I recommend taking your driver's test somewhere else. If you are looking to have someone in the car with you who is incapable of remaining calm and is more focused on how they look than the actual test, this is the place for you. The examiner was condescending, patronizing, rude, and was impolite right from the get go. For safety reasons, I think it's best to take your test somewhere else. Making driver's anxious is not how you get results, but I'm sure the power trip feels good!
Went for a Birth Certificate for my newborn baby girl and the clerk was extremely ignorant of the process and was surprised with my international surnames. Also, she kept being "surprised" that I wanted 2 original copies instead of 1 and that I wanted to pay for the certified copy of the registry. Hopefully, with more training this will get resolved.
I missed a signature on a document that needed to be notarized. They didn’t charge me to get it sorted out and didn’t make a big deal about it.
Not very knowledgeable and uncourteous. Sent us away claiming our information was incorrect and after we checked the validity of our information, they still couldn’t help us. We’ll be taking our business elsewhere.
Knowledgable and friendly staff - I go here for personal and business needs and have always found them very helpful.
Went here to get a new health care card for my daughter since her name was ammended, it came with the old name... when I spoke to a representative from AHS they said I should ask for the manager personally... so here I am 30 + mins away (driving one way) with 2 kids under 3 yrs old, to truck back to this registry... super inconvenient and time consuming ????????
Unfortunately I failed my driving test but I will definitely come back here to do my re-examination. The Examiners were very friendly and the staff was extremely helpful as well.
I was in and out in under 5 minutes.
Very excellent registry. Staff were polite and helpful. The examiner was very polite, calm and attentive. They want to see the best driver in you, instead of stressing you and forcing to make mistakes. The best registry in town.
Wasn’t overly friendly service.
I rarely write reviews but I have to say this for the sake of others, DO NOT TAKE YOUR ROAD TEST WITH DAVID. Lemme tell you something about this suspender wearing, depressed Santa Claus lookin' mf, he will find ANY excuse to dock off points. He doesn't get in the car with you to take your road test, he gets in there to fail you. He will purposefully confuse you and will take points even if you succeed at something; not just a point, but LARGE AMOUNT OF POINTS, and for absolutely nothing. 3 other of my friends took their test with this guy before as well and they had the exact same experience as me. If I could give this a zero star I honestly would. This registry scams your money out of you, and since you can't decide who you get to take your test with, it's better off you don't take it here at all, because just know that taking your test with David's Papa-Bear-From-Goldilocks-and-The-Three-Bears headass, you're pretty much signing up for failure.
Very good... line up went fast and the lady who took care of me was very polite and helpful
Worst customer service from an Indian woman (I guess for the tattoos)
I had my road test today and I can say that I passed! My examiner was Pam and she was very nice. She calmed my nerves and made me more confident during the road test! Thank you Pam!!
If you want to waste your time and money, this is the perfect place. The worst customer service experience I've ever seen in my life. This wasn't the first time I was treated like garbage in that place and I still came back just because it's close to home but after today's abuse I make a pledge to never set a foot in that door again. It's not even worth the one star that I have to give. A registry is a place where you should expect costumer service. Avoid this place and look for nearby alternatives
Yes ,this registry Wasn’t overly friendly service , i red the review before i went to them and i dont believe that until i went there and there is a lady on the counter was very rude and the tester for test was very unprofessional, really i dont recommend to deal with this registry.
I had my vehicle plate renewed on July 18th and the employees there did pretty decent job. They are friendly and helpful. Waiting time is minimal. I suggest going to registry in the middle of the month to avoid long waiting time.
This isn't misrepresentation, cuz it's true. My driving instructor was needlessly mean. Explained parallel parking to me like I was a toddler he was talking down to, gave me a failing mark for "parking wrong on a hill that doesn't have a curb" even though he knowingly complained about me being too far from it(i wasn't too far from it), complained about me not passing a cyclist in a culdesac area as I didn't want to risk going into the oncoming traffic lane and get marked for unsafe driving, not shoulder checking when going into a lane that would start by the time I would change into it...the list goes on. The worst part? He claimed my driving was so bad that I "need to go back to driving school", even though my mother, who drove with me several times, said that was utter bull. Even my friends who I told this too said that wasn't the case. This place was a pain for not just my but also for my brother, but this post is long enough already. If I could rate 0 stars for this place, I absolutely would!
I first went to take my class 5 GDL road test at Callingwood registry. I failed twice and the second instructor I got there was extremely rude and made it uncomfortable. I took my last test once at her with Pam and not only did she make me feel comfortable, she helped me believe in myself and get rid of my nerves. She passed me and made my entire day. I would definetely recommend the riverbed registry????
I passed advanced road test at 2nd attempt last week .The examiner was David in both attempt. He is so nice and professional. His observation and fairly marking based on skills really appreciable. Thanks David once again.I suggest to prefer Riverbend registry for awesome customer service and best examiner to conduct your test.
Very unhelpful. Do not bother going here. We went on a Sunday, waited half an hour before our number was called up, just to be told that they don't have anyone working that day who was capable of registering anything for us. That's right, no one working at a REGISTRY was licensed to do any registering. When I asked if the woman "helping" us knew of any registries who could help us today (Sunday), she said "maybe one over at the west end", which sounded as if she didn't actually know and was just making up an answer to get rid of us. She said that they have someone during weekdays who could help us, and when I replied "We can't come in weekdays because we work" she replied, "Okay, so come in on a weekday and someone will help you." I told her, "I just said that we can't come on a weekday because we have work," to which she finally added, "Well some Saturdays we have someone too." We then had to leave as she called someone else's number up. Why bother being open if you can't actually provide services you're supposed to provide?
I took a vision test after doing my driving test and failed the vision test. I originally thought my vision was bad, it turned out either the service guy testing me didn't know how to properly work the machine or purposely had a whole column missing. He then treated me like it was my fault for not being able to read a whole column that was not there, and kept telling me I clearly needed to get my eyes checked. I went back the next day luckily the lady noticed that the one of the eye viewers was turned off so I passed with no issues. I'd like to think this guy was just ignorant and didn't notice his own mistake, but he really could have done without the condescension. I was originally going to give no stars but the lady in the morning was really nice.
My driving teacher was David he failed me for stopping for a J walker. I guess he wanted me to run them over. WOLD NOT GO TO THIS PLACE YOU WILL FAIL.
I did my class 5 GDL road test here today and passed my first try. The examiner was an older man and he was extremely friendly, and marked me fairly. I would highly recommend this place for your road test.
Good. I have been going there for years. The place is usually busy, which indicates demand also good service. I wish they would accept credit cards and not just debit cards, but otherwise the staff has been helpful and informative.
Poor mannerism and unprofessional attitude of the staff. Very non-understanding, uncooperative and rude behaviour. For a moment, I felt being discriminated.
Unfortunately this is our local registry. Terrible experience every time. Very rude and unprofessional staff. They like to close at their own convenience - sometimes 10-15 minutes early. Even said so to a customer who came 10 minutes prior to closing and was being rushed "we open/close by our time". Apparently, they have a time-zone of their own. Same terrible attitude over the phone - rude, judgmental and dishonest. Awful place to get something done, always end up leaving with a foul experience. It is appalling to see the ownership taking no steps what so ever to improve customer experience despite nothing bad reviews. Avoid this place, please.
Had a really great experience here getting my advance class 5. My examiner, Pam, did an amazing job making me less anxious and more confident.
My examiner, Maxine was very good. I took my exam a while ago but I recommend her or Pam (who I've also heard very good things about) to all my friends. It's so often that examiners are not understanding and cause more stress, but Maxine was very calm and reassured me even though it was pouring rain out on that day which caused me some anxiety. Her demeanor gave me the confidence I needed and I'm so glad to have gotten her! I definitely recommend either of these women as they clearly know what they're doing. Thanks again!
Took my advanced road test here, would recommend. Excellent service!
Tried them again after a few bad experiences with them prior which caused me to rate them a one star review.. so today after I figured why not they're close by and it's been a while ille give them another shot.. they have definitely made some improvements. Happy to try them again and report back next time ... 4/5 for now as it was my most pleasant experience with a registry in years.
Customer service could use some attention. Friendly greetings go a long way.
DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY ROAD TEST, THERE ARE REASONS WHY THIS REGISTRY'S ROAD TEST SCHEDULE IS OFTEN VACANT. you'll waste YOUR TIME AND MONEY GUARANTEED for the first test at least. I've been driving very often with the class 5 GDL for 3 years so I do have plenty of driving experience. The female middle aged examiner DOES NOT even comment on your mistakes during the test or even allow you to look at the scoring sheet before the test. She does not even tell you that the cruise control is not allowed. They just let the applicants make mistakes to reach the failure score, that way you'll have to pay them again and they can make a good profit out of it. Customer service is also bad, they want you to come early and stand in the cold while they are not even opened even though the employees are inside. Overall it's just a horrible greedy registry that should not exist.
Their service is not good, most of time waste your time because their employee does not know what they need to regist something.
Took my drivers test here, they were overly strict and failed me despite driving cautiously. DO NOT RECOMMEND TAKING DRIVERS TEST HERE.
Honestly the best service I've had for a registry. Went in to do my basic class 5 test. Their booking procedure is super simple and when I got in the nicest lady helped me out (I hate that I dont know her name but I think she might have been in training). She was quick and fast and put me at ease. I was super nervous going in as I had failed a previous test a week prior in tofield and the instructor berated me and yelled for a good 10 minutes saying "its people like you that cause accidents" and the like so I was already feeling pretty miserable. But my tester was so calm and lovely. She really made me feel confident while driving and gave me ample time to do the things she wanted (telling me way in advance of a turn so I could make an appropriate lane change). We were also able to make some small talk which also I think just made the experience actually fun. The only struggle actually was the eye exam but it turns out I was fogging up the screen with my breath because I was freaking out that i had passed haha! But overall such a good experience! Thank you guys so so much :)
Charged me 30 dollars for a driving abstract I didn't want claimed there was no refunds when I refused to leave without a refund they then offers me half a refund for a driving abstract I never want picked my pocket for 15 dollars serves me right for asking questions about demerits driving instructor here is awesome too bad the manager and cashier's seem to not know there policy know your rights as a consumer nowhere on the paper you sign does it say no refunds no ma'am I asked if my demerits get removed now that I have a full class five and you gave me a form I was very confused and continuously asked what it was I have no reason for needing a driving abstract I simply refused to leave as I had not received my refund it was you holding up the line for not issuing a refund
This place used to be managed by some silly people. One time I wanted to correct spelling on my Health Care Card with my driver license as an approved provincial identification card, but fail. Because they didn't accept drive license. It wasn't professional enough. I confirmed with Alberta health services and corrected through phone call.
Don't do the road test with Maxine. Not only was she late, she's very curt and makes you uncomfortable and nervous. She also doesn't give you adequate advance warning time before giving an instruction to do something. You would think by paying $90 you would be treated a little more humanely and with a better attitude.
Professional stuff and they are helpful
No line ups but service wasn’t clear. Went to update my address and paid that fee but they wanted a new picture so I went back the next day to do it. Just got my license in the mail and it expires in less than a year. Called, the girl and she said it’s not her responsibility to ask to renew unless it’s within 6 months of expiration. So now I get to pay the change off address fee and in 10 months go pay a renewal fee when all my info including my picture was just updated. I would have appreciated doing it all at once and pay less but it not her job to speak up. Not great service but it was fast
I just got my class 5A first try at this location. My examiner is David who is very nice. He made me feel less nervous. Thanks a lot, David. If I know someone is gonna take road test I definitely recommend this place.
Went today to renew my driving license and I had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The person who helped me when I was there was Vagisha. She was the best and really did her best to get the work done for me as smoothly as possible.
I have interacted with a few registries in Edmonton. This turns out to be the best. The examiner on road test was fair, professional, and unbiased. Strongly recommended.
Probably the worst registry in the city. Regardless of the time of day, waiting times are outrageous!! Employees are rude and unprofessional which leaves a bad reputation as they are dealing with your legal documents. The space is disgusting and there’s zero privacy as the different pods/desks are jammed in there. The seating area is far too small with the amount of people that come and wait for their turn. It’s also hard to find the business if you aren’t familiar with the building. Would be nice if there was an exterior entrance rather than an establishment within an office building.
Very friendly staff, no line up and efficient!!
had my road test for class 1 from this registry yesterday and my examiner Maxine was very nice and calm. i would recommend her for those class 1 aspirants with the help of Edmonton Truck Training instructor Jay. cheers and thank you!
Friendly and helpful staff. Short wait times as well. Got my vehicle registration processed very easily with them.
I just passed my road test!! . The examiner Pam was super nice and made all my nerves go away. She was extremely understanding. The people working in the office were also kind and friendly. Thank you Pam !!! :)
Worst customer service. You stand there and are ignored while they chat and do anything but their job. I walked out after standing there for a while.
Very polite, caring and patient staff especially the lady who sounded like she was from Indian, unfortunately I cannot remember her name. I went to Strathcona registry office the day before visiting this office , I left their office because they were impolite and not caring at all. .
I am out of province and needed to wind up my corporation. Fifi helped me out, made it painless and quick. She saved me a trip back to Alberta. Thank you!
I took my grandma in to get ID made for her at this location. The registry has plenty of seating for those that cannot stand for long and the staff was courteous in helping us quickly with our paperwork. They worked efficiently, all while catering to my grandmas needs. I would definitely recommend this location, thanks!
Just did the advanced road test in this registry with Tyler. He is courteous, professional and very thorough with his instructions.
I wish you could give absolutely no stars for this registry. My sister went in to give her enquire about getting her driver's license. The staff gave her wrong information about the documents required. Very rude and unprofessional. I would never go back to this place again. They misguide you and end up blaming you for wasting their time.
Good service and friendly staff. Good place for road tests.
Went there at about 10am to replace a lost drivers license. Expected the usual long waits at such places. Surprisingly there were no customers and I got a replacement in about 5 minutes. The clerk was polite.
Don't waste your time! Go somewhere else. Its been a week since i tried to register my vehicle. The first lady was suppose to get back to me a week ago. She went on vacation without telling anyone. The second lady has told me "tomorrow" for three days now. And now she is gone "tomorrow". Finally I get the manager and she is suppose to have my registry "tomorrow". What a joke! Go somewhere else for your registry needs.
Lost my documents for my son! And money. Horrible people. Marriage certificate gone! Hire new workers! They wont awnser my phone calls. After confirmation with vital statistics. That they Stole from me! Bad service! Documentation gone, dealing with riverbend registry.
Was able to walk in and ask to get a driving test but was told to just get out and try online. When I asked for help they said just go do it.
Been there yesterday to renew my car registration, there was a little line-up but it did not take long to get my registration done. Front end associate was quite fast and helpful. Also this new location is neat, clean and professional. Kudos to new management.
As far as I can remember, booking an appointment for the exam was a breeze. I'm so grateful they were very accommodating. Driver's exam was thorough and the examiner was very professional as well, no drama, no extra silly rules that weren't in the books unlike another registry where my girlfriend went and was asked to stop at a railway (even when lights weren't on) and even when there was no stop sign. This office can get really busy anyhow so I would arrive really early if you can, and avoid peak hours.
I went to renew annual returns and they processed everything fast. They are knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend!!!
I just did my road test and my examinor was really good !
I got an older man for the road test appointment I had, he might have been named David, I sadly wasn’t able to get his name. But, he was awesome! He makes you feel comfortable and the whole process was great and he marked extremely fair. Huge props to this guy! I appreciated every single minute of it. His directions were clear and concise. And he made you feel super comfortable, easing any anxiety you have about the test. He explains things exceptionally and provides good feedback at the end. The other place I went to was Windermere Registry and it was awful. If you are deciding between the two, definitely pick this one! The Filipino lady on the reception desk was also super good! She provides exceptional service and talks to you and asks about regular everyday things which is really kind to do. I enjoyed my time at this place, it will be go-to registry! Great from start to finish! Professionalism and courtesy is top-notch in all factors.
I did my second road test here after failing at callingwood back in October. I went for my class 5 GDL and the tester made me feel so much better. I was scared to do my test and she calmed me down and just made it feel like a car ride. I would 100% recommend this registry to do your test.
I have been there a few times due to various reasons. Every time there was different lady dealt with me however the rudeness and impatience are the same. No professionalism and no respect for clients at all. Worst services by all means. Period.
I have been to the registry several times. They provided us with the Best service every time we were there. 3 of us from the family took Class 4 here with Mr. Gurnam and Ms.Pam, passed at the first attempt. I cant stress this enough that they were so nice and calming. We will keep going back here.
Great customer service I had given my road test with one old men he was so nice to me and as I was so nervous for my test he encouraged me a lot and just because of him I passed my test I don’t know the name but thank you so much sir..
Very helpful and professional. Would recommend to family and friends.
I'm writing this review as I'm on hold with these people. It's been 22 minutes. The music isn't the worst I've had to listen to on hold (elevatortish), but holy hell.. pick up the phone. I was just in here the previous day and it wasn't all that busy. I had to wait for about 10 minutes even though there were open tills the whole time. Maybe they just didn't realize I was waiting since there was no lines or any sort of organization. Im pretty sure they've forgotten about me at this point. Most registry offices ive been to take forever because they have lots of people waiting. I'm fairly sure these people are just lazy and have terribly short attention spans.. Phone call just hit 30 minutes. Hanging up. Ps; I went in to get what they didn't give me the previous day and it was pretty empty, so I'm fairly sure they forgot about me on hold. They did help me right away today though. Then she tried telling me that my vehicle already had the stickers it needed.. Except it didn't. Asked for the stickers and got them, but this was a hassle.
Great friendly staff who provided exceptional service. Highly recommend this registry to everyone!
I have been going to the Riverbend Registry since they had their offices upstairs. No fancy office ,but the agents were knowledgeable and the service was super fast and efficient. Since the new management took over they have their new office on the main level(convenient)but the level of service has gone down hill from day one.Even the most simple of processes is like climbing mount Everest. The agents have to consult with each other, run to the back office, more consultation and they send you away with nothing accomplished.I have been waiting since September 4 for a registration document.Yesterday the agent gave me the number of the Land titles office and told me to phone them myself. Her excuse -Government-takes a long time.I have been back to this office three times already regarding this matter. If you could not do it,why did you collect my money.I have jumped through every hoop you asked for. Yesterday the other Saga was my vehicle Registration.I did not just step off the boat.I have been living and driving in Edmonton for the last 43 years. You do not have to threaten me with the police stopping me and giving me a ticket. No police officer has ever stopped me in 43 years.I am a law abiding citizen and pride myself in knowing the rules and regulations of this country.I do not appreciate being belittled in Public.I guess I gave you a piece of my mind as I was leaving. The staff in this office need to be trained in public relations and efficiency and Government regulations.Honestly the majority I have met are IGNORANT Indira Pillai
Charged more than maximum legally allowed service fee. $25 fee on top to renew my license. What a scam, taking advantage of people.
Amazing service!! The ladies at this location were very helpful and quick to get things done! Definitely recommend!
Had great experience on my drive test. Dave was awesome. Nice patient and explained everything perfectly. Didnt wait long was seen right away. Overall great experience and friendly staff.
Waited with my number for almost an hour- with 2 kids 3 and under, to find out only 1 staff member can change Alberta health care card, so I could wait longer- as there were others waiting for her as well- when is it acceptable to have 30% of your staff fully trained??? So inconvenient-
Took my driving test, passed and then filled my application for my license. I waited for a few weeks before Riverbend Registry called me to explain that they had written the wrong address on the license and that 5hey had sent it to that wrong address. They apologized and told me that I would have to come back in to re-apply but that there would be no charge. I was unable to get to the registry for a number of weeks due to being out of the country attending to family issues. When I returned they told me I would have to pay. For their mistake, otherwise i would not get my license. I would recommend that any potential customers find a registry that can accurately record information, otherwise you may be charged for the registry's own incompetence. Avoid.
Best registry in Edmonton! The examiers taking tests are really friendly and cooperative! They make u feel less nervous! 9109 39 Ave registry is the worst! We took test in riverbend after 39 ave registry...felt like heaven here!
Rude staff, very bad service. The road test examiner, a tall bald old man is pretty unfair, he failed me for going 45 where the speed limit was 50. I drove 30 in playground area and I got 10 points for going slow and when i asked him about the reason of giving me points for those things, he kept lying and just two days later I went to some other registry, and I got my license. If I wasn't a good driver I wouldn't have gotten my license right 2 days later.
I passed my road test today at Riverbend Registry and the examiner (David) was awesome ???? he was so supportive ,kind and fair at the same time Was lucky to had him ☺️
I went into this registry last week to renew my registration, this location a was quick despite a bit of line. The staff was friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend!
This Registry has always been super easy to work with. The new location is much better than the previous. The owners have done a great job in making it more open and ample seating. I have been lucky enough to never have to wait in line and everything I need done is usually done very quickly. The staff is super nice and helpful.
Living in Calgary and visiting some relative for the long weekend (I know I know, its the pandemic and we should be following social distancing). After getting into the city I notice a police cruiser follwing me for a couple blocks. He pulls me over and tells me my license has expired. Totally forgot my license expired in April. Doh! Luckily he lets me off with a warning as long as I get it fixed right away. A quick google search and I found the Riverbend Registries a couple minutes away. Worst part, the registries was closing in 2 minutes. I got there a couple minutes after 6 and I asked if they can help me. Without hesitation they smiled and said “absolutely” The friendliness this location gave me was just splended. I write this review today as I wanted to express my gratitude. If I ever moved to Edmonton, I will definitely come back to this location for all my registries need.
The person who is designated as the commissioner of oaths doesn’t even understand how the forms are filled out
I was getting a Disabled Parking pass as I am on crutches and have a cast. Struggled to the doors and NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE. Staff was friendly and really fast and polite.
Great customer service and very friendly staff
Rude staff, horrible customer service. I would take my business and money else where.
Riverbend Registry road examiner (lady) is worst, Please don't go to Riverbend registry for Road test ever, failing without any reason.
I recommend this location to anyone! Incredible service!
I would give it a ZERO if there is such a rating. Went there several times, and one time it was NOT open although the website says 12 to 4 for Sunday; one time after long line up, I was told the computer was crashed, and could not help me. These could all been avoided, do not waste people's time!
Have been using riverbend registry for many years.always found service to be excellent ,courteous and prompt.just renewed vehicle registrations and drivers license .Thank you Harjit and Fifi !!! Very helpful.
Good customer service by the staff . I did my road test with Mrs Maxine , She is professional and I didn’t felt any nervousness while my road test. I was calm and my road test went perfect and I pass ! I did some minor mistakes and the examiner Mrs Maxine calmly explained everything to me . I highly recommend Riverbend Registry for Road Test.
Does not bother forwarding your forms to gov of AB. Dropped off an application for Alberta Health Care Insurance. Two months later, followed up with Alberta Health who have no application on record, confirmed registry never sent it over. Go elsewhere where they process these forms in-house.
I recently took my Class 5 Advanced road test with Riverbend Registry. My experience was fantastic from beginning to end. The staff were friendly and helpful checking me in, as was my Road test examiner David. It took me two attempts to complete the road test I must say. The first time was fairly marked and I understood I failed. What i enjoyed though was that David took the time after my exam to go through the scenarios i needed to approve upon in detail. Which was not required of him. Therefore my next time in I passed easily with his suggestions. I appreciate everyone at the registry but specifically recommend David for all your road test needs.
I visited this location to open a new Corporation for my business. Rebecca assisted me and was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Great service, keep up the good work!
I has my road test and I passed. my examinator was David . He is excellent.
Unhelpful. Difficult in person. Rude on the phone. Also provided inaccurate information about what was needed to process a transaction. Not recommended.
Always helpful. Great location. I would highly recommend coming here
brutal they are rude and they try to rush you. when you ask a question the response is usually very quick with a finger pointing * go sit there* and seems everything is rushed. i recommend everyone to switch your registry.
Very rude and unprofessional attitude- I went to change of driving licences from UK to Alberta. Lady on the desk put all wrong details and I end up having GDL liences( i have more then 8 years of experience from UK no demerits points). I have tried to explain, in order to rectify the data but she is very rude and said government will sort out!! Now I have no UK licences and got GDL licences inspite of more then 8 years of experience. Its extremely painful and frustrating- I am also a front line health worker professional and will take a lot of time from me to rectify Riverband registry. I will not recommend them to any one.
Great service. Brought my son for his driver's license. Staff was extremely helpful, and covid-19 precautions were in place. Would recommend this place.
This is the worst place to get your license. My examiner was David, first thing he told me before even getting in the car "most people fail their test because they drive a stick". Such a bad examiner and will definitely FAIL you first time.
Went in on a Saturday morning to get my license renewed. No line, excellent service, friendly staff, zero complaints.
I just went for my road test today with pam mam and i m so happy to tell it was my best experience with her nd even i cleared my road test.she was very nice nd gentle lady. I m proud that i choose pam for my road test as a examiner.Everyone should choose pam mam as there examiner in road test. Thnx alot mam for being so nyc
I was able to book my GDl test online. It was a little more expensive then other registries but I think it's worth it. I took my GDL test with Maxine. She was calm and relaxed, gave clear instructions and I was able to pass. The counter people were great to work with.
Detestable service. I wish i could give zero stars. Staff have very little knowledge and seem to think they are entitled to positive feedback even when ab-horribly wrong. Absolutely the worst registry in Edmonton greater area. Go to Summerside registry, its not far and is well worth the drive.
Always Enjoy my interactions here. I find the staff very helpful and polite to deal with. I feel that they are consious and respectful of my time while also being efficient to do everything they can to speed up wait times.
Staff only know how to do things one way and have no idea the steps to complete paperwork that are actually quite clearly laid out on alberta.ca. Bottomline, staff are untrained and unwilling to help.
Very impressed with the staff at the riverbend registry ???????? . I spoke to Rebecca and she was very professional yet personable. I went to get my driving license renewed and I was all done in less than 10 minutes. Highly recommend going to this registry.
We've utilized RR's services for many years. The staff has always treated us with professionalism and respect. My most recent experience was exceptional. It was for a Class 6 motorcycle road test. I arrived a little earlier than the thirty minutes required to ensure I had brought all items requested, as per the e-mail that RR had previously sent me. When it was my turn, the examiner took several minutes to review my information and discuss the parameters of the road test. He patiently answered the few questions that I had (I also told him I was a bit nervous since it had been a few decades since I'd done this) and we then began the assessment. Upon completion of the road test, we returned to his office and we discussed the experience. He asked me how I felt I did. I retraced my ride, sharing my thoughts while questioning a few things, but we mutually agreed I had completed those tasks correctly. However, there was one situation we discussed in more detail, for which I won't mention the specifics of it here. Our discussion about it is what is relevant. The discussion was open and fair. The examiner wanted to know why I had chosen to do what I had done, but also, and maybe more importantly, if I was aware of the situation. I was. We discussed options and scenarios to ensure I understood his perspective, and he clearly indicated to me that he related to and understood mine. In retrospect, this appears to have been a review of my on-road situational judgement. This was an excellent post-road test debrief and where needed, the examiner offered some construction criticism. I must stress that our exchange was respectful and fair. I could tell he wanted what was best for me, and ultimately, the ongoing safety for me and for all others traveling our roads. Ultimately, he approved the issuance of my Class 6 motorcycle license. It was a very good day. :)
I took my road test with Pam and she is really the best. She is a very nice lady, quite, confident and she encourages the driver to gain confidence and drive smoothly. This was the best experience ever. Thanks Pam
The staff at the registry are overall very kind and great to deal with. I took my road test here and I can say I am not a fan of the instructor. I chose this location because his reviews were pretty good and I live near the area, but from start to finish my experience with him was not great. If you are looking for an instructor who will make you feel at ease during your road test, and not make you feel stupid, then this is not the guy for you.
I went to renew my license today and i got excellent services at Riverbend Registry. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I was in and out in 15 minutes.
Just great! Everyone was very helpful, and the lady who I did my road test with was very nice, which really helped my nerves!
All the staff there denied me for GDL exemption to apply and gave false info. Until i got checked with Special team and it worked out.
Horrible place. They just want your money and are not helpful. I went to renew my vehicle registration and they made me pay for my tickets with service charges, before telling me I didn't actually need to renew for another year.
Very efficient staff. Never have to wait long compared to other registries in Edmonton.
- Staff very friendly. - Registering the vehicle was done in 5min. - Booked my wife's C5-B Road Test in 2min. - Examiner was supper gentle, polite and helpful. - My wife was so satisfied that I'm going to book my Road Test on Monday! - Don't waste your energy, time and money elsewhere! - Wishing Riverbend Registry Management all the prosperity they're seeking.
Riverbend registry is an awesome place to get your job done! I am very impressed by the staff’s reception. The examiner Devid is an excellent examiner. He helped me to calm down during my test. I have a severe test anxiety that made me fail several times with several examiners. But the way Devid approached to me that relieved me 70%. I am very thankful to him!!
My son went for the driving writing test today at this office, he was doing the test in an open area and not far away from a very noisey one staff member, she was joking and laughing so loud with other staff member, so my son could not concentrate on this test, my son complained to the office manager about her but he did not take an action, my son was so upset. I think they do it in purpose so they can make more money when the kids redo the test several times..... shame .....shame...
I had a great experience here!! From the staff who were friendly and to my examiner, David, who was very professional and helpful in any aspects! I highly recommended David and this place.
I took my road test here and my instructor was David. He is a very nice man and talks to you to make you feel more comfortable which worked for me and I appreciated that. As long as you follow the rules of the road and drive safely he will mark you fairly.
The ladies here are rude, Unknowledgable and do not care about helping you. This registry is close to home but I definitely won't be coming back again. Can't wait for the windermere registry to open.
Today, I passed my road test with my examiner Pam, in first attempt. She is very nicc, professional. She encouraged my confident during test. She is one of the most talented and experienced examiner here. Thank you Pam????
Really helpful staff! I went to get my name change done i thought it would be a stressful process... but the staff was friendly and very helpful i was done and out of there very quick!
Highly recommend Pam as an examiner for your driving test at Riverbend Registry. She is calm and collective and helped me calm down and not be nervous for my test . By far probably the best examiner in Edmonton.
Wait times are too long. Zero acknowledgement for the people waiting. Clerks are bust doing other stuff instead of helping the 7-8 people waiting. Waited for 25 minutes to renew registration before leaving and going to another registry
Avoid doing your road test with the miserable old man DAVID.I repeat do not take your test with David if you want to pass.He will fail you for being concerned with pedestrian. He such a smart ass and thinks he knows it all.To be honest hes too old and out of touch to be doing this job. I recommend you go to a different registry if you want to succeed in get your drivers license..One last time AVOID THE OLD MAN DAVID & SAVE YOUR MONEY
All of the staff here are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They are very efficient, great service!
Very bad registry the lady over there fails new drivers and does not allow them to pass. She also talk so rudely with me. She should have to be terminated from employment. She also wasted my money and time. Kindly return my fees I will be very thankful to you
Not for dower's consent, very rude to me the three times I have been there. I'm sorry but I would not recommend this registry to anyone. Rude from the phone call to the actual point of service. Go to another registry please! Updated to include comment as per owner response: the two times I have come in, have been pre-pandemic. Still rude. Never again.
Hi I had new experience that they were so kind with us, my car had some problem but I didn't miss the road test. So they advised that reschedule my road test on another day because of this issues. examiner was so kind and folow up.
Excellent services. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff to guide my needs.
Fast and efficient service.
Never had an issue. Staff was always friendly and helpful. I see people going in there ill prepared, trying to get identification, name changes, Alberta Health cards, auto titles, etc. without the proper IDs or proof of address. Folks, if you are not sure what to bring, either call ahead or go online to find out what is acceptable. I sure would not feel comfortable knowing a Registry handed out IDs or important documents to just anyone.
No line up on Friday at 5 pm. Friendly and fast service
Last weekend, I went there to renew my car plate. This is my company car with the car insurance under my company's name. Nothing has changed compared to last year. A service agent told me she could not renew it for me, because my car insurance pink card didn't show my name. I said I could bring her my insurance policy to show my name. The answer was "no, you have to call your insurance company to add your name in the pink card, then I can renew your plate." I finally got my plate renewed elsewhere. Based on my experience, this registry office is not recommended.
Excellent service for over 15 years. Professional and very knowledgeable staff.
Terrible service, would recommend to not use this registry office. The clerks are only out to make money and do not provide the correct information to their clients. Stay away.
Why do they have to be so rude and degrading? If you need customer service i recommend other location
Excellent customer service. Staff was very friendly! Highly recommend !
Excellent Service every time i go! They were quick and answered all the questions i had. Best registry in town.
They shouldn't go to that registry very bad care and the driving test examiner is not an honest person. A very unpleasant experience
It's the attitude that counts. The person assisting me was extremely unfriendly. I needed documents I didn't have to register a vehicle and it was very off-putting the way the message was delivered. The individual wasn't rude but not helpful either.
This by far the closest registry to me and anytime I need something I think "maybe this time will be different" but it never is. They have minimal staff every time I go and when they do get around to taking customers (which is at their extreme leisure) they are the least helpful people I've dealt with in a long time. I waited for over half an hour there and finally had my number called only to be told that they could not update/renew my Alberta Health card. Seriously a waste of time, go somewhere else and give these people a hard pass!
I took my driving test here. Before moving to Canada I drove a lot in India. My driving instructor always says I am a very good driver. But I failed twice just because I get too nervous during the test. Pam was my examiner. As usual I am super nervous during the test. Pam noticed my anxiety calmed me down and the result I passed!!! I strongly recommend her as your examiner.
Very nice and friendly staff. They went out of there way to make a customer happy under these conditions.
Very polite and helpful.
Do not take your drivers test here. It is a scam to get your money. They go out of their way to find ways to fail you, so you have to pay again and come back. The tester will ask you to parallel park in front of fire hydrants, speed through school zones and ask you to parallel park blocking private driveways when people are trying to leave their driveway in their car. As well, they asked a driver to stop in the middle of the intersection to adjust mirror and yelled at driver for trying to pull over first to safety - putting driver and vehicle safety at risk for being hit by another vehicle. Their licensing to test should be removed.
Took my drivers test here as it was the only available location in the area. I had my appointment for 9am and was sent a reminder message to be 30 minutes early. We arrived at 8:30 but the sign said they didn’t open until 9. Waited until 9 just went to the booster juice and McDonald’s and when we asked them about it, the person said they opened at 8:45 it was just kind of confusing. The person also mentioned that we were late when we were there at 9. How were we supposed to be know when to be there? Just confusing. The person who monitored my test wasn’t very pleasant and definitely didn’t ease my nerves with his demeanour. Which is whatever I guess. At one point I was confused when he called the emergency brake the “park brake”. I’d just never heard it called that before when I asked for the clarification he rolled his eyes at me and said “well it’s really called the park brake”. Okay my bad. A couple other things irked me about him just seemed like an old grumpy guy. Overall it was whatever just be aware of the timing thing.
I received a driver license today which is going to expire in 3 days. I was going to use it to travel during Christmas and new year. Now I have to bring my passport all the time. What a great service! When I called to ask what happened, I’m told to renew it again anytime, so I just generated this piece of plastic garbage and I need to buy for another piece of plastic for the environment. Amazing!
Bad service.
I came in there and waited only 3 minutes!.. but the room was full of guys somewhere by 9 peoples, really nice customer services always again my favourite right know:)
I have to admit that the training or professionalism level in this place is frustrating. I have had to come twice to this establishment due to my licence renewal address and each time, the lady at the counter felt the need to lecture me and tell me how it was my fault my licence didn’t arrive. Like thank you lady, I am aware, I came here to FIX that, and not to have some stranger point fingers at me. Both ladies both occasions just felt so entitled to my life. Please, as “professionals”, act as professionals. You are not anyone’s superior and you shouldn’t be imposing yourself onto others. Thanks.
I came into their location to renew an expired license. They had turned me away because I didn't have the required identification to renew it due to being over 6 months expired. That was fine however, when I had returned with all the required identification at 5:50pm they had closed early and wouldn't let me in after calling them and explaining the situation. They were also exceptionally rude about it as well. Their claim was that their clocks had told them that it was in fact 6pm and that was why they shut down early which, in the age of internet, is simply a blatant lie. This is far from the first offense I've had with them, but this will be the last because I will never be coming there again.
I had my road text with David , he's so cool I will recommend anyone to him . I appreciate your kindness David. Thanks a lot .
Excellent service. Very friendly and professional staff. Highly recommend.
Service was good but not so compliant with covid precautions . Although they have all sorts of covid signage, I literally just saw someone walk out without a mask and saw one female staff without a mask. Also saw 2 other staff pull down masks when talking with customers. I don't feel too safe coming in. Guess I'll head over to Windermere registry instead.
Worst Registry ever. They accidentally made a mistake on my brother's driver license as they switch gender. Once I went back to resolve the problem, they did not not only apologize but also made us to pay for the full price again. When I asked them how that happened, they laughed and told us because of his "long hairs" when his hairs are not LONG enough to mistakenly see him as female. I RATHER drive 30 more minutes to go to other registries.
There is a super rude lady working in this registry. If she does not like the customer service experience definitely she should not be working here.
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! I rarely give one star reviews, but if I can I will give this place negative star review. This place is awful. I took a driving road test here and the instructor was an old russian man. He was very rude, very unprofessional, absolutely the worst person I have ever met. For every mistake you make he would comment "wrong, thats wrong" quite loud and quite in your face. Lastly, don't mention you are a student to him because as he puts it "I honestly can't believe that excuse and its quite insulting to my intellect", because I mentioned I was university student and as such could not find time to really practice my skills plus working. This place is the worst, please take your money somewhere else. I passed the exam, but was it pleasant, no!! The man is rude and the registry should reevaluate that person credentials as an examiner. IF THE REGISTRY HAS QUESTIONS CONTACT ME I AM BEYOND FRUSTRATED BY THE UNPROFESSIONALITY OF THAT PERSON.
The worse experience with Registry ever. They miss to submit my health card renewal in two different occasions. Terrible service.
Didn’t get anything done there. Me and my boyfriend went there around 3:30 p.m. on Monday and there were 3 staffs and 3 clients, we got checked in and the lady was very inpatient, asked us question but not in a good manner and then asked us to fill out a form and wait for the other two staffs. The other two staffs never helped us, one got stuck and the other pregnant lady was always on phone, people are getting line ups. The first staff asked us to wait in corner but never tell anyone that we are waiting to get help and people in line kept skipping us and then the pregnant staff just completely gone to no where. We waited 30mins for nothing and we left.
Do not give these people your money!! Drive the extra 5 minutes to Windermere registry , they are 10 times better. I wish I could give Riverbend registry 0 stars, please let me know if there is a way to do that. The woman that helped me at the front desk was extremely unprofessional and was answering phone calls while in the middle of talking to me about my request. She came across as very rude and had no sense of customer service . When I asked for her name to make a complaint she said that they aren't allowed to give out their names. The long lineup was clearly not worth it . A friend told me to try the Windermere registry. I went there and the attendant went over and above to find ways to solve the same issue I was having which Riverbend registries refused to help with.
This was the slowest registry I've ever been to!! They had one person working who was painfully slow at best! I took a number at 3 and by 354 they had only gone through 3 people! I will never use this registry again and encourage anyone else not to either
I have been going to this registry from past two years , excellent customer service , wonderful and helpful staff.
If possible, would give zero stars. Rude employees who have no information about registry services. I wish I could be that bad at my job and still have one. Went there once and never again. Stay away. There are lots of other registries close by where at least the staff are knowledgeable and have an idea about customer service.
Best service with little waiting time! The staffs were friendly and nice to me. The road test examiner, Pem was also very nice and that helped me passed my road test!
Worst experience ever at a Registry office! On March 1, when I renewed my car registration they kept my insurance documents. On March 10th when I called to see if my insurance documents were there Rebecca told me they were in their lost and found. This company didn't even call me or mail them back after having the documents for 10 days. The Insurance folder had my Insurance Brokers name on it so they could have even call there and asked them to call me. Rebecca made out like it was my fault. When I went to pick up the docs after telling her I'd be right there, Rebecca the girl I spoke to had closed and left the office. On Monday March 12 I Spoke to the manager and she said she would bring the documents to me personally and return my service fee. When she brought the insurance documents she threw them at me and told me that she had to do it on her own time and wasn't refunding me the fee. This is the worst registry in the city, go anywhere else! Zero stars for the lying manager Sunita, and Rebecca the employee who didn't stay to meet me when I said I was on my way! Go anywhere else but here, they don't realize that we are tax payers and they are agents for our Government!
