I was charged then convicted for a serious offence because I got involved in bad things. Ranbir Thind was very helpful and effective as he convinced the sentencing Judge to give me minimum punishment so that I am not automatically deported. Ranbir Thind then won my deportation appeal from Immigration Appeal Division who let me stay in Canada as a PR. I and my family are very thankful to him. If you are charged with criminal offence or facing a criminal deportation, Ranbir Thind is your best choice.

our experience with this lawyer was very bad. we went to him for the legal services of the closing of our house. In the beginning he said that his fee would be $500 + disbursement fee ( approx. $200-$300). But it the end he charged us $350 extra hidden charges which were never explained to us in the beginning. when we tried to meet him regarding explanation of the charges , he said there would be extra charges for the appointment. we went to him through our friend's referral. we were very dissatisfied from his service. there was no communication from the lawyer regarding our case, every time we had to call him to ask whats going on with our case, due to that we end up paying 2 days interest on our mortgage. he does not even deserve 1 star. highly dis-satisfied.

I saw few bad reviews posted lately about Mr. Mr Thind and do not agree with them. I see these reviews as an attempt from some competition or extremely demanding customer to spoil Mr Thind’s reputation. I know Mr Thind from last twelve years and used him for my personal legal matters as well as referred him to others. I have received best legal services so did people I referred to him. He is very polite, ethical and a professional lawyer. I would recommend him to anyone. Willing to give him 10 stars instead????

My experience was not good and I 'll tell you why. -------You can skip this part if you do not need the full background---- I applied for a driver's job with Govt Transit in Vancouver. They need driver's abstracts to come directly to them from whichever govt office issues them. Since I ve stayed in Alberta my driver's abstract would need to be either emailed or faxed directly by any Alberta registry to Vancouver Transit. And Alberta govt does not offer this facility online. Either the person can go in person or send a lawyer representative. You cannot send a friend with authorization because in that case they shall give out a acopy but shall not fax it out. It would cost me around 700 CAD if I got air tickets and went to Alberta myself. I could give the same amount to a lawyer and get it done while I do not have to waste my own day on it. Nothing shady, my own verification would have been done by my IDs, payment would have been upfront via email transfer or paypal). ----------End of the background----------------------------- So I called him trying to explain that I needed a lawyer to represent me for a small work at a Registry office. I thought I should explain the background before asking for his services and I was doing that but within maybe half a minute he got impatient and bluntly cut me short and snapped," What are the services you need me for? (the response was in punjabi because we were conversing in punjabi). Well, I found the reply to be a bit blunt and I quickly tried to formulate my request into a single complete sentence, giving him the benefit of doubt that he must be a busy lawyer. I told him I need a lawyer to go to a Registry office as my representative and request them to fax a document for me. He must have taken me to be a street bum because the next thing he spouted out was his rate, 'We don't provide such services. (..any respectful lawyer would have stopped here, but he went on..)We charge $300 an hour for our services, I suggest you find someone cheaper. What could I say in response? I said, "Sorry I wasted your time". In retrospect, I found this person to be arrogant and someone who judges a book by its cover. Just because I talked in Punjabi he thought I was a country bumpkin and there was no money to be made from me. Perhaps he also thought I did not even know what I wanted. That's sad because I had planned my budget for $700 CAD. The exact amount which I would have spent in air tickets and a car rental had I flown to Edmonton myself to do the work. The only difference would have been that not only would I have saved my one full day, but also all the hassle. The work which I wanted done, was a job of 1 hour. This lawyer could have asked $700 and I would have gladly paid because my need was greater that $700. Its not nice to forget being humble. We came from dust and are going back to it.

**TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE** When I spoke with the lawyer he was rude, arrogant, and clearly ambiguous of his job (in addition the receptionist couldn’t find my E-mail), I was trying to explain to him what the situation is but he wouldn’t LITSEN. He responded with YOUR KIDDING ME also YOU CAN ALWAYS ASK ANOTHER LAWYER, ARE YOU A LAWYER?, Gives you attitude as your asking questions, I had to call the other party's lawyer when it is his job. This is not the first property I purchased but it was hell dealing with this firm. I will make sure to post my experience on the Alberta Insurance Institute forum.

Came today for a notary. First time to come in a law/notary for my letter of invitation. I know I made mistake not to bring my husband for notary but the lawyer should replied with good attitude. The way he handles the situation is very rude. Trying to get appointment for the next one but he doesn't want me to get one today because he said "you can't get two appointment." First horrible experience. If he is rude for such a little things how can you trust him. Find another law firm if I where you which I did..I'm with another law firm.judge and associates and they are nice and willing to help you.
