Literally the worst registry in calgary. Everyone I have talked to about it has said the same.

So far the worst registry to go to. Came to have our plate number cancelled because we sold the car. I brought a valid ID, my wife's driver's license and an authorization letter but they wouldn't want to accommodate me. It's always inconvenient to go to this place. I can't believe they even got 2.5 stars rating.

My experience was nothing but positive. Pulled up, there's a big sign on the window to text them and they will let you know your place in line. Got a text right back, and within a few seconds they were ready for me, they even text you which counter to go to. The agent I dealt with was very nice and effective, was done within a few minutes and that was it. I would definitely come back to this registry.

Getting things done here has been frustrating every time I go. 2 of the times I had to "come back later" and wasted a lot of my time. I'm going to change locations next time. I believe they are ethnically Korean and communication has been difficult as they don't understand what I'm saying even if I speak slower. This isn't discriminating as Calgary is full of new immigrants and foreigners but when the entire staff is like making things hard for customers, something needs to be done. The staff lack of competency, knowledge, training below standard and is not ok. Every time I go, the people helping me always has to go ask someone else for help and causes line ups due to being slow

I have been to this registry twice . Both times service was great and both times the tellers were kind and respectful. The line up was quite long but moving quickly the first time I visited this registry. The second time there was no line up at all. Sweet! I’m happy they opened their business in our community as it saves me the drive to PLATES country hills. Not loving that place.

Waited 40 min, but the service was rude and without any patient even you are being super polite. Don't waste your time there.

This place is OK. You have to text your name to a phone number posted on their front door (no walk-in's allowed, which can be frustrating). When you text the number, it gives you an approximate service time and tells you how many people are ahead of you. You have to wait outside/in your car while waiting. I went on a Monday late afternoon and my estimated wait time was 30 mins. After about 40 mins, I received a text saying they were ready for me and that I can enter the place now. Upon entering, a lady at the counter called out my name and I was then helped. Overall, an OK experience. I don't really understand why people can't just walk in (COVID?).

This is a horrible registry. Their staff need Tranning and for refunds you will have to wait for e-transfers. Honestly go to any other place.

Went to renew my license and change the address on it. First time they entered my address wrong despite me giving them an envelope with the address, went back to change it again and they charged me stating it was my fault, ok fine. Finally received the card and the expiration hasn't been updated. Don't waste your time (or money) here.

My experience at this registry was awesome. The girl who registered our company from Manitoba to Alberta is so professional and efficient. I wish I could post her name here as she went beyond her duties to assist us. I live In ne but will prefer now on to have 30 minutes drive and visit this place for further services. All the very best girl. I wanted to give her few bucks for appraisal but was not sure if it’s appropriate or not so i did not.

Processed health cards for myself and my son with the wrong spellings of our surnames. To make it worse, it was different spellings for the both of us (and we have the same last name). This was done despite sighting originals and making copies of documents bearing the correct names. Update: Went into the office with my documents to have these corrected and one month later I have still not gotten the new cards only to call them today and find out that the changes weren't effected and I would have to come in again. Wish I could give zero stars!

I had a very complex and rare request that needed to be taken care of at a registry for a vehicle settlement. They worked very diligently, acurately and hard to ensure all of my required paperwork was in order and ready for submission. This was a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend this registry office.

Terrible experience. Staff lack the knowledge and experience to effectively help customers. They don't explain the process or the costs to you clearly. Rude interruptions from another staff member which complicated our transaction.

The staff at this registry is friendly and efficient. They got us in and out in a reasonable amount of time without making us feel pushed. I would go out of my way to use this registry whenever possible. And it wasn't too busy considering it is a Saturday afternoon.

Very bad registry !!!! unorganized , they pick and choose who they like and who they don't , I took my drivers test twice and was both failed by two different people for two completely different reasons. My first experience they thought my brand new car was stolen and i was under 18, they seemed to find anything to fail me. I put in a report with transport Canada and heard NOTHING!!!! My second experience was a month later and they thought my plate was stolen. Each examiner has their own set of rules and their own agenda, they judge you the moment you walk through their doors. These examiners treat you different if you re scheduled your appt , they will pick at you even harder. Why does each examiner treat each person differently??? am I following the governments rules on driving or am I following the examiners rules on driving.. Absolutely not fair!!!! I will take my business somewhere else where people are treated equal !!! Update: may 2021 I heard back from transport Canada, they blamed me and did not take any accountability for there actions, the driver examiner lied and I was told I complain to much.

The worse registration ever. Staff struggle with English communication. They have no clue what the heck they are doing. I had to return 3 times because they made mistakes and couldn't understand their own mistake. Went to another registration store after dealing with them after the 3rd time. I was in and out in 5 minutes. If you can, avoid these jokers, they will most likely waste your time.

I took my road test today and I PASSED! Thank you to the examiner Addison who help me loosen up the tense before I started the test. I know it’s not easy to pass a road test, but loosing tensity is a huge aid for a new examinee like me. It was an amazing experience to feel confident and relax during an examination. Super easy! I went in today to renew my D/L. They have big signs on the door and windows asking that you text your name to join the lineup. Then you get a text with your estimated wait time, which you can refresh. I waited in my car for about 15 minutes. The employee who helped me was friendly and professional.

Signed up for text que. Waited and hour in the car. They closed without calling me up. That basically sums them up, you're better off sign up for the que and finishing off errands and such. They might call you up. Wasn't it a great idea to privatize this?? Good work Alberta ????

Convenient location but would rather travel to avoid the horrible professionalism and service. Staff lack the skills and competencies or are untrained. Completely botched a name change and takes forever to complete renewals. Stay away from this registry.

Very bad service, they ask you to text your name and wait outside. Waited for over 45 min then when I went inside to ask how long more I should wait. I was surprised when I found out they serve the people waiting in the line inside before who registered their numbers and we're waiting outside.

System to join que does not work on Android phones. Staff were very rude when asked if it was possible to join the line in a different way.

No issues. Can’t understand why ppl give low stars for “standing in the sun”. What the hell are they supposed to do about that? And others about “they talk amongst themselves”, ok, so you don’t talk to your colleagues at your work? Good grief. Rate for its purpose and value to you. I find them quick, efficient and convenient. It’s all I want, don’t need to be coddled or wrapped in a warm blanket with a hot towel. I want to re-register my car, chat amongst yourselves while I read my emails.

Experience at registries in times before have been not so hot and even stressful . I’ve used there services at this location or the last 3 years . And they are all very good at what they do . Their system for waiting is incredibly efficient. It is an awesome experience every time . I live in Airdrie now and I will continue to come to this location ????????????

This is by far the worst customer service I have experienced at a registry. The staff are unfriendly and unwilling to help or check any information for you. They ask to text them and wait outside for an hour and then you wait again inside where it is crowded. The staff are terrible and don't want to help you. Everything is run poorly.

Horrible. You text your first name to join the line. No estimated wait time, no updates, nothing. After two hours I texted them to cancel and told them that it was insane. Four hours after I first started the process the robot started texting me to come in and would not stop. Don't go here unless you have an entire day to waste. You can't post with no stars so I had to give it one.

The wait time was very minimal, and the woman that helped us was very kind, knowledgeable and efficient with processing all the documents/licenses that had to get done with moving provinces. I have been here 3x and it's been a pleasant experience each time I've gone.

Unbelievably slow. A guy ahead of me was told that they could not process his corporate documents because the one person who deals with that “was on break”. He had waited an hour in line only to be told to come back later. Unacceptable. 4 employees behind glass “working” and only one guy being “served” with a line up out the door and around the corner. Unbelievable.

If I read through the reviews, I wouldn't come to this location. The service and waiting time is as bad as you can imagine. Weekday noon time is one hour waiting under the sun to access into the office. There were 4 staffs in the office today, but they really took their time to chat with each other while doing paperwork. I went to another register office, which is only 10 minutes away, and it was only 5 minutes waiting and staff were way more friendly and knowledgeable. Drive away to another location if you can!!

My son went there for his road test so because of Corvid he had to text and wait outside for them to tell him when to come in We sat outside for a while Then he got a text to come in when he went in the instructor that’s it is doing the road test says he can’t do the test anymore because it’s past 15 minutes when we got there before the time of the test and had to wait outside ... very bad service very bad instructors Very unfair 90 something dollars went down the drain just like that in these Covid times when people doesn’t even have jobs..

The only reason I wanna give this registry 5-star is because of their online queue system. Man that saves you so much time and I dont go to any other registry. I live nearby so I get in queue by texting from home. When they message they are almost ready, it takes me 5 mins from home and I get to the registry.

Not sure what this registry is doing about the poor reviews but the staffs here need to be trained and knowledgeable about the services they render. As a result of lack of knowledge from the staff am having to pay twice for a drivers license renewal. It’s even worse when they argue with you without having the right information ????‍♀️????‍♀️

Been there today. It is a bit cramped, with COVID I would like to see a bit more space between people, but it is a tiny place so their options are limited. They do have separators between customers and staff as well as between customers at the service counter. They also call you in via text message to prevent too many people from being there at the same time. The service was fast, good and friendly.

Used their online line up system and was asked to wait 40 minutes and my spot was at 10. 30 minutes later. My spot was still at 7 and have to wait another 20 minutes. Drove to another registry and got my service in 2 minutes without line up

Worst customer service ever! I called before I came in to see if I could get my vaccination passport printed and they said yes. I then waited in the queue for over half an hour to be told when I got inside by the manager Victoria that she was not able to pull my information and quickly tried to tell me there was nothing she could do to help. What a waste of time! Your staff needs to be trained and learn how go handle customers! If you can't provide a service than be upfront and not waste people's time! I will not be returning to this location ever again! You should also hire a new manager!

If I could rate 0 starts I would. They made us wait 1 hour in line just to say we need to sign in before hand. Nothing is clearly posted and the staff is not helpful at all. They also don't seem to know anything. They lack of training experience and costumer service. Awful awful service definitely not recommended.

This place is ridiculous. They charge extra if you want to use a credit card. They are also really inexperienced and are much less knowledgeable than other registries. Take your business elsewhere people.

I wish I can rate ZERO stars. Eextremely rude, arrogant, lack of knowledge. I have never seen such rude people. What's wrong with them? If you don't want to waste your time, stay away from them. I learned they can't help me due to their lack of knowledge I went to the other location which is in the Northhill centre, people were nice, friendly and with adequate knowledge. All the problems are solved instantly by them. This is the nearest registry from my house but will never go back there unless all these workers improve their knowledge and attitude, plus eliminating their money grab mindset.

Came here to renew my registration on my vehicle. Wait time was reasonable, service was good and accurate. I really cant say anything bad about this location. All the negative reviews kind of make me laugh, its a registry, you need to have proper paperwork and information when you go to be helped.

I arrived at 10 AM and put myself on a waitlist. It said I was 10th in line and estimated my wait time as 20 minutes. No problem. I went to Co-op and did some grocery shopping. I was 5th. Looks good. I went to the liquor store and did some more shopping. I was 6th. I'm unsure how this is possible but I'll let it slide. I went to my car and sat in it for 30 minutes. I went from 5th. And then back to 6th. The time was 10:45. I drove to another registry. I was 4th. At this point I was curious to see where this maelstrom of misery led me so I stayed in the virtual queue. I finished what I needed to get done and left the other registry. I was 5th. More than 75 minutes after I started my 20 minute wait, I recieved a message telling me I could go in. Just go somewhere - anywhere - else.

Loved the text message system. You need to text your name to join the queue and after I texted my name, I received a text message to come inside after 5 minutes. I love this system in this COVID environment. Staff who helped me was very kind and had all the knowledge for all my questions. Since this registry is located in a residential area, it is always busy but looks like they are doing their best to help the Albertans .

The worst customer service registry. I waited 50mins to be served and to be told I can’t write my knowledge test because cut off is 5pm, while I stood there in the registry with 5 service advisers chatting and waiting to get off work , at last it was my turns and it turns out I can’t also find out if I can register my motorcycle. They should really put their understanding of customer service and make it a good experience and I am sure I am not the only one that had this happened to them. And I was nice enough to help one of the lady that works there to help boost her car and that is what you get in return. Not even about customer service anymore just plain old terrible workers. Wonder if the owner knows the way they work that is mystery.

Took my advanced drivers test with Rene and he was amazing. Extremely fair and understanding. Made it a very pleasant experience. 100% recommend. Also, you can text the registry when you arrive and they will text you when they are ready for you! Very covid safe!

If I could give them -5 stars I would. They suck and have no common sense, stay away from this registry office because you will waist your time in line and send you away for the stupidest reason. I’ve never been successful in the past 4 visits. Go to any other location except this one. Lame.

I had the most awesome and efficient service at NW Registry while accessing their services for becoming a limited corporation. Kavis was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. Horrible service, don't bother leaving your house to stand in the queue outside in the sun. There are other bigger, better serviced registry within a short distance in NW Calgary. Don't know how they make licenses to operate as well as are there any ombudsman who check the operations of these people. Horrible people

worst experience ever. The only thing I asked was closing my company, and I asked a couple of questions about company closing. Then the staff gave me three papers asking me to read and sign. Those were information about names and addresses — all correct so I signed and paid. Then she only gave me a receipt and said nothing. So I asked her how do I know whether the company is closed or not. She said she DIDN’T CLOSE it, she RENEWED it. There were about 7 staff there, and she said none of them could do the company closing, only one agent who occasionally worked there knows how to do it. and I have to call before I come to see if that person is there . I also been told I couldn’t get any refund because I already signed the paper. At last she returned a little amount of processing fee, but not the rest. I ended up going to another registration office and solved all the problems in less than 10 minutes.

They were very polite as opposed to the other reviews here. While I was there, someone came in who was a tad brash with her request. But the staff were calm and polite while attending to her. So maybe every client has a different experience. But I found them pleasant and helpful

very bad experience here. In my vehicle renew, asked me to send name to them before serving me, although I was already in their office and four staff free with only two customers. So had to text them face-to-face and I was exactly the next one to be served. Really unnecessary in that situation and so ridiculous!! Staff need to be trained for customer service.

I have had so many frustrations over the years with other registries in the area so it was really nice that in the last few times I've gone to NW Registry for vehicle registration, notary public, our kid taking her learners, etc, the staff have been super friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help. I've called to ask questions and they always pick up the phone quickly and address your questions efficiently.

Bad customer service. I called to ask for documents needed to issue an ID. The person on the phone was not happy to listen to me, and wanted just to tell me what he wanted to say. He slammed the pone after I thanked him without saying a word.

Make sure you confirm every process or it may get missed, went to update my license and the girl there submitted the information without even asking to update the photo.

Wait time: average nothing to complain about. Concerns: I have received one of the worse experience dealing with a staff member “Sona or Sonya” can’t remember exactly her name due to her poor communication skill. When I asked her a question. I feel like I am getting yelled at every time for asking. She’s very unprofessional and rude. I going in as a client needing service. I believe I should receive good customer service. Who ever own the store or manage the store need to train that girl proper customer service and her attitude. “Hope she’s not a manager or boss” The other staff member seem quite patient helping other client guess I was not lucky that day. I had to deal with someone with bad attitude. Recommendation: “boss or manager should have a feedback box for the office”

Went there on Saturday and texted my name. I was 8th in line to be helped. 2 hrs later finally got called in to wait 25 more mins. Only 2 staff working on a Saturday at end of month. Another of passed off people there.
