I was looking for someone to notarize a simple legal document and called up this law firm. First, the receptionist didn't even recognize the name of the document I was referencing and repeatedly asked me what document I was referring to. When she finally understood, she put me through to Alexandra. I left a message on her voice mail, again clearly stating my request and to date (one week later), still have not received a return phone call.

Average law firm, Michael Jaeger the lawyer commenced a claim then refused to file it as he wanted to amend the claim. My view is he should have got it right the first time, as I don't like to pay more than once for services. Likely one the better firms in Brantford. My advice take the drive to Hamilton to find better attorneys

I had Tanya Stephens handle the sale of my house. When the disbursements were made a mistake was made where I was shorted money. I notified the office and was told by her assistant that it would be taken care of. After several weeks of hearing nothing I was finally told that the people who bought my house were ignoring their requests to pay and that my only recourse was small claims court. I feel that it was the lawyers mistake in the first place and that since I paid for the service, I should not have to pay for the shortfall on top of the fee. I would tell everybody to never use this place as they do not even stand behind their services.

This was the second time using this firm for real estate. However, there was a mistake made in our deal that ended up seriously financially impacting us and the lawyer was not willing to take responsibility to make it right, even after it had been established that the mistake was made by the firm. Extremely disappointed and will not use this service again nor would I recommend Wendy Newton to anyone. Also, nearly 3 months after the fact, we still had not received the documentation for our house. To add to this, a full year later we found out that property that was supposed to be transferred into our names was not... Absolutely horrible service. Paid for a half-done job. Zero stars for our particular lawyer!
