining the legal process and procedures to be followed depending on their request and legalizing and authenticating affidavits testimonies, and other legal declarations. The document is incorrect so it was then returned by my Consulate. When we went back to question him how this had occurred, the answer was totally opposite of what should be done and they claimed that they only found out when we notified them of that! Even then, the Consulate services informed us that they have dealt with numerous situations likewise to ours in the past, therefore they should be familiarized with such topics. Despite our clarification of our intentions and the purpose of these documents, they gave us inaccurate info. Refuse to re-do the documents & cover the cost by the mistake that they made instead they want us to repay . The way they solve this issue is unacceptable.
