My experience with the examiner Mr Balkaran is extremely good he was very nice nd I wasn't scared during my driving test.i feel very relaxed and comfortable with him and he talks with me friendly He is professional. I went there this morning. A lady at the counter was so rude. She was taking in a way like made a mistake. I was standing right in the front and she suppose to do my paper work but instead of that she was filling a form for someone else
Unprofessional driving instructor. Before getting in the car I was greeted by the instructor to “Cmon start the machine let’s go” in a rude tone. Couldn’t even do my walk around the car in the beginning because of him. There’s a reason the reviews here are 2/5 so I highly recommend you go anywhere but here. Unprofessional.

I was there on Saturday to register my first vehicle in Alberta. Even though the line was long it moved very quickly. The agent that handled my transaction was very helpful,professional and knowledgeable she was able to answer questions and advise me about future transactions I will need to do here as I am a new resident. I was extremely happy with my visit and will definitely return to this registry in the future.

The staff is very cooperative espacially Mr. Dodd. During my road test, I was a bit nervous but Mr. Dodd made the instructions so clear that all my nervousness went away and made me feel confident and pass the test. The entrie staff is very helpful.
Registries can be a nightmare... but this one was not. Better than their old location. This location is open concept and bright lighting. Staff is pretty friendly and turn what could be a terrible experience into something thats manageable. Haven't had a super long wait, at this registry in this location, yet. The old location was crowded and they didnt have enough desk space so wait wewre bad. New location.. new outlook.

Honestly the worst experience ever, the intructor was so rude as soon as I walked through the door, very unprofessional.
We were there for a road test and they were 16 minutes late to the scheduled test. We didn't complain and waited. Since they were already behind schedule they started rushing everything. My friend already got in the vehicle with the instructor and then the examiner noticed the vehicle registration was expired. I already had the new sticker on my plate but just forgot to bring the new paper with me so I asked can I run in and quickly get a new copy (I was willing to pay the extra fee for that). There was no line up so the lady started processing the new registration paper and then the examiner came in and started saying we were too late we cannot complete the exam now since he has other clients waiting. We politely tried to explain that they were already late with us and my paperwork renewal was only going to take 1 minute to complete. Then this other woman kept telling us "you have to pay for another test, this one will be forfeited". She would not listen to any of our reasoning and kept repeating the same line. If the examiner or the clerk cared to check our paperwork while we were waiting, all could have been handled on the spot in 2 minutes. As a result $91.50 went down the drain without even having the chance to try a road test. They said they could reschedule again on the same day if we paid another $91.50. Thanks for nothing. I'm never going there again!

Horrible customer service and the attendants don't seem very educated.i went to have government ID but had a abandoned vehicle charge so I was told by small Asian lady I could not get it unless I paid..I went to Argyll services location and the clerk there did an over ride and I got my ID..they were friendly and very helpful at Argyll but the Millwoods registry lady was lazy and rude..she could have done the same thing as the Argyll location but she wouldn't..made me question her motives..she really wanted me to pay the fine when it had nothing to do with getting basic government ID. Never go there.
Terrible customer service I came in with a friend to renew a business, we took a number and sat down 20 minutes later our number is next, then a lady walks over and says were closing now and wont be able to help you. In what world does a registry make you waste your time like that. Absolutely horrible service.
My wife made her road test here. Before we got there, we had a collision on our way to the registration office, so we had to go back home and switch the car, for that reason we were 5 minutes late and when we meet the examiner he start to yelling us that we were late, so I tried to explain why we were late and he told me " I don't care your problems, you have to be here on time" and I told him, I just want to explain to you what was the reason why we are late, and again he told me " I just told you, I don't care your problems". Then he took my wife for the road test. My wife told him that she doesn't speak English very well and he told her "that's not my problem, this is Canada you should speak English". My wife told my that he was yelling her all the time when she was doing the test, so she was very nervous and angry at the same time. Obviously she failed. What kind of examiners are at this registration office? And the ladys at the front desk are very rude all the time. This is my closer office but from now on I'm gonna use an other office.
Fast in and out. Simple straightforward process to renew my yearly registration. Fee was $93. All health and safety guidelines were in place and followed. Parking outside was sufficient.
I wish there was an option to give less than 1 rating. Advice - Go to other registries, save efforts and save your money as these guys are a profit making business. New drivers - Never book your road test with them, go to summerside registry instead. If you still want to go, read each of the policy and eligibility requirements carefully. But that's not enough as there are many grey areas so go one day before and recheck on all these policies personally with the examiner (not agents, they are clueless). Because they can use these grey areas to cancel your test alongside claiming your test fee. After that if you get to the test, good luck ;) If you face any hiccups at MR, trust me the resolution will be in their favor as these registries work privately and independently. Millwoods is anyways known to exploit customers and they do not care about their internal miscommunication and misconduct. Below is answer to your comment:- Firstly, I have said it tens of times, now mentioning it here again as you are trying to be specific. 1. The regulation said non factory tint not allowed. Your examiner said no tints are allowed. He was not even aware of the factory tint regulation. 2. The tint came as it is in the car I brought. It was a new car and came company fitted. 3. The further conditions of the tint you mentioned came as a new surprise as they were not given in the policy. 4. I raised issue same time at the registry, no manager took the pain to come out and see the car, later when I complained they said bring the car so that they can see, while the car was not mine and not with me anymore. 5. The manager was extremely rude in handling this and I have told you this many times but obviously you don't bother. 6. Zero concerns on client complaint and all the focus was on rebooking the test with additional money. 7. Overall customer service was unpleasant and staff/examiner was not well informed.
The Indian lady was rude and not giving my time to complete my knowledge test on computer they have to change their attitude
Hi there I did my advance test with Scott and according to me he is polite and won't mark u down for silly reasons but still as a examiner he has to b strict when on a advance test.actually this wasn't the first time, my previous examiner was a Indian guy named vipin(i guess) from delhi and he was so annoying and frustrating, coz he was yelling at me and was trying to make me nervous, "yelling is not your job Mr. Vipin" if u see that I'm making mistakes then mark me down that's it, if ur having problems in your life then quit coz ur working where customer service really matters n if u can't control your emotions then I'm really sorry to say that,"u should quit". Note:- This guy he never mentioned his name like the other examiners B4 going on a road test.

Worst experience At a registry I've ever had. They are all privately owned and this one is a mess and it seems like they treat everyone like they're passing through on a conveyor belt and the examiner, Scott, is rude and is a person with an obstinately uncooperative attitude. I will never step foot in there again and will definitely advise anyone I know to avoid this place. Bad customer service, yelling while taking a road test, 11 minutes late for my next one due to my sick child and the place was dead at 9:11 am and refused to help me. No one gave two $h!7$ about my morning and how I raced there on busses, ran from the bus stop came in their panting and already stressed but no desire to help me out or cared that I blew another $91.50 on the test. The sub contractor through the regitstry, Scott, was recalcitrant and decided without just cause that he was somehow entitled to keep a fee for services which were not rendered. This is a cash pit, feel free to go if you like to waste your time and money.
I passed my roadtest today,. My experience with examiner Mr. David was extremely good. He was very calm and I was not scared during my driving test as he talks to me friendly. I feel relaxed and comfortable with him. He is very professional, punctual, honest and fair. He tells you exactly what you did. Overall it's awesome time. I highly recommend them for all your driving tests. Thank you Mr. David and keep up the good work.
They had a separate line for registration renewal. Less then 5 minutes and I had paid and left. No extra .30 cent charge for debit. As the one on 91st and 38th Ave. Would go back.
I gave my road test wit Scott here.. He is one of the rude examiner i have ever seen...he gave some racial comments that i didn't like while he was taking my road test..said even if indians have advance licence and have their own vehicle still they don't know how to drive perfectly..he even asked me if i am indian too and failed me..even it was all bcuz of mistakes i made which i don't mind either as it was his duty to do so.. Anyways thanks and can drive driving school...especially to instructor ranbir she made to drive perfectly and then to examiner balkar who is so cooperative..makes you feel comfortable before you start exam..

Took a road test last Friday. I was unfortunate to have a really bad person as my instructor. Her name was Pam. In a drive test we get nervous at times, and when the examiner next to you looks at you with disgust and carries a condemning vibe, you feel suffocated and are prone to more errors. Its okay to point out mistakes and award points for them; but to talk in a disrespectful manner, flavored with scorn, it really makes one feel terrible. Rather than failing my test, I was more sad because of the way Pam behaved. Don't take a test at the Millwoods registry. You might risk the chance of running into Pam.

I have actually had good experiences going to this registry. Eventhough the line ups are long tempting me to go somewhere else, I find the staff are friendly. Have been going back every year for the last seven years for registration renewals, etc and haven't experienced any issues. In fact stopping by today lol. It's a pleasure ♡♡♡
Went there to update my status on my license they refuse to do it and told me it can only be done when renewal of license is due ,same thing Summerside registry did it for me in 5 minutes millwoods staff need to take care of customer they need to watch their attitude

Staff needs some customer service training. Maybe the ownership needs to insent them with some perks to motivate them to do a good job. I have always gotten rude service here. Just had a terrible experience with my daughter getting her class 5 license from here. She is a surprisingly good driver, professionally trained. She had been warned against going here because they will fail without good reason, however we disregarded the warning and encouraged her to go anyway. Turns out we we're wrong. The tester failed her within seconds without reason. We are repulsed by the lack of professionalism of the tester. We won't ever use this business again.
Surprised that I found a registry that was fast and friendly. I enjoyed this place, highly suggest for Motorcycle testing too, they didn't try to make me wait 2 months for a slot. The inspectors / testers were also very friendly, knowledgeable and put me at ease. They actually treat you like a person and not a number. Thanks guys.

I'm only rating these guys one star because you can't do 0... after show them all of my proof of insurance and everything needed it was a huge argument and I ended up leaving and going to another place and showing them my same documents was able to register my vehicle with no issues...this place is a waste of your time and I would definitely go somewhere else!

Went in today looking for a plate for my new car. Was sent away for more documentation. Sent away a 2nd, needing my wife's info. Sent away a third time now saying she would need to be here in person. Easy enough to have a complete view of the whole process and tell me all of what's needed from the beginning. Could have saved 2 hours chasing down useless documents.
If 0 stars was an option that's what i would give this registry. It has extremely long wait times as well the driving instructors that do the tests are very rude and automatically fail you for the slightest things. I had a much better experience at Summerside registry and would recommend them anytime
This place is pathetic and full of people who are unprofessional ,illiterate and they don't know what they are doing ...Some of the stuff are so untrained that I had to explain some things to them ..To my advice stay away from that place if you can.
Worst experience ever with this registry. First booked a GDL road test with them few months back. Scott was examiner and he failed me twice for no reason. He wanted me to slow down even before the school zone started. Booked with another examiner and was passed in 1st attempt. Booked an advance test few days back. Again faced Scott today. He failed me again for no reason, he wanted me to slow down even the before the construction sign has started. I told him that when the sign has started i am within the speed limit. He refused that and informed that i should have slowed down before the sign. I wish i could have any evidence for this. This examiner is good for this registry as they are making good money from him by failing and recommending them to re-book next day. I will never go and will not recommend anyone to this registry.
This service was atrocious. I went to renew my license and the agent didn’t tell me she was taking the picture and secondly she didn’t allow me to review. This was, by far, the worst experience at a registry. The picture is so terrible that I was actually pulled over and the police didn’t believe this was my license. Literally wow. Never coming here again.

I had my road test here on the January 30th, 2021. The Examiner that I got (I can't remember his name) was stern, but polite and professional. I was worried about taking my test at this location because of the reviews, but overall I had a pleasant experience. I'm happy to say that I passed my test and now I'm a free driver. woohoo!

When I asked her a question she responded by basically summarizing the statement I had just said. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Save money and book elsewhere!
Employees are usually negative about everything unless they listen to customers and are perfunctory. When I visited and applied for health care two weeks ago, they did not give me a temporary number, and the mail that led on December 1 is still empty.
I went to renew my Alberta Health Care and, with more than 10 persons before me, was done in 10 mins. Maybe not the mot friendly but very efficient staff.

I was expecting to spend maybe an hour waiting, once I entered and saw over two dozen people seated and waiting. However, their express lanes for various services were open and no line-up for renewal of vehicle registration. I was greeted in a friendly and polite manner, provided my insurance card, registration and ID, paid my bill (only cash or debit, no credit) and was out in less than 5 minutes. This was the most efficient and time-saving experience I've ever had. And no AMA registration fees!
I had class 5 Advance test today, Examiner was rude, unfair and have attitude problem. She tried all the things to make me feel irritated and nervous. First She told me to pull over then started explaining what uncontrolled intersection is like i am a new driver. Second, she yelled few times "This is a Class 5 Advance Road Test". Third, She told me to make right turn when i was in the extreme left lane of the four lane road I told her it is not safe to do but if the vehicle behind me slow down on the signal then i will make the turn and I did. Her marking criteria does not have any legitimacy she has deducted all the marks for just one mistake. I moved to Alberta from India and driving from past one year on my international license, have never been pulled over by the cop and never received traffic ticket. However, I do understand, i may lack some knowledge needed for obtaining the license but i do have all the skills needed to drive safely. On questioning about the points, she didn't even provided me with the valid answer, she just answered like "repeat the same mistake again in the road test to know", "this is government law ask the government". I will suggest not to go at this registry if you want to save your time and money. I wish i could have the dash camera installed in my car so i can uncover her behavior. I expect to receive call form the registry owner or manager about this review if not i will assume this registry is just a money grabbing vulcher.
Teller did not know the products and services she offered. I was simply requesting a driving abstract. She offered 2 (commercial and regular). When I inquired what the difference was she did not know and said I should go verify which one I needed and come back, reasonable but not helpful at all.

This registry is VERY disrespectful. Avoid at all costs. They just scream at you and are very rude. When I explained to the registry that I am in need of essential services (aka heath card enrollment) but I'm unable to wear a mask DUE TO A MEDICAL CONDITION, they said they do not honor medical exemptions and asked me to leave. If they truly understood the mask mandate from the Alberta govt, they would have read that the mask mandate accommodates medical conditions. Meanwhile, their own employees had their masks on incorrectly and a few people waiting for services were not wearing their masks correctly either. You do not understand what others are going through medically and they would do well to have some compassion during this "dire time" as they called it. Went to the registry on Ellerslie road and NOT ONE PROBLEM. Again, avoid this registry. Their workers look miserable and like they don't want to be there which is probably why they were so rude.

I have only been here 2 times. The first time was an unfortunate circumstance dealing with someone. But in saying that I dealt with the manager and she was extreme responsive and helpful with what I was dealing with. The second time I came was for my advanced road test. I completely (and passed) the exam with instructor Raj. He was a very lovely man and didn't make the exam process awkward in anyway. Clear instructions and a good conversation during the test. You aren't able to request examiners, but if you get Raj, I know he'll be fair and good to you!

Never do you road test with Pam Rood, she's the most presumptuous individual I have ever met. She puts herself in a position of power and belittles you. She takes points off of anything and with will do anything she can do to fail you. I failed twice with her. Overall the system is unfair. There should be another individual in the car to validate the points that are being taken off of your examination. I exagerated my head movements and paid close attention to detail while I was driving but somehow I ended with the same amount of points being deducted on the first and on the second examination. It makes me believe that it wad not a coincidence. The only thing she does is take your money.
I was hesitant to come to this registry after reading the reviews online but the location is super convenient for me so I decided to file my name change through them anyway. I was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. I've never had such a short wait time at a registry before. It was 5pm on a weekday. Given that there wasn't many people in front of me but I was still impressed with how quick I got out of there. The lady that helped me was very nice, patient, and thoughall. I wish I remembered her name but I'm terrible with names. She answered all my questions with a smile. There was something on my application that she needed to consult with Vital about and their office was closed so she told me that, even though she has the next couple days off, that she would make sure someone followed up with me tomorrow. Sure enough, 10am this morning I got a phone call and everything is cleared up and it can be filed! Don't believe everything you read online folks. Some places will surprise you!
Don’t go to this registry. Days ago I called earlier to ask what are the supporting documents to get my son a provincial identification who just turned 18. The lady on the phone said i can bring his passport and they will use my license to support it. I told them that my son doesn’t have any other Id and she said it’s fine I also brought his PR card which doesn’t have to be renewed unless you are leaving the country. We lined up and waited a while when the rude lady at the counter said no we can’t give him an ID didn’t even look at his passport or his PR card just rushing to get rid of us. We went there because someone told us that my son can get an ID. You need to provide accurate details and don’t waste people’s time. I will just go to different registry. Customer service here is bad they treat you like a disturbance not as a main purpose of their business to serve.
I have one question for all of you, workers from this place and from many other Registry Services establishments within the city: Anyone likes their job? Do you know what is Customer Service Industry? No? Then find another job that suits your skills and interests please, because your hate reflects through the quality of the service you provide. I would like to not put everyone in the same boat and to believe there is a few exceptions to the rule, but I never had a good experience with any Registry offices I have been to in the city of Edmonton so far, and I am a super friendly and patient person. I have been working in this kind of industry for 20 years now and I understand that it can be challenging, but if you can't handle it, just leave it to someone who can. Sincerely, the service I have received from each place, were the most hostile and condescending ever, every single time. This is professionally unacceptable and I would never hire someone with that kind of attitude.

Customer service is horrendous besides the woman with the awesome lashes. Fail you on drivers tests over n over again for the tinest infraction. I did my first test here and went a little over the stop line and the instructor started screaming stop after the fact i had stopped already and failed me. Over Dramatic and rediculous. Failed me for being a few inches over the line. Seems they will only pass their own culture in the drivers test. I passed when i finally got someone who knew what they were doing, thanks scott.

did my motorcycle road test here. the instructor DID NOT give me an audio headset for instructions, instead he decided to use his signal light to pre-indicate our next turn. unfortunately he chose to do this in a torrential downpour while climbing up my motorbikes' rear end with his car. DURING MY MOTORCYCLE TEST I WAS FORCED TO CONSTANTLY LOOK OVER MY SHOULDER IN A MASSIVE DOWNPOUR TO PREDICT THE NEXT TURN THE INSTRUCTOR WANTED TO MAKE. if hadn't already had 20 years of riding experience, i am sure this could have killed me. when the driving tester attempted to reprimand me, i not-so-politely informed him that his testing strategy is in direct violation of transport canada's safety policies, and he had the choice of losing teeth, his job, or rubber stamping my test. he passed me.
I just purchased a truck from Sherwood park and came to this registry to register it. There was a female with very thick glasses and after waiting she looked at my bill of sale and said it was a photocopy even tho the seller and I signed it with black pen. She was very rude through this process. Luckily I called the seller and he was able to come from Sherwood park to this registry to confirm. Even though the seller came the clerk forced me to retake a ticket and wait again because of her mistake. Luckily another person was able to register my truck with the seller there but the experience was horrible and took twice as long as it should have. Furthermore the worker spoke very rudely to me and my entire experience was frustrating and degrading. I've been there before but never had this experience.
Had my advanced road test here today with Scott. I was a little bit nervous about the bad reviews for the all examiners at this particular registry. However he wasn't rude at all and it couldn't have gone better. He was very clear with his directions and went over areas I could improve at the end. I don't believe they fail people for no reason . So don't let the bad reviews keep you from going here if your a good driver you wont have a problem.

I had called them regarding registration for my vehicle as I have recently sold it to a guy in another province. I just wanted to know what the protocol or procedure is as I am still driving it as he has not picked it up yet. The lady on the phone was really rude, was not understanding of what I wanted and was becoming frustrated with me, by the end I felt stupid and belittled. Sorry for not knowing something but that's why I called.

After waiting and dealing with two ladies at the counter and doing EXACTLY what I was asked to do in order to get a vehicle registered I was told that they misunderstood and they couldn't register the vehicle for me. Worst service EVER and least knowledgeable service people I've ever witnessed. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!

Myself and others in our community have witnessed these road test examiners being racist toward white ppl making it impossiblc for them to pass road tests for one reason or another seems that all east indians get much better treatment and results....absolutely would not go get tested there if ur not east indian. Careful taking road tests here. Be sure to over exagerate things like shoulder checks, even state that you are making one, otherwise they will pretend that you didnt do it. Staff at the counter were efficient and friendly.

I went in for the road exam today and came early just in case of lines, so I could just fill out the paper work and make things go smoothly. When it finally came time after waiting because they don't do anything till 30 minutes before ur appointment, we went out to do the check and my break light at the top of my van had gone out in the parking lot. it was working before we got there and we had checked all of these things the night and the morning before we left. They refused to give me my exam after I have waited for 8-9 months with covid and my previous exam being canceled a few days before it was supposed to happen. my mother had to walk up and ask about rescheduling. there are no refunds and I get that but come on guys, ive been waiting almost a year so I can drive for work and you don't give me exam because one light that most cars don't have is out. There was also a car they had and It was ready to go right in front of us, I tried to ask if we could just fill out the paper work after the exam but he just refused. It was crushing after waiting for so long.

I don’t like the Asian lady with long black hair just to specific who helped me this morning. She was so rude. I went there this morning to update my address and when she asked me if I want to change my photo I said yes and I remembered saying it twice. She insisted that I didn’t say it and just let me leave without getting a photo because she said she already printed the receipt. I just don’t like the way she handles her customer. She was very impolite. The rest of the staff were very attentive and accommodating except her.

I had to pay extra money for the traffic violation citation I had to pay just because their system was down. Somehow it was my fault that the ticket wasn’t uploaded on the government’s website so they will ask you to pay extra. So that they can access it using the same internet via their so called special servers. Ridiculous. If one can’t pay online and it’s your fault just accept it and let people pay it without ripping them off by charging extra money.

Renewed license in less than 10 minutes on a Saturday. Staff were courteous, professional and know their stuff. I go here for all of my registry needs and have never had an issue, nor had to wait very long for anything.
Think twice before you give them your drivers test, they will force you to rent their car to make theirs friends money and if you refuse to rent it they will fail you for that mistakes which make no sense specially one whose examiner number is 14050. Just confirm this is not your examiner because we pay them a lot for 40 minutes test.

Showed up 50 minutes before my scheduled road test appointment, and waited in total for over 2 hours for an examiner and absolutely no one showed up. Asked employees twice to help and they said there’s nothing they could do not even f*ing compensation. I booked this 2 months before and they had the audacity to have not one examiner be informed of it. Complete waste of time, money and energy. Worst service i’ve ever experienced and I’m normally pretty lenient with customer service so that says a lot. I recommend never coming here for anything unless you want your day to be ruined
I registered online to get my class 4 but couldnt find a confirmation later on to cancel. I called today and the lady asked me why I need to cancel. I said I dont need to tell her that. She told me their road tests are non refundable. I told her I'm giving them 2 weeks notice so it's ridiculous I cant cancel. She then said well we can cancel but only in person. I asked to talk to her manager but was put on hold for a long time. I emailed and asked for managers email. I also sent the cancellation policy that clearly says cancellations can be done within 2 business days of test. Shortly after was sent a cancellation email. Clearly she was trying to lie to me to keep my business.
I have always found the service at Millwoods Registry Services to be friendly and professional . I will continue to use them and recommend them.

Possibly worst registry in the town. My sister went to take a drive test twice and they failed her both times. Then i had to take her to different registry. We had no problem with fail but when we went to ask a lady examiner and she behaved rudely. We only asked her to explain fail points and she responded like "She was the worst driver ever seen in my life". That lady had No manners how to talk to the people. They treat you like you are a beggar.I suggest people not to go there.
I went to Millwood registry last Monday to do my road test. I booked the test online and I got Scott as examiner. I did the 5 B (basic). I was nervous and afraid before the test, because I read the bad review about this examiner. But I know the registry can't choose the examiner, so I prayed and ask God to be with me during the test. And for my surprise the examiner was really kind and helped me to keep calm. He explained to me how the test supposed to be and during the exam he was really attention. I was going well, I just stuck to do the parallel park, but he gave me the chance to do 3 times. At the end I thought I will fail, because I was nervous and was my first exam. But I passed, he just told me to practice parallel park and be more attention in left turn. I would like to recommend the Millwood registry, the reception was kind and fast in service.
I went to this registry to renew my plate. Went through two people and neither knew what to do. The girl had to get the manager. Manager was great. Very helpful. She tried to explain to her how to do it. I had a form to fill out so i went off to the side amd waited. Then had Joon help us. He was clueless as well. Manager had to come and help. He was still clueless. Stood there for 10 minutes while he tried to figure everything out. Was very rude to us. He then sneezed all over my license and my registration papers. I said he should use hand sanitizer and he threw my papers and license in my face and said have a good day and ran. What kind of customer service is this!! Espcecially when we are in the middle of a pandemic. Yuck!!!

Worst driving registry! Beware. Make sure to go somewhere else. People here have no respect for customer and they have unfair service. My friend was booked for her driving test today @ 14:30. She arrived at 14:20 but there was a long line up at the registry. When she got up to the counter they did not let her take the driving test because it was already 1435. How is that her fault when it was the registry that lacks employee even though they have alot of people booked that day. This is unlawful.
Very busy even during Covid times, social distancing was maintained. Long waiting times and if you are in the Line extended outside , not very comfortable. Staff are very quick though, so the lines keep moving.
The registry is well organized with an effective queueing technique through numbering. The staff is well informed, efficient and friendly. I also did my advance road test with Scott, he is a very fair examiner, so polite and took time to explain the area i needed to improve on.
Very fast and very friendly service. I showed up at 10:30 am on the last Saturday of the month, expecting to be there for quite a while. I was able to get my licence renewed and was in and out in about 20 minutes.

I went there for the class 7 test but the lady who is serving, I think she is Chinese with the blue hair, her attitude is so bad. The way she talked to me and other people is so bad. I gave my road test with examiner (Balkaran). He makes you comfortable before the test. He was very polite and his instructions were also very clear. At the end, he also explained what were my mistakes so that I can work on them. I Highly recommend.
Worst registry i have ever seen. There's a big lineup since morning. Got here for commercial abstract and had to wait for more than hour and half. They knew There's big lineup but still they were like super lazy and not assisting customers but busy on their computers and paperwork for hours. That looks so unprofessional and lazy.

My wife had road test today, when i booked road test i asked for examiner's name, Lady said she doesn't know, which is totally fine, but when we went in the morning to registry for road test, one lady with some driving school, she knew my wife's examiner and also she knew the examiner of her client, so how did she know examiner's name ?, who is leaking information ?, is it Registry itself or Examiners. so they can chose their favorite examiner, so they can pass their exam easily and put risky drivers on the road.

I was tested for an advanced GDL at two different registries. It wasn't until I came to Millwoods Registry that I was informed that as a former driver, I only needed to take the basic GDL to reacquire a full class 5. I passed my road test today, I was worried. My examiner Ramandeep made it so stressfree, she seemed strict at first, but when we started our test she calmed me down and gave me clear instructions throughout the test. She told me about the mistakes I did throughout the test. She elaborated the rules and cleared my few doubts before test. Thanks to Millwoods rgistry for having such nice, Profesional and polite examiners.
Very prompt service, I was there in the early afternoon and a weekday. There’s an electronic ticketing computer that makes sure people are coming in for what they need in an organized manner. Service was good, they were knowledgeable and helpful. I had my road test there and I heard horror stories but it was not bad at all! As long as you are well practiced there is no worry. The examiners were respectful and gave great advice after the exam.
Gave my class 5 advanced test at this registry with examiner Steve and he was very polite and nice. I was nervous at first but he helped me calm down and get comfortable as the test went on. Definitely would recommend Steve.

I had an worse experience today at this registry office. We got their at 5:15 and our number was call in on 5:30 at counter 11. But that person also called another number right a way. So there were two number called on the same counter. First person went up to the counter and we sat down to wait for our turn on counter 11 after the first person was done. But no they didn't call out number back or put it back so anyone else call us. We waited till closing which was on 6pm and they refused to serve us because they are closed. I tried to tell the manager, but he did't care much. Bunch of selfless futile morons are working there.
Will not be back. It does not cater to someone in a wheelchair. There is no button on the door to open it so you have to wait for someone to come along and there is no low counter to converse with a clerk. I thought having moved the new place would be more user friendly.

I went to this registry to book a roadtest scheduled on May 14, but suddenly my in car instructor told me that his car is not available on that day to be rented. So, the same day I went back to the registry and ask them if I can change my schedule on May 28. I was surprised coz they change my road test schedule with out additional charges fee on it. Anyway, I'm so thankful to that lady who assisting me. Keep it up guys... Wish me luck ???????? I HOPE THAT I WILL PASSED MY ROAD TEST ON MAY 28...

I do not recommend this place for the road test at all. If you are given one of the female instructors Pam, take the test elsewhere. although she is just doing her job, the way she responds to your mistakes is very abrupt and condescending. For any mistakes, very rude attitude and annoyed noises like sighs were made and a looks of disgust were given, just makes you feel belittled and discouraged even more. yes, mistakes should be corrected and pointed out, but a condescending, frustrated tone and mean looks does not at all ease/ help the driver at all and trying to be professional and calm after that can be a little difficult.

Scott was my driving examiner and he was so nice! I get really bad anxiety and he made me feel very comfortable. He took the time to explain things to me and helped me identify the things I needed to work on. I am so glad Scott was my examiner he is the best!
Went to take my Class 6 test and was taken on all construction routes with gravel and uneven roads by a Non Rider. Theres also a pothole they make you ride though exiting the parking lot thats big enough to toss your front wheel. Not happy with this cash grab.

My last two experiences at their new location were excellent. The line up system is very efficient getting my license renewed in under 20 mins. When I brought name change forms they double vetted my document finding an error and preventing rejection. And they also commissioner of oath for legals documents so will save you time. Thanks.
I recently dealt with the manager Kevin. My company received a $400 ticket from the RCMP because the staff are poorly trained and informed about how many years of registration can be sold to a commercial vehicle versus what can be sold to a private individual. He neither tried to find a solution to my company's issue nor suggested any mitigating actions. He didn't suggest increased training nor reprimands to the agent that sold me the registration. This company is a carbon copy of the manager offering poor customer service , no initiative and severe lack of business acumen. I do not recommend taking your business to them as they waste your time and money.
The Middle East driving examiner is very polite and have a good altitude. He is also friendly. I was really enjoyable to have him as my class 5 examiner.

I have passed my road test today. I just want to thanks to my examiner Mr. Balkaran, he was so polite and patient with me during whole test. Even before exam he motivated me because i was so nervous. Overall, I had a very good experience. :)
The staff members in that office are not aware about Canadian law. Moreover, they need proper training. I surrendered my BC Class 5 license and girl over there issued me AB Class 5 GDL license. When I asked her that BC Class 5 is equivalent to AB Class 5 advanced and you are issuing me GDL then she answered government will decide. And after 10 days, I received Class 5 GDL. That's so bad and annoying.

I went to give my road test, and I had to waited 30 minute even the lady was taking the road test was sitting in front of me. I did not mind that thing but the way she was speaking was very rude, showing full attitude, I did not have any idea why she is behaving like that. One incident, I must share with you guys, I stopped on red light that time, she did not give any direction to take left turn, and when light turn green, I almost crossed the intersection then she told me to take left turn even she was moving my handle to take left turn, I completely socked and finally refused to take left turn because intersection was almost crossed and I did not have any instruction to take left turn and my left indicator was not on. I did not understand who hired such kind of ugly lady.
stay away from this regisetry i went there for my learner licence and the girl who was philipino and old she didnt give me proper information and overcharge me without giving me complete information she subscribe me for 5 yrs without my permission and when i told her i want to subscribe for 1 yr she just gave the excuse that now process is done.cant be undone.they try to rip off you.please stay away from this.

This place is full of the most inconsiderate people I have ever seen. I had paid $90 to take the test and I was running late because of the buses coming from school. I was told I had to be there within 5 minutes and even though I got there within 3 mins, they closed and told me to pay again if I wanted to take it again. I paid out of my own pocket as a student but they have no regard for other. If you can, please go to a different registry and avoid this one at ALL COST!!!
I did my road test here and Passed !!! I want to thank examiner Faiqa. I failed my first test due to my mistakes before but she was very patient throughout the test and explained me my mistakes after finishing the test. She is fluent in multiple languages that helps alot. The staff was great as well. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
My boyfriend has gone to this registry 3 times now for his drivers and each time waited for 3 hours for someone to take him, that is if the person who does the road test shows up ! This place is so unorganized and unprofessional when it come to doing there job that'stgey can't even do that I'm incredibly disappointed and displeased.
Took my little brother for his road test today, they wouldn't let me sign his waiver and said parents need to come sign, they would arrive 5-10 min after the test started and I asked if they could wait. She said putting the schedule back 5-10 min would ruin the whole day. He was not able to reschedule, we lost the $80. I cannot believe how horrible the customer service was and that we had to pay for the test even though he could not take it.
Went and renewed my registration and the sticker broke as I was trying to put it on. When I went back in to complain they said it would be an additional $23 + tax even though it had only been 5 minutes since I got it. My plate was clean and it was +3 outside. The woman treated me like I was an idiot and spoke to me in the most condescending manner I will never return there.
Horrible customer service. We were 8 minutes late for my daughter's road test appointment and instead of just saying sorry you can't take the test today you're too late. He felt he needed to be rude to the crying 16 year old on her birthday and reiterate how she should not have been late. Don't take your kids here, may be fine to renew here but no road tests!!

I don't even WANT to give a star but i have to to post this. Many years ago, they were a pretty good place to go; close to home, good staff, decent hours, yadayadayada. I went in there about a month ago to see about getting my son some ID as he doesn't have a DL yet, but needs some properly issued identification. Had NO idea where we were supposed to go, who we were supposed to talk to, there were no forms to just pick up and fill out at home and bring back(which would have made sense; people aren't stupid, if you put the stuff out we need, we can just grab and go and come back). The place was STUFFED with people, it smelled awful, cluttered, dirty, confusing, and pretty much utter chaos. We sat for a bit, looking for signs or an indication of where we should go to do what we had to do. Because I wanted to make sure we were in the right side of the office, I waited until a young lady had no clients and wasn't calling anyone(she was chatting with another staff member, giggling and gossiping)I quietly went up and politely said "excuse me, I don't want to bother you but I just have a quick question"....THREE TIMES. I got completely, and utterly ignored by the staff member...she glanced at me then stared at her computer screen without even acknowledging I existed. I didn't make a fuss until now, when I have to go re register my car today. If this office were the last place on earth to get the registration done, I'd drive illegally and take my chances. I will never, ever, ever cross this threshold again. These people don't seem to realize how many other registries there are in the city, not to mention on the Southeast side of the city. Its pretty clear that they cater to a certain demographic and its pretty pathetic to see. Worst place in South Edmonton to visit for any of your Registry needs. Steer clear. There are lots of other places that will get the job done politely, efficiently, and professionally. THIS OFFICE IS NOT ONE OF THEM. STAY AWAY.

It's the worst registry ever. I had Saskatchewan license and wanted it be shifted to Alberta one. Their working hour is till 6PM. I went there around 4:45PM. They asked me to come next day since their system to verify my Saskatchewan license is down that day. It was my 4th attempt with the same registry to get my Alberta license. I would suggest not to go to this office ever again. I found their staff gossiping then working every single I had been there. WORST REGISTRY EVER.

I had my road test today Bakhal was the examiner he was so strict but honest examiner he took me to highway and other area I am driving since last 16 years to my home country and 2 year in Canada with Gdl class 5 license those who think that the examiner deliberately failed the test they are totally wrong because the examiner could pass you with the improper driving skills you must proper controlled over your driving and knowledge about the roads within in a city and on highways.
I’m not normally one to complain, but every time I go to this registry I am amazed at the lack of customer service. I came to change my legal documents and ID to my married name. I was instructed to fill out a form and come back to the lady at the counter, to avoid standing the long line for second time. I came back up to the counter as instructed. The lady looked at me, got up and left her seat without saying a word and disappeared behind a door. I proceeded to stand there for 10 minutes waiting for her to come back. Eventually another lady asked me what I was waiting for. I explained the situation and she said that the other attendant had gone on her lunch break. Not sure if she was expecting me to casually wait there while she went to eat, or what her plan was. Either way, it was unprofessional. I won’t be returning and most definitely wouldn’t recommend this registry for fast and efficient service.
The lady is stupid,she doesn't know what she's doing. I have to go to another Registry to renew handicap parking for my mom.
The registry agent was very friendly and efficient in acquiring my driver's abstract. Definitely going there again in the near future.
Wasted my time and money for no reason. Such a idiotic person who told me to update what I needed to update online from home and guess what I can’t update it from home because to update or change I need to visit a local registry. Such a waste please don’t waste other people time and be better at your job.
Bad customer service.I will never come back. Today I came with my wife just to renew her drivers license. The girl that works there is kind of rude and disrespectful to my wife. I don't know her name but she's sitting in number 8.
I was in there today and it was very efficient. Seems they may have made some improvements. There were 12 people ahead of me in the queue..I was still in and out in less than 20mins total. Including my own business in there.
Excellent place to give road test with MR. Gurnam Dodd. The best thing i liked about him was that he helped me to get rid of my anxiety and nervousness throughout the test. I would recommend Mr. Gurnam as your road test examiner.

I went in today with a friend for his written test... Took the number to be called... Waited 40 minutes and no call we left for 39 Registry office. Lot of people, long queue with longer wait time and cramped space gives you head ache. 39 Registry office average wait time 5 minutes nice and relaxed environment..I think lot of people go to Millwood registry because it is closed to transit terminal
Idiots are working here they don't have any knowledge about their work, Go to armor registry instead, they works so well and save you a lot of time.
I passed my roadtest today,. My experience with examiner Mr. Balkaran was extremely good. He was very calm and I was not scared during my driving test as he talks to me friendly.
Very arrogant and unfriendly people.

Some of the worst customer experience I've ever received. The manager Calvin was absolutely reluctant to even give me his contact information. No help what so ever and the manager seems like he doesn't know what he's even doing. Would not recommend.
This has to be the lowest rated registry. They actually start off with attitude to the point I’ll do everything online! Terrible service here.
DO NOT TAKE THE ROAD TEST HERE! They will purposely fail you to take your money!!! They are also very rude! AVOID. SCOTT needs to be fired! Whoever is hiring people at this location needs to be fired as well because they only hire the rudest people they can find!!

I will not recommend any body to visit this registry. Reason is UNTRAINED and RUDE employee. I have lots of bad experience in this registry but I will discuss one bad experience in this registry. My nephew migrate from Toronto to Edmonton on student visa. He got admission in MacEwan University. We went to this registry to get a Learner Driver license. One of an India employee told us to bring Study permit, Passport and proof of address. 2nd time we went there with those papers. One of Chinese employee told us that she needs study permit for Alberta and refused us. I emailed Ontario Government to change the study permit. They emailed us that you dont need separate study permit. This is a common permit for whole of Canada. Still I have that email. 3rd time we visit registry and met with same Chinese employee and show her the email. She discuss this with one of White Girl employee . They told us that we need Alberta study permit and refuse. She was rude and speaking loudly. 4th time we visit registry on 91 street and 39 Avenue. They just call MacEwan University to make sure about my nephew admission and issued us driver license same time.They were very friendly, polite and trained. So I request everybody to go there for all your needs instead of Millwoods registry. Very much disappointed with Millwoods registry staff. This registry needs trained and professional staff instead of unprofessional staff. I will recommend everyone to book road test with Mr SCOTT. He is the only road test examiner in Mill woods registry who is HONEST, FAIR, FRIENDLY, INTELLIGENT, TRANSPARENT and really a nice guy. He will be very fair for road test and try to pass all students unless there is a big mistake. On other hand there are some other examiner over there who are there only to fail the students. So Mr SCOTT is only and only trustworthy gentleman in Mill woods registry.
Friday afternoon 4:40 PM and they are closed. Website says open until 6. Poor business model and misleading information. They are at the center of a very busy traffic route and it is not worth the trip to see them if they aren't open. Choose another registry if possible.

came in for a drivers exam i pre booked was 1hour late beacuse my girlfriends doctors appoinment at the cross cancer ran a little late. now this test is gonna cost me 300$ todo . DONT GO HERE. THE STAFF SEEM TO HAVE NO HEART AND DONT TREAT YOU LIKE A HUMAN BEING UPDATE:i did say i was having phone issues as rogers entire network was down. also did not feel the need to tell the counter lady my personal medical issues. all I wanted was to reschedule but you're lack of business skills didn't even offer that. GO TO ANY OTHER REGISTRY !!!!!!!

This registry does not deserve any star, not even 1. I wish there was something I can give negative stars. Worst customer service ever. Staff is under trained. They dont inform in one go what documents are required. Keep asking new documents make you run several times. I will never ever return to this registry. I will not recommend it at all. Pooooor
My mother went there to try to renew her license. They gave her a hard time and told her that she needs a whole bunch of extra stuff that she's never needed before for a license renewal. To add to that, they were extremely rude about the whole thing. She ended up going to another registry (Summerside) and suddenly renewing her license was as quick, easy, and professional as ever. I understand that nobody is perfect. Mistakes and bad days happen, but there's absolutely no excuse for not treating people with some basic human decency. So here's my first ever bad review.

Worst customer service. I went there to change my driving licence. i received my licence with wrong name. i figure this in month as I went to open a bank account. They scan my Licence , my 1st name was coming as my last name and my last name as my 1st. when I was applying for my licence, lady asked me that she will use my 1st name as last, i replied to her i wont let her change. It should be same as my passport. but still without my consent she changed my name. I really want to go to higher authorized for my inconveniences. This is 3rd time the mess up and waste my Time I would never recommend anyone to go there .

Went to this Registry to get my driving license, from the beginning to the end, Ms. Mandeep (Staff) were polite, knowledgeable and helpful in advising on any enquiry. On my road test day the examiner Mr. Balkarn was very professional in his work, He was very polite, punctual and made me comfortable before going for the road test, not made me to scare as am with an examiner. I got my license as well. Thank you Millwoods Registry Services Ltd.
I used to like going to this Registry for many years however, recently I went with my husband. They seem to always give him runaround. He had to renew his drivers licence and was told previous day that his passport and land title would be accepted. Once inside and our turn came up, they refused it and even manager said no. I knew the manager and have worked with her and she knows my character and ethics and values, her very longtime and when I tried to get her attention she looked away. We are paying for service and not for rudeness and disrespectfulness. The customer service representative told me that I had to go to my car and I said I am making payment. Others around with their parent or family member. No one else other customer representative told them to go to car. Again I wanted to tell manager hey I am someone you knew and worked with and this is how you treated me and not even stick up for me or acknowledge. Very disappointed and upset. It is with great regret that I would not recommend going here anymore.
Stay away from this place! Possibly the worst registry in the city. They say they have zero tolerance for raised voices but they are allowed to raise their voice whenever they feel like it. Terrible customer service. Had to wait over an hour to get what I needed done. The clerk picked up her phone and started texting instead of helping others. Examiner 02733 wasted about 20 minutes of my time by talking to his friends and was extremely rude. Are you kidding me? I won't be coming back.
