I went to open a new chequing account. I was looking for one that had no or low fee. A rep told me I can have a year program that gives free chequing account. Didn't tell me I need a deposit of $1500 a month for it to be free. Didn't say anything on the papers she gave me. I found out three month into it when I got manually charged. I cancelled it after because I didn't want to deal with this.

Worst experience I could have imagined setting up my first mortgage. They called me two nights prior to my house closing informing me that they couldn't actually do the deal the agreed to. The loan specialist was quite unhelpful to a first time mortgage client, expecting me to know their processes and chastised me when I made errors. I visited another (non-BMO) bank in Belleville and had the nicest service I could have hoped for. Went in on a Friday and had a mortgage by Tues at a better rate and I dont even bank with them. I do not recommend this bank.

Worst experience I could have imagined setting up my first mortgage. I was assured by the mortgage banker that since it was our first time that she would take care of everything. We were notified when we first started the process that she was new at this position but was not new to banking. This made us nervous but we were reassured time and time again that she knew what she was doing. That was our first mistake trusting that she would take care of things. Everything was done last minute and by email only. Every deadline we had we were notified by the lawyer who said our banker should have notified us. The mortgage banker would not return our phone calls. And when I escalated this issue to the bank manager in lack of response from her. There was no response from the bank manager..but he must have told her to finally contact us because we started to get call from the mortgage banker. The stress that was put on myself and my husband unnecessarily made this experience horrible. I do not recommend coming to the BMO to do your mortgage set up with Lori Martin EVER!!!!

Absolute worst customer service ever, change my plan and screw me out of money, hang up my phone calls, and ignore my emails for 3 weeks, closing all my accounts with you greaseball thief's. 10 months later, same thing, done with bmo

This branch messed up a very important transfer and then all the subsequent dealings with them were very poorly handled. Bounced me around between staff. When I threatened to pull my business management offered to help clear the issue up but then forgot all about it. Very disappointed, have been a BMO customer since I was 10, will be terminating my business with BMO.

This Branch of the Bank of Montreal is excellent! The customer service I receive each & every time I have a need to actually attend at the bank is superior & I am not exaggerating at all. They are friendly,.professional & go above & beyond to be helpful, which is very important to me these days more than ever. Customer service seems at times to be a thing of the past which is disappointing, so I must toot the horns of the staff at this Branch of the BOM. Yes on occasion you do have 3 maybe even 4 people ahead of you in line, perhaps it's a busy time they were not expecting & believe me I have rapid Degenerative Osteoarthritis & it is very hard for me to stand in line; but I have never seen 12 or even more than 4 people in line at this Branch. When there is a line up, the Business teller immediately begins helping people waiting for personal banking! I have even seen the Customer Service desk take a customer!!!! Way to go Staff at the Bell Blvd. Branch for your exceptional customer service, please know it is greatly appreciated!!! Sincerely, ~Kim G.

Horrible service I have receive from the beginning I have cancelled my account and will no longer suggest BMO as a Bank of choice. Just awful I was lied to and plus took 16.95 for my monthly fees when they were already taken out for the month of September, 2021. Cancelled the account and took the 16.95 for the month of service for October??? Like why? I am no longer your client. I was to receive the amount of $300 to have signed up. I was given the run around and lied to. She went to tell me that my account was cancelled June ( the teller goes by M. Bathurst branch that there was a problem and reissued a new card and account number and reactivated. ) Then went on to say I should not receive the amount till January, 2022??? Because of the cancellation that was not done on my end, went to the bank was given the run around by the people there. Dishonest place and liars. They could not even answer my questions none of them. I was dealing with Bathurst branch and my account was there but the transit was different???? Anyway don’t go there. Also I was to get a call from the bank manager on October 1st, 2021, I am still waiting for that call. I reached out to them three or four times with zero results. Horrible service…if I could give -5 stars I would do that.

Went to this branch on a Saturday during their open hours 9:30am–4pm to deposit a very large time sensitive bank draft for my business only to be greeted by a single staff member directing people to use the ATM machines because there were no tellers or any other bank staff on Saturdays. What is the point of saying your branch is open if all you can use are the ATMs? I am extremely disappointed by the level of service offered by BMO. I have several corporations banking with BMO and now I am seriously considering why I bother banking with them when there are plenty of other banks that can deliver the same products with much better service.

I had a meeting with Xiao (Angela) regarding an investment plan and she was absolutely amazing. She walked me through all of my options in great detail and with genuine patience. She was extremely knowledgeable and immediately earned my trust. It was clear that she cared about my financial success. I am not one to typically leave reviews, but the service provided by Xiao definitely warranted it.

Standing in line forever because you can't pay additional on your car loan online. 3 tellers and 12 people in line at all times. Not sure to blame the bank of the people who haven't figured out online banking...

On February 11, I contacted BMO to make arrangements to withdraw money from my RRSP savings account. It is now February 23, and I still havent received these funds. I have spoke to staff several times now. It should not take this long to access your own money and I still have no idea when I will receive it. Very poor service.

Terrible experience I am 14 and have a checking's and savings account and had no money in account. I tried to make a purchase it did not go through but some how i was charged 1 cent of interest putting me in the negatives. Then i was charged 10 dollers of overcharge very annoying.

This bank closed my account and then is asking me for the money I owe on my card?? But then, they are telling me that I do not have an account anymore so I cannot make any payment...? You guys are screwing up with people's life because you don't know how to do your job? Never seen such dumb people.
