First: Front desk receptionist was awesome!! Very helpful, friendly, and polite. BUT there's a $0.50 surcharge to use your debit card. Sure there's a sign posted on the wall. Not on the debit machine. And they charge 2.99% to use your credit card. Sorry One Stop I will not be coming back. Debit is cash these days, and you will not be gaining me as a customer.

I'm a difficult customer as I have a mix of business and personal registry needs that can be summarized as quite confusing. Over the last few years of being in the Central Alberta region, I have developed a great working relationship with the Red Deer South office and I never leave feeling like we never accomplished what was required to be completed. I would recommend One Stop and would also like to thank Lori D for all her effort in getting me through my rats nest of registry needs.

I recently completed my practical Class III with Q Endorsement driver's test - Michael from MMA Outposts was my examiner. I want to express my gratitude and admiration for how this test was conducted. This test was, shall we say a "high anxiety" experience for me to say the least. Michael, through his demeanor and method of presentation, made this experience as pleasant as could possibly be expected. He spoke to me in a very low-key, friendly and relaxed tone while at the same time remaining professional. He explained things in a very unhurried and clear way and gave me ample opportunity to answer any questions that I may have had. His calming and professional manner made the whole experience as enjoyable as could be expected under the circumstances and I simply wanted to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and admiration for how he conducted the 90 minute session. I expect, in his job, he tends to receive more negative feedback than positive - such is human nature. I just wanted to do my part in trying to change that. Keep up the great work, Mike and thanks!

Waited for over an hour to try book my road test. There were 2 people ahead of me who spent an hour talking to the teller about life rather then booking their road test. Meanwhile 6 people who were behind me were helped and done before I was. When I finally was helped they gave me a permit and told me to do it at home yet they helped the people in front of my and booked theirs then talked for an hour. I’ve been trying to book at test at home for over 2 hours now.

Dealing with Roxana was an absolute pleasure, never in my wildest dreams did i imagine things would go as carefree as they did. My visit for today to renew my drivers licence / alberta health card it was phenomenom . The gentlemen name Michael , he did a lot of patience and searching in order to get it done right to renew my driver license and alberta health card. What he did , he comprehend first what it said into my papers (open work permit before he made a conclusion. He ask me to show it all those documents that may require then . This is it .it was done. Made my day because i can start driving soon and ready to book for my vaccine. Its been so stressful to me that i couldnt renew my driver licence before and most matter my hunan rights to get my vaccine bcoz my alberta heakth card need to be renew also. Now enlighten my life bcoz its all done . Thank u so much Michael for such a great job what you’ve done to me.. your patience to get it done properly accordingly by the policy .. your excellent .

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I took two driving tests with Mike. On my first test, I was going to take a left hand turn when the car in the oncoming lane sped up, I then put my foot on the brake and stopped the car ( not even leaving my lane) and even though my foot was on the brake, he (Mike) also pressed on the break. Which was an automatic fail because apparently "when an examiner intervenes it is an automatic fail" I WAS ALREADY STOPPED. It was my first test I ever took so I didn't fight him on it or anything. Second test we came to the same intersection, and low and behold a car was headed towards us in the oncoming lane, so I waited for the car. I was then told that I thought the intersection was a 4 way stop. No I didn't. I was also told on that test to drive in the bike lane, (not to use it when turning) I WAS TOLD TO DRIVE IN IT. When I asked him if it was legal he said and I quote " it's only illegal if you park in it...you can drive in it as long as you exit out of the dotted lines" He also never made that comment on my report card thing instead he said I was straddling the line. I have never ever straddled the line EVER. When he was going over my test in the end, I tried to explain to him that I did not think I was at a 4 way stop at that intersection, I told him that there was a car coming in the on coming lane ( it ended up turning down an ally with no signal) he said that there was no car and he had no idea where I saw this car. IN FRONT OF US. Hope no one takes another test with this lunatic. Everyone I know now knows to never come to one stop for any of their driving needs.

They are selling road tests with out having the capasity to book them for delivery of services. It's a rip off. If it was any other bussiness they would be fined why is the government allowed to do this. It amounts to fraud.they keep your money for as long as they want without booking a road test.

I originally went Friday Aug 6 2021, I could not complete my transaction as my mom's address needed to be updated and she would have to be present to do that. Lori was kind and sincere when she apologized and explained what my next step is, to bring my mom in. My mom has serious mobility issues and Lori said when we get there the next day just come straight to her office. The next morning I brought my mom in, Lori met us at the door, held the door for my mom and took us right to her office and completed our request very quickly. Lori is kind, compassionate, very knowledgeable and an absolute delight to work with. She gets an A++++ in customer service.

This is the only registry closest to where I live and I wish I had other options. Every experience I have had at this registry has resulted in some form of mistake on their behalf that results in me coming back constantly. I arrived with a name change application to submit (with fingerprints from the RCMP, as per the requirements) and suddenly I was told that the fingerprints were not valid. This information was not communicated to the RCMP so the station said that the fingerprints were valid while the registry claimed they were not. They then proceeded to CHARGE ME ANYWAY, keep my application and birth certificate and then they MISPLACED my birth certificate!!!! I then had to wait TWO DAYS for them to locate my file with my original birth certificate that they then returned to me. After my application had been processed by VS in Edmonton I was contacted saying that my birth certificate was SUPPOSED TO BE MAILED WITH THE APPLICATION!! This means that the registry not only lacked communication with other sources for applications like this, but they lost my birth certificate and then sent it to me instead of mailing it to Edmonton which is THEIR JOB IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! Every time I walk in their door i always know I will leave upset, dissatisfied, and with my time and money wasted. Find a service that does the name change application process for you in person because this registry is sure to do it wrong, lose things, and downright waste your time.

My name is John and i just had my road test for Class 5 this afternoon 1:30pm-2pm. the first time i entered in the office, i was well assisted by the girl at the front desk. she is very friendly and accommodating. the system in their South office is really great. i haven't been to their North but i can really compare the difference between other registries here in Red Deer since i've been to 3 different place this month in processing my license especially when it comes to COVID-19 protocols. i would really like to commend all the girls working there earlier. all of'em are very nice and friendly but i forgot to ask their names. but of course, the person who really made my visit a 100% satisfied was Erica (i dont know if i got her name right) who was my examiner that time. she is very very nice. strict and straight to the point during my exam but that's part of her job of course. she was very nice from start till end. she is really knowledgeable and willing to share every details and willing to answer all questions about my exam. would recommend this branch to all the people i know here in Red Deer

We had a rather complicated few issues to deal with on Saturday and was quite apprehensive about getting them done as we're leaving on holiday and don't have much time. Having phoned ahead and being put though to the Branch Manager, we were invited to ask for her. Well, what a pleasant surprise! This lady is super competent and so friendly and professional! She had us sorted out and on our way in no time at all, her level of customer service is a novelty in today's "you're just a number" world. They screw up so much. Have no idea what they are doing. I would advise not to use one stop north or south. Because of them we paid for registration and it didn't show up on our vehicle and we received a ticket. I will never use them for anything ever again!!!!!

I have had so may problems here the staff are 50/50 some good. some not good at all. Im done using this place. i could not re register the new truck i bought from ford last year due to an error on there part. My wife's name was on the registration and so was mine. But i could not renew because she wasn't there with me and then i had to prove she was an owner of the truck. Well guess what shes not. I am the owner. So theres the problem. The registry should be in my name and not shared. I waited for over 2 hours. Such crap

The employee who we had to deal with was rude. They lost(blamed back on, sometimes us and sometimes, AB government) our papers and issued us wrong class of license. Wont admit mistake and was arrogant. A simple sorry would have made it, but no. We dont care. I agree with other poster here. Some staff are good but most are just plain arrogant(god knows of what). Arrogant. 'Who the heck are you, I know better' attitude toward customer. Lack of knowledge. Stay away.

I just moved here from BC so the way insurance etc is done in AB is completely different. The lady who helped me was super pleasant, had answers to everything I asked. I also really appreciated how quick it was to get everything done, from signing in to leaving was approx 15 mins in total. Would recommend!

Been going to one stop for years. If you're going in to do any kind of test. I would advise against it. I was put in an over crowded room with people taking around me. When I complained I was told. "When checking air brakes you always have noise around you." I've never done a test that requires you to it under pressure. Needless to say, they've lost my business.

I can see why people are posting negative remarks. Sometimes they are friendly but other times, they are quite unfriendly. Most soften up when you crack a joke, so I think they just have low morale. Still I had given them a fair rating before but what got me mad is they took the wrong photo size for government ID. I went back to them to ask they redo the photo. They wanted me to pay another $21. Outrageous. Go to another license place instead.

Lori is so rude and has no idea what she’s doing. We had explain the to her that your drivers licence number is different that the number just on an identification card before she could finally give us the right one. Then told us another thing that was untrue and resulted in us having to wait for an extra two months to get what we wanted when it could have all been done before hand. She has the worst customer service I would give zero stars if I could. However and of the other lady’s are amazing nice and show what good customer service is. Lori could learn a thing or two from them.

Lori Deduke assisted me today at the south side One Stop in Red Deer. It was a great experience and we were able to work out an issue regarding my license renewal. Under, "conditions" there was nothing reported, yet the "C" was on record. She then explained to me that there needed to be an explanation for the "C". I didn't know this. With a couple of questions she asked me we found the answer and with a quick call to my doctor all was resolved. And as I'm now needing glasses to drive she explained to me that being caught driving without my glasses could have legal consequences and I told her, " I understand". Though it was a little longer visit than anticipated I am very grateful that Lori took the time to explain things to me and to make sure things were done right. And at the end of my visit I had left my vehicle registration and insurance inside, but Lori chased me down in the parking lot as I was about ready to drive off without it. That's going above and beyond to help your clients. I have used this One Stop here in Red Deer many times and their staff has always been efficient and professional in helping me and others with their needs. I am especially thankful for Lori's efforts today in getting my license renewal complete. This goes to show that their is a great management team in place and a great staff willing to go the extra mile to see that the job is done right. May the Lord bless you all in Jesus name. Sincerely. Do not go here. They charge a Interact transaction fee that is high. There is no need for it and none of the other companies do! I find their staff rude to Ok. Overall I really do not like the owner who has done nothing for the community.

Disappointed I can’t give ZERO stars. This place was awful. Full of the most inept people I have ever encountered. My only guess is they are being paid to stop the office chairs floating away. My wife and I both visited today to get licensing updated. We both stood side-by-side, at neighbouring counters, and each of us was given different answers and outcomes. All this culminated in one of us getting our license and the other being refused. Despite us both having the same I information. The thing that grinds my gears the most is that these folks role at one stop, first and foremost, is customer service. They have one job to do. Assist a customer. Instead of offering solutions, we were met with blank and gormless glazed over eyes when anything is presented other than what’s on the flow chart on front of them. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Needless to say, I’ll never be back there. If anyone is interested, go to the other site on the north side. A little busier here so plan ahead. Well worth it though. Staff are amazing. Nothing is too much drama. Keen to help. Couldn’t say enough good things about them.

My husband and I went to the one stop south about a month to get his learners and we submitted his abstract from Ontario so he could take his road test. We stopped by last Saturday since we were in the area to get an update on his file since we haven’t heard anything back from this location. They were already closed but the staffs let us in and the lady in blonde short hair was very helpful and knowledgeable. First time seeing her at this location. She told us that my husband’s date first license was not updated on the system and the office does not have a copy of the abstract from Ontario anymore, at that time we were very upset because we thought that we needed to get another abstract from Ontario which took us a year to get it. But the lady was very helpful. She said not to worry because even without the abstract there’s another way to do it. She told us to come back during business hours and we did today. She assisted the other staff on what to do since she was busy with another client and we were able to resolved the issue. She was the only one in this office who was willing to help us, and very knowledgeable. did everything to make sure our situation is resolve since we’ve been in and out at this location. We went to different registries as well but they said there’s nothing they could do. We’ll only use this location from now on thanks to that lady.

Great staff. Went for my Advance class 5 road test and He was great. I got a few things wrong but he was willing to teach and explain and therefore I learned from my mistakes. Definitely recommend going there for your Road Test.

I would say that we had the best service experience here when We visited the One Stop Shop located 3340 50 Ave., And it was Michelle who assisted us. We are new in Red Deer and she was able to process necessary documents like our Alberta Health Cards and Transfer of Driver's License and Car Plate from another province. It was smooth and auick service that we had so Thank you Michelle and I hope you'll be able to help more people.And Keep it up.

Painful process to register a new vehicle. Mistakes were made on data entry (VIN number and name typos) and she took forever trying to fix it instead of just asking someone for help. Although very nice, this clerk was elderly and probably not best suited for the pace and data entry / IT skills for this position.

Our company goes to this registry once in awhile and I would have to say that was the the only day we felt someone knows what their talking about. Ruby was very knowledgeable, friendly and sense of humour. Some staff was a little bit rude but Ruby lighten up the mood. Helped us with corporation and commercial registration and very knowledgeable on this matter. We’ll use this registry for our commercial and corporate matter. Ruby is highly recommended.

I had a nice and fair instructor, Brent, who made me feel comfortable in my Advanced Drivers Test and provided me with great tips after as well. Lori and her team worked extra hard to help me, as there was an issue with processing my drivers license and they didn’t stop helping me - although it was neither their or my issue, they made sure I got what I needed in end.
