Honestly the worst thing I have ever uses i would curse on your company but try to keep it appropriate. Here's a little advice get better services starting with your calling system been on hold for a hour and a half and nothing. Between you and car insurance companies you are a joke. Only reason why I only rated one star is that I generally feel bad for the direction your company is going and so I can write you a nice review it would be great if your workers also gave better directions that ACTUALLY work out for you !

Anything related to motor registration including vehicle registration, transfer of ownership, drivers license etc in Newfoundland and Labrador especially in St. Johns's and Mount Pearl. Online appointment is required during this period. The service is excellent and fast. It takes about 10-15mins depending on the service.

The hours say they open at 8AM. I've been calling from 8AM and it's now 8.45AM. The automated message still says, the offices are closed, and it's no statutory holiday or any weekend. Shameful service

Well discovered they are a month behind in appointments. I got one foe August 24th. Ridiculous since if they hired more staff they could clear up the backlog and get back to where they were pre covid. You can still do license and vehicle renewals online which is recommended. They might be back to normal by next year

Just not enough wickets open for the number of people that pass through here on a daily basis. Not all clerks follow the same procedures for processing registration of vehicles etc. Very frustrating.

The employees here are clueless, incompetent and i don't really know what more to say! Kept me going from St.john's to Mt. pearl for 3 consecutive days to get a 5 minute job done because of their conflicting instructions! Horrible service

Too lazy to change the opening time on the website from 8am to 830. Leaving people having to Stand outside in line fir half hr longer. Not good enough! Doors EVEN THEN don't open right at 830. Its pathetic!

One of the worst service providers in Canada! Sent them email never heard back. Sent again after waiting two months no reply. Now called them and being on the line for an hour and fifteen minutes still no one is picking up. When you call them the automatic voice will give you updates on where in the queue you are standing but after half an hour they don't provide any update. You have to be in the line for infinite time. These people dont really know how to respect customers.

I did my road test and failed, the guy was examiner was extremely rude and unfair, I did one mainor mistake and he was telling me you did such mistake and you must be know, this discussions continue and cuased that I did my second minor mistake and so on. At end I told him you should don’t distract me during the exam and just must give me directions. He felt I am begging him and reduce mark as improper attitude. How they can sleep with such feel guilty.

I gave it only 3 stars because the wait time takes forever (like all steteotypical DMVs do), but the staff are really helpful and can assist you with all inquiries (unlike the stereotypical government employees) The facility is large and has lots of seating for your wait though, so it's not that bad

Been waiting on a licence renewal and stickers for almost THREE MONTHS now. Have called multiple times and get the same run down of, "please wait 10 business days until it comes in the mail." I am not going to be able to drive in a few weeks as my licence and stickers will expire. I cannot do anything about it besides complain to their awful customer service and wait for something that probably won't show up. Please fix this.

No one answers the phone. The staff I dealt with in person was not knowledgeable at all. She didn’t even know the difference between residential and mailing address. Get some diversity at your place & open up more centers in this village

If you go later in afternoon you don't have to wait for hours. I went at 3:45 and waited just over one hour. They close at 4 p.m., but if you are still in line with your number you will be seen when it is your turn. Alternatively if only need to change your address you can email them. It's free and takes 72 hours.

Called yesterday for their hours. 9-4:30. Told me nothing about closing to lunch from 11:45-1pm. Why would you closed down completely instead of rotating your lunch breaks. Amazing. I'm parked by your doors and have so far counted 6 customers in the last 10 minutes not including myself that have pulled on your locked doors. And here's another one pulling in.

with everything considered, the wait wasn't too bad. I did have to wait outside in the cold for a little bit even though I had appointments, but I do understand it was out of control of the staff. Once I got in the wait wasn't too bad. The staff who was working with me was amazing, she understood my problem and gave me solutions based on my current situation. Very nice of her. Made my experience much better then it could have been.

Horrible experience. They registered my vehicle somehow with my license suspended without telling me. I get hauled over for a suspended license when I didn't know my license was suspended, now I have too wait 23 days (the nearest appointment) and pay impound fees and overnight fees because of their screw up. Made an appointment today, couldn't find my email with the appointment booking yet I was there on the sheet yet wouldn't let me into my appointment. The system is messed up, set up for failure. Something needs too be done about the lack of knowledge and care at this establishment, and the way its set up is horrendous. Nothing but bad things too say.

Always way too long of a wait and closes too early when most of the population gets off work around 5pm and this GOVERNMENT building closes before then and closed on weekends so always have to take time off work just to go there. Also tons of boothes where people could be there working so wait times arent so long but theres only a handful of impatient staff. In need of an upgrade.

Because of covid capacity and restrictions and I'm am assuming a back log of people requiring services I had to book an appointment 3 weeks out from when I made it but once the appointment date finally came the process of actually getting what I needed done in the building was quick and I only ended up being there for 20 mins total from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. Overall a good DMV experience just wish I did not have to wait 3 weeks to book a day to be seen.

Waited 3 and a half hours on the phone to book an appointment to write a test for my motorcycle beginners, got hung up on without speaking to somebody first or last. Motor Registration is more unorganized then College of the North Atlantic, and that's pretty bad.

It's your average mrd. Things take a while. Butttttt now they have online appointments which are amazing. I made one and they had availabilities within 2 days, when I went in I was seen within 10 minutes. Highly recommend making an appointment to avoid waiting hours.

What a joke how many months is going to take to make a simple appointment? Clearly companies are just trying to create disturbances and difficulties

This Service NL provides the strongest argument for the need to privatize the industry. Expect a 2-3 hour wait time (still in line waiting). There is an online service to book an appointment in advance but the appointments are a week out and talking to the people next to me, they had used the online appointment but have still waited two hours from their original appointment time. Plan for an all day outing if you're looking to do anything other than update you vehicle tags.

Some hard crew to get ahold of. I always dread the days that I have to deal with the people at the dmv they are always so rude and unprofessional. I’ve been almost a month trying to get ahold of someone to get my new car transferred into my name. They haven’t answered any of my emails or any of my calls the stupid automated voice keeps hanging up on me. I finally got an appointment but it’s so far away that my inspection slip is going to be expired but it’s literally their fault

PLEASE READ If you renew your licence on line please double check the dates and also call to make sure your licence is not listed as rejected. As some times people who work here are incapable of doing there job and removing the rejection once your licence is expired there for you will be driving with no licence even though you received one in the mail. Who ever is working can forget to change the information. If this happens you could have results as having the licence suspended and have to attend court and possibly have a 3 month wait period to even attend there for you will not be eligible to drive for that period of time! Be carful and doubble check everything you receive! Couldn’t even think of the possibility of if an accident occurred with people not being aware they arnt carrying a real drivers licence. Double check everything because they will inform you it is not there responsibility to send correct information and you have to double check your self.

The biggest complaint i have is that since it's suppose to be a government building that hands papers that are required, they should at leasr close at 5:30. Most of ous work up until late on low paying jobs and cannot get our paperwork done because of this. Other than that this place compared to other government places one can see why people hate it here.

When you call this place you can never talk to anyone it says every time you call, “We are experiencing a higher then normal call volume call later or leave a message and we will call you by the end of the next business day.” Ridiculous! Use some of our tax dollars to hire a few more people! A government building like this should be easy to access its services!!

I can handle the annoyance of having to wait an extended period to get served. What I cant take is the ignorance of the workers. The receptionist reppresentative needs an attitude check/99 happy meals. I always take the time to drive to the harbour grace location when u can but when I'm in a pinch and have to go to this location I genuinely hate my life. No one is consistent in what they say and they give you the run around. I would 110% expect this lack of service if I had done something to deserve it but like come on.

I would give them -stars if I could. Bought a car with my daughter, I paid for it for her. She had all the correct paperwork, but they put it in MY NAME. don't ask me how!!. Now I have to go into motor vehicle registration and PAY $50 for their mistake to get it changed when I paid for the car "on the road" all fees included!! Useless bunch.

I cannot understand why they are not opened for the Public with social Distancing. The Mt Pearl branch has had glass enclosures for years and years, and with the size of the waiting area social distancing WOULD NOT be an issue. Tried calling to inquire about how to transfer a vehicle only to wait 45 minutes on the phone and then Got Hung up on. I even drove to their building as I was told to do, to have the Drop off box OUT OF ORDER now how is that even possible it’s a Slot in the building. This is absolutely ridiculous they need to OPEN up and let people get things done. There was Alot of people there trying to Get Answers which they all said NO ONE answered the phone and if they did they had NO CLUE on how to answer the questions people had. If I could rate a ZERO I would. There is a lot of people WHO DO NOT HAVE COMPUTER ACCESS. It seems impossible to get things done here at this building.

Been trying to get a vehicle on the road since September 2018, workers give certain information, so I follow what I need to get, get it all go back and I get different information from different workers. Willing to pay the taxes on the difference but they won’t let get my car on the road, even with the inspection slip in hand.

I went and got my license transferred from Ontario to Newfoundland and they screwed up and didn't provide me with the correct class on my license. I've been trying to get hold of someone for over 2 weeks now and am wondering, does anybody even work there anymore? I've emailed 3 times in the past 2 weeks with no response. I've also called 3 times in the past 2 weeks and have been on hold for over an hour before I gave up. I know you're likely going to blame COVID-19 but if thats the case am I going to get back some of the 15% income tax I pay or the 13% HST since the money is obviously not going towards providing us with government services? Extremely disappointed in the level of incompetence thus far.

Can I give less then One star? I registered my vehicle online on June 10, 2019 and it's now 45 days later and I have not received my plate renewal stickers. When I called to inquire I was on hold for 40 minutes only to tell me that it takes a full 30 days to receive the plate sticker in the mail. It's now 45 days and counting and no stickers. I want to leave the province and travel and likely across border, how nice that will be without a sticker on my plate. I am now on hold again as I type and it's already been 25 minutes and no answer. Totally unacceptable. Hey Mr. Ball, yes you, the Premier how about getting on the "BALL" and get this service changed. All you need to do is take a look at the amount of negative experiences posted here which I am sure there are lots more not posted.

If u get to be served by a girl named Lesley you'll be lucky but there's also staff that have the personality of a Tasmanian devil. A yr ago I was helping a friend to get a vehicle registered and was served by a very rude person who was giving me bad info so I told her that I had worked there for 38 yrs and had forgotten more than she will ever know.
