I would never recommend Natalie Reeder for any case that involves children, she sadly was appointed to my son from the courts, she abused the legal aide system by hiring her mother as a child voice advocate where as her mother is not licensed as one! She felt that she was too good for our case, took no time to talk with me or my ex, had a 7 min meeting with my son and felt she was expert enough after that short meeting to make a decision on what was best for my son. She at no time took anytime to talk with any of the other lawyers involved in our case and in fact looked down her righteous nose at them! Her lack of involvement in our case has now ripped my family apart all because she was not wanting to be involved in our case that she was assigned to by the courts! I will never recommend her to anyone!

This has been a horrible experience. The separation agreement was suppose to be done in two weeks. It'll be 3 weeks tomorrow and communication has completely stopped. There were EIGHTEEN errors or ommisions in the first draft. In fact, they used the wrong names and called the husband "wife" and the wife "husband". The paralegal redid the contract changing things that didn't need to be changed. This I'll call contract #2, as it was so different. After another string of errors in #2, it was sent to the desk of the lawyer as the paralegal was obviously incompetent. The lawyer went back to contract #1 (have no idea what happened to #2) and the errors that were in the first contract were back. This was clearly the paralegal giving Germaine the wrong draft. I've called 3 times and am told that Germaine in busy, so I am stuck in limbo. Update: I am happy to report that the issues have been resolved. The paralegal was fully responsible for the communication breakdown and errors in the contract. Germaine has done everything she can to make sure the contract is correct and complete. I understand she was not given messages in a timely manner and did call me after hours to attempt resolution. ****************** Update March 19, 2019. There was a typo that has given my ex another 10 days to mess with me. AND they didn't put a timeline for the RRSP settlement, so he hasn't done it yet. I have no recourse but to sue him to force him to sign over the portion he owes me. Read everything! And even when you think you have it all, read it again. How many errors can one lawyer make? I wish I could go back in time and go elsewhere.

Both my mom and I have had a dissatisfying service lately after going to stone tree for years ever since Jay Rudder was apart of the team. We both dealt with Tina Cai who is not very receptive on what is being requested, once she says no she just blocks out your explanation completely. She also tends to just toss the documents aside very unprofessionally while flicking through them not giving a care that this is important documents to customers. She refused to sign documents for us as she didn't see it fit to. After calling and complaining as we could not submit the documents unsigned, another team member was able to sign the documents stating it should have been signed in the initial request. The inconvenience of multiple trips could have been saved if Tina trys to be more receptive and polite to her customers. After all we are paying for a service!

This firm of lawyers appears to have a false sense of their own importance. They are arrogant, rude, disrespectful and outrageously expensive for the poor service that they provide. We were charged an outrageous amount for the work that was done on our file. When we attended the initial consultation we were advised that our case was not important enough for them but they would assign a lawyer that was articling and inexperienced. Our issues were as follows: We did most of the legwork on the file by searching for documents and submitting them for the lawyer to review. But were charged for this. We were repeatedly asked for the same documents over the course of the year which made us wonder whether anyone had been reading the information that had been sent to them repeatedly. And we were charged for this. This caused significant delay. Although we had been quoted a flat rate this firm continually sent us bills. When we challenged this all communication stopped. At one point the lawyer was changed and when we had a conversation with the new lawyer she was defensive, dismissive and disrespectful when challenged. This lawyer had clearly not read any of the information on file and once again was treating this file as a new file with new billing. We asked her whether she had reviewed the file as the documents once again being asked for had been sent. Her response was that she did not have time to review the entire file. That it was too large. But we were charged for this service. A simple divorce which should have cost less that $2000 was now costing us well over that with no real progress. When we challenged them on the continued billing they became confrontational and threatening. We were contacted by Germaine Fields who told us that they have decided not to continue representing us because they felt that we were being verbally aggressive. We explained that we had a right question them and to ensure that we were being billed appropriately and were concerned that the new lawyer was treating this file as a new file as opposed by one that they continually told us was at the final stages. They refused to discuss the issue any further and sent our documents back without completing the file. We were advised that we could complete it ourselves. So in the end this firm did not fulfill their obligations to us. This firm is not supportive of their clients. Save your money and run.

Two words to describe this law firm. Money hungry! Only doing the work for the financial gain and not to help out people. Sure they helped me, yet knowing I am a single dad of 3 struggling financially, I asked for pro-bono work or alternative ways to pay yet I was ignored, told it will get figured out. It all started after my free consultation, I told them I would be in touch if I wanted their help, yet a student lawyer showed up anyways on my courtdate. Emails were always sent to my secondary account which I told them I barely use, which caused mass confusion. Work was done trying to go routes which I told them not to go down anyways, yet was still charged time for research. I wouldnt recommend this firm. Not unless you want people representing you that could care less about you or your personal life, pinching every dollar they can.

Shockingly terrible! Unfortunately, I trusted positive reviews and decided hiring this Law firm. Meeting Heather Tyminski and trusting her was a big mistake. She grabbed my case by promising that she will take a quick action on my case. communication with her got totally stopped after giving her my documents and retaining amount. I have been so depressed throughout the period because she didn’t explain what she was going to do with my case. Every time I was told she was working on my case, no answer to phone calls and no proper answer to emails. After two months, I wrote an email to Natalie Reader about that situation. Then Heather sent me a draft that was more shocking because Heather did only simple calculations( by deviding amounts into per year)in two months. I couldn’t see her legal expertise in two months. Finally I asked her for returning my documents and not to include her work. I got my documents back with zero input by Heather, but she charged approximately $ 1700 for wasting my time. Heather Tyminski can help you to take your bad situation to the wrost level. Bad luck to her career!

I’ve never needed a lawyer before so this was my first experience. Based on what I needed, the strong google reviews overall and the fact this firm disclosed pricing up front on their website and was clear and transparent for what I needed, I decided to proceed. I was assigned to Germaine Fields, who initially was easy to deal with and fairly responsive. However it was evident after the legal letter I required to be drafted, which was full of grammatical and spelling mistakes , and I had to highlight all these things so the letter could be corrected (I could have written it myself), items I requested to be included were not, and the extremely poor follow up and communication that followed only proceeded everything going downward from there. Despite regular attempts for follow up, it often took weeks to hear back from Germaine, with no clear and concise next steps. I felt as though issues I wanted addressed were being avoided, and that my case became a very low priority. After a final attempt to reach out and get a small issue looked after based on the other parties requirement of me going through a lawyer, I received zero response from Germaine and months have now lapsed. For obvious reasons I will not attempt to seek legal counsel and assistance from Germaine or Stone Tree Law any further, and would highly encourage anyone seeking legal counsel to go elsewhere. I can’t speak to the other lawyers within this firm but only on my own experience. My first legal experience was horrific and terrible, and I’m shocked and uphauled at just how awful it was. It is likely I would have to start the entire process over again, incurring additional costs that are unnecessary as were already paid to Stone Tree. Please seek alternatives! I would give no stars if I could…

She sought us out to hear our perspective, and when presented with our information and paperwork, she offered us the original fees we expected. Anyone who is willing to revisit a situation and take presented documents into account is not only ethical in my books, but brings humanity back to business. Thank you. Our final bill for a real estate title change was almost $500 more than the estimate. We asked about fees from the beginning. We budgeted based on the numerous discussions about fees. Imagine the shock when after signing a paper with our lawyer stating the estimated fees, and having yet one more conversation about them, we receive a statement that was significantly higher. We could understand up to $50 higher, but with a straight-forward situation, with NO complications or changes after our meeting, we were shocked to see it that much higher. We feel duped. We truly liked Natalie. She had an effective demeanor. We were about to recommend her to our family. We’re disappointed.

I reached out to Stonetree Law to see if they could do independent legal advice for my fiancé. We submitted all the paperwork and paid on April 8. After not hearing back for over a week we followed up by phone and email. Finally, almost 20 days later we heard back from Taylor Grantham (lawyer) and scheduled a meeting. At the meeting, Taylor advised she would call back in 2 days to schedule another meeting to review and sign documents. We waited, there was no call. We followed up again by email a couple times in May, and even got my lawyer to reach out to Taylor mid May. I cc’d the partner at Stone Tree in one of my follow ups since we weren’t getting any responses which seemed to have worked. Taylor finally got back to us late May saying she had some health issues and was two weeks behind schedule. She didn’t have an out of office reply or anything so we had no clue why we hadn’t heard back for such a long time. My lawyer had to be involved in numerous back/forth emails with Taylor and us to coordinate, which of course cost us more money in the end. There were also a couple signatures that were missed on the document that Taylor had reviewed which resulted in even more time being wasted throughout this process. What should have taken a week or two took over two months due to a complete lack of communication on Taylor’s part.
