Working with International Documents Canada was an absolute DREAM when it comes to authenticating, legalizing, and any other sort of document sorting you need in regards to Canadian documents used abroad. I was hoping for a quick turnaround and got just that, even with COVID shut downs happening! The women that I spoke with when I had questions and concerns were all extremely helpful, informative and honest - leaving me to feel very reassured that I would get my documents back in a timely manner. I am out of Canada right now, and if at any point I need documents dealt with again in the same manner, I will absolutely consider using them again. The cost is higher than what you would pay if you were to just handle everything on your own, but you will NOT have the quick turnaround time if you do not live in Ottawa. I have recommended this company to other people, and will continue to do so. I felt that my important documents were safe in their hands, and that they were in the end worth the cost.

Let's say you need a document "authenticated". Let's say until yesterday, you didn't even know what "authenticated" meant! So, you check on the GAC website. It's free. But it'll take five weeks! You don't have 5 weeks. GAC says there's no way to expedite this. Well, guess hwhat? There _IS_ a way to expedite this! Bring it to iDocs. They can get it done in DAYS, not WEEKS! It's expensive, but they can get you out of a jam! So, it may just be worth it!

Great service - Recommend for everyone I contacted IDC on Aug 2021 to get my baby birth certificate authenticated and legalized. Initially, it was sent to Ottawa office instead of ODS, Toronto. But, IDC acknowledged their mistake and contacted the respective departments to get that resolved. I was bit frustrated with the delay as it further delays the visa process. But, they understood the customer’s agony and took the efforts to return my documents as early as possible. Also, they refunded some part of the fees. They stood by the words. The service was as promised. The fee is also nominal and lesser compared to other downtown offices.I would definitely recommend them for everyone and I will also pursue their service in future as well. There was very little clarity and a lot of conflicting information from the Canadian Embassy. I would give more than 5 stars if allowed, as this was such a great service. I would highly recommend them, especially if you are abroad and need help with legalizing or ordering documents. In my situation the pandemic has me stuck in Ireland with no way of making a trip home to Canada to get anything done. I required a copy of my divorce certificate for immigration and to re-mary. What I didn't realize was: 1) the document issued to you after your divorce is finalized is NOT a divorce certificate, and only a court order issued one month before the certificate. It literally has no legal purpose other than to tell you your divorce is legal one month later. This is the only document you recieved in the divorce process. 2) to get a very similar looking document that IS a certificate and that is recognized as a legal document to re-mary or submit to immigration, you need to seperately go back to the courthouse to request in person OR mail a request with money order and have it delivered to a Canadian mailing address. I'm sure there's some complicated legal excuse for this, but seems more like a cash grab to take advantage of people who just want to move on with their lives, and have the documents to do so.. Having these new hurdles due to thinking I surely was issued a legal document in the first place had me absolutely gutted and worried I would have to delay the wedding. With nobody answering the phones at the courthouse, and having anyone go on my behalf impossible with the covid restrictions, not to mention being in a different time zone, I did an insane level of research, to mostly come across legal services that either didn't help at all, or would have cost a fortune. I finally came across IDC, and though their primary services mostly outlined legalizing documents, they did mention on their site the ability to order divorce certificates on someone's behalf. I called the next day, and spoke with Lisa. I was rambling, in a bit of a panic, and yet she was calm and immediately displayed confidence in getting all sorted. She identified what I needed, and within the hour had already sent forms for me to fill out to have them complete everything on my behalf. This and a scanned signed form from me later, and they had already sent out the order for the certificate. She advised it's usually a 1-2 week process but could have delays due to the pandemic, which already seemed quick to me, since that's about the time it's taken in the past for me to even reach a human being at the courthouse by any means of communication pre-Covid... 9 days later, I recieve an email stating my document was already recieved and was being shipped. 2 days after that I recieved the document safely delivered by FedEx! What can I say other than what they did for me saved me time, stress and allowed me to quickly go back to focusing and getting excited for our wedding. That alone is worth so much more than the reasonable costs of their services. If you are abroad, or need legalization for documents you will need abroad, stop researching anything else and call IDC! (Also to note. The day before I first called IDC, I filled out a contact form for the courthouse in Ottawa where I was directed to. 12 days later and still no response to my initial email. If I didn't go through IDC, I would still be waiting on how to acquire my certificate, let alone be anywhere near ordering it!)

Thanks to all of you in the office. I was struggling with bank documents from Slovakia that needed to be signed by my sister in Canada and notarized with Apostille. Since Canada doesn't do Apostille we had to go through process that was new to me, Authentication and Legalization. I called the office at least 10 times and emailed about 20 times to make sure everything will be smooth. Everyone was always happy and friendly and explained every detail I was asking about. They saved my good amount of money on the translation of my documents. When the documents arrived in Ottawa they finished within 3 days if not 2(don't remember). I had my documents in my hands in 3 days after they shipped with fedex. One thing I would recommend is not using Canada post or any other state post services like USpostal, Slovakpost. My documenst got stuck in Canada on the way to my sister due to mistake in sorting. We have alot of bad experience in USA with us postal service.

They accomplished something that was nearly impossible during the COVID-19 Pandemic. I started to try it myself and did not see the light at the end of the tunnel.
