I should say Mary is a very lovely person and she is very friendly .. she took me through my documents attestation step by step and helped me out with what I came for. I thought I am going to pay only $49 but paid extra for pictures attestation, which is fine. Place is clean, decorate is cool, what else to say and yeah she gave me a gift card $5 off for next visit. I was told by other police location the paper would ship to me 2-6 weeks and that will delay my application, but David told me it would mail just in a week. I had an awful experience here. I will never recommend this Notary Service to anyone. From the moment I walked into the office, the notary on duty was rude and dismissive. She also threw documents across the desk at me. It got to the point where I cried when I left because I was so overwhelmed by her tone, the way she spoke down to me and the lack of information I was able to obtain (in addition to the stressful situation I was originally there to obtain a notary for). In addition, she also informed my elderly father and I that she didn't provide an American Consulate notarizing service, where your document is stamped at the US embassy - which I needed for a real estate transaction. When I went to the embassy today (after weeks of waiting for an appointment), I was told she was there all the time doing this herself on behalf of clients. What?! It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had and when you're dealing with something legal and stressful, this is the absolute last thing that you need. It was truly awful. Also, don't bother calling the 'call centre' they're just as bad. Something rotten is going on here.

I will be sending my other employees here when they require fingerprinting for security clearance purposes. Remember to bring two forms of government-issued ID, not including health card! Also, bring the necessary forms specific to your request and circumstance.

The lawyer at the office 130 Albert street was not professional and very impolite. Although she claims to have 12 years experience, she couldn’t file a simple school board guardianship forms. I went here with my mom to get her fingerprint done for citizenship application. Even though the address of the immigration office where the fingerprint is to be send to is printed on the request letter, Red Seal told me(and a few other customers) that they do not have this address in their system, and that we'll have to call immigration call center to get the correct address. After a lot of waiting on the phone, immigration told me to go to a different rmcp accredited place instead. So we did it at another place without any problem whatsoever with the address...Don't even bother to go here for Fingerprinting...

The list for disliking this place and don’t ever recommending its services to anyone is endless. Extremely rude staff; poor communication between head office, staff and client; complete lack of care about the client’s business; no empathy or respect; no hand sanitizer provided (even after having to touch the finger print machine); and it goes on. My visit was a complete caos, the lady treated my as if she was doing me a favour (and probably a very dirty one) as nothing explains being rude to a client who did nothing to you other than, in a polite and normal tone, questioned about the service costs... I ended up being asked to remove myself from the room, while the lady stepped towards me in a very threatening manner.

Bad customer service all around Had to go twice because the staff did not want to process my fingerprinting the first time even though it was 15 minutes before closing. Both times felt like my business was not welcomed and I was a burden... $60 for 5-10 minutes of her time doesn’t seem so bad? Honestly if you like to be dismissed and spoken to like a child who’s bothering an annoyed parent, by all means this is the place for you. Otherwise, your patience, time, and money is better spent elsewhere.

Worst experience ever. TLDR: Wasted time and money, was treated poorly, and didn't get the service I wanted. First, the person in charge had a terrible attitude, acting as if I was wasting his time by being there, which immediately made me regret my decision to choose this place. Second, I mentioned in the beginning that I wanted the fingerprint for a background check in another country; but I guess I wasn't loud enough and was not heard properly. After getting my fingerprint, he said it would take 2-3 weeks to get approval from RCMP. When I said I just wanted to get the fingerprint without the RCMP's approval they said it was not possible. Later I found out that my friend had gotten the required documents without RCMP's approval on the same day from another place. When I went back and mentioned this, I was told that it was my fault for not saying that I wanted the fingerprint for another country, as if I was lying about what I had said in the beginning! They then asked me to pay again if I wanted to get what I had initially come for, which I of course did not do. I'd rather flush twice the money down the toilet than to have to go through the same experience again; at least I would be treated better and not be implicitly called a liar. EDIT: I called the number provided by the owner and described the events in more details. They said they would look into it to make sure other customers would be treated better and offered to give me the documents I was looking for (which I had already gotten from somewhere else). I appreciate the follow-up by the owner and the attempt to rectify the situation, so I'll update the score from 1 star.

OKAY.... I give it the high rating because many places are closed on weekends but they are true to their hours + take walk in. Whereas places like the notary at wal-mart, which you THINK would be "walk in" are actually NOT walk-in friendly...why would you need to make an appointment for something that literally takes 5 minutes -_- There's free 1 hr parking in the parking garage nearby. It'll say so outside the garage before you enter, so make sure you enter the right one as there are a couple in the area. I paid around $50 for my notarized document (1 pg, 2 "signatures"). On weekends, you need passcard for the elevator, so you have to call the reception # to let you up. So be sure to have a cell phone! The best place to wait for the reception person is in the huge lobby (with lots of glass) with the closed coffee shop and the security desk (there is a guy there). When I went, they were (probably still are?) under reno so no technology worked, some guy tried to do finger printing but the machine wasn't working, and also they could not accept debit/credit card, so I had to run and get cash. Lesson is, call ahead to make sure everything is functioning before you go!

My experience with this company has been primarily negative, unfortunately. When I arrived, the internet was apparently spotty. The man working there was not handling it well. He yelled *very loudly* - twice - out of frustration and was swearing, even though there were 2 customers present. I found this to be quite unprofessional and a bit scary to be honest. Despite this, we went ahead and began working on my fingerprints. I was able to pay for the service with the promise that when the internet was back it would be processed. A week later, when I requested a status update from the RCMP, they said they had nothing on file. I had to go back and forth on several calls and emails with the RCMP and Red Seal Notary only to finally discover that my file had never actually been sent. A reliable company, knowing they had internet issues, would do their due diligence and ensure they completed the service they were already paid for. If I hadn't followed up myself I'd still be waiting indefinitely. I got a weak apology for the inconvenience. I am unlikely to use their services again.

I went to the North York location a few weeks ago to get a very simple notarization done. The work was completed efficiently. There were, however, two issues with my interaction there. First off, the man doing the work was grumpy and irritable/rude for no reason. I felt like I was interrupting his nap time or something. Also he wasn't wearing a mask. Being behind a short plastic barrier doesn't protect your customers from potential Covid transmission. Overall, notaries are a dime a dozen and if you have the opportunity I would suggest trying elsewhere for a more professional attitude and respect for customer safety.

I have used this Red Seal Notary location on 2 occasions, and I must say that the reason why I became a return customer, was because of the impeccable service that I received from Linda. She is welcoming with a very kind spirit. I would definitely use her services again and would recommend her location to anyone looking for a notary public. The only thing that I would add which is unrelated to services that I received, is avoid using the underground parking. It's very confusing to find your way back to it, depending on which set of elevators you use. Park on the outside of the building for a faster exit

I walked into the notary office without appointment and walked out 40 minutes later with everything completed and had affirmed that the visa office had received my letter. unbelievable, i was asking for the RCMP fingerprint service and the overseas fingerprint service, we have even brought all the IDs and documents from the government. The lady at this location told us to just simply do the digital fingerprint and she will mail it directly to the RCMP and our agent's office address. NOW, i have called again as time goes by which is almost 4 week and the one picking up the phone said we need the INK FINGERPRINT SERVICE!!!!! now we have wasted 4 weeks and WE TRUSTED THE LADY AT THE NORTH YORK LOCATION!!!!!! the dead line is over already !!!!!! now we are still figuring out if we need 10 more fingerprint services or not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first time I used Red Seal, they were quick, helpful and friendly. I dealt with the notary working that day directly. My second experience was not at all like the first. I called about a month ago and was completely put off by the rudest individual named Stephanie who is the supervisor (she was very keen to tell me this given I had asked for her name with the intent on following up with Red Seal to complain about her attitude). Her behaviour was so out of line on the phone that I decided to go elsewhere, where I learned that Red Seal Notary is grossly overpriced. They charged me a flat fee of $59. plus HST for their service and when I called to have another document commissioned, they wanted the same fee. I went to a lawyer instead and was charged $35. plus HST and I received courteous and professional treatment by his staff.

The Negatives: The head office ("the business") does not want to allow each branch to take phone calls from clients, so in an effort to centralize the service, you end up talking to someone who is far away from the branch you are trying to reach, thus asking questions that relates to the branch you want to visit is futile. There is absolutely no parking. We spent over an hour trying to find parking in the area, but everything was full (all parking is paid, which is fine, only if you can find a spot). Now the Positives: 1) No-nonsense service. Great, efficient and quick service without any hassles. I don't know why it's so hard to find a notary that doesn't talk nonsense or try to rip you off, but this one happens to be amazing. This was the third notary I went to, after the first two tried to upsell a simple job into a nearly $1000 production. 2) knowledgeable, helpful staff 3) reasonable price I'd give this place 5/5 if they had parking and direct phone lines.

I had three documents to be Notarized and walked right in to this Mississauga location - no appt. The lady at the desk was very warm and welcoming which was great while I waited just about 5mins to see Anthony the Notary. There were a few challenges with my documents which had to be dealt with before he was able to actually notarize it. He very kind, calm and patient which helped me focus on sorting out my issue. He never once made me feel rushed or that I was taking up too much of his time. When it was all sorted out he happily signed and notarized the documents and sent me on my way. Subpar customer service but fast service .. let me explain. Went for digital fingerprinting and I guess since this service does not make me a potential repeat customer, I was given the bare minimum as far as service is concerned ... which I can understand from a business perspective even though I do not necessarily agree. The process was fast, and again I do not think it was for my benefit, it is more about productivity ... $63 for 5-7 min, I'd take that ... I cannot speak to the efficiency yet as I have not received the results and the process is not completed. But like at least one reviewer here, I noticed he does not accept being contradicted on the sole reason that he has been doing this for a while ... the only reasons I did not give a below average rating is that the service was provided, and he apologized for a mistake that I had pointed out and about which we had a courteous argument. Bottom line, I would not recommend if you go for this type of services but I think he would be more loquacious and willing to assist if the service involves more billable tasks or time. Cheers,

I just called Red Seal Notary to enquirer about having documents sent from Toronto to the Ottawa location to be singed and witnessed by a notary. The gentlemen who answered the phone at the Toronto location, which had a terrible static connection, informed me that they did not offer that service. Isn’t the definition of a notary, as defined on their website … “A notary public is a person who can serve as an official witness to the execution (signing) of contracts, agreements, and an almost limitless array of legal documents.” Red Seal Notary really needs to educate their staff about what services they are offering. This does not inspire trust. I will not be using their services now or in the future.

If you are getting a document notarized for Korean government, this Notary republic is not accepted by Korean Embassy, so you will have to go to Global affairs to get the document authenticated again before bringing it to embassy. This was a little troublesome, because if I got it notarized by registered lawyer, it could have been much simpler. So recommend going to lawyers who does notarization service if you need to bring the doc to Korean Embassy to get it apostilled. Overall service was quick and relatively cheaper than other places.
