This Notary Public belongs to the category of Public library.
Really big, free wifi, printing services and lots of places to sit. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Good selection of books and DVDs, lots of computers. Overall it's a very comfortable atmosphere can get a little noisy at times but still an amazing place to read, do homework or just hang out
Beautiful building but its laking its purpose (poor and limited selection of books) Justin Trudeau was the a couple of months ago.
It’s nice and clean, but the workers are so bossy, and nosey. Can’t even kiss my boyfriend without them saying “get out of the corner.” Loved library’s growing up now this one despised me.

This is a great library. They have quiet areas and a lot of seats to read and such. The lighting is amazing and I find myself frequently coming here to read, write or just type on my computor. It also is nice that it's so close to the mall and my school
This à world class Facility I love this library
I was there for a little bit. For like 3 hours or so. I tried to get some reading done, but that was impossible with the amount of kids running and playing at the other end of the library, which was the only available space for us to sit, since the other spaces were occupied. My only recommendation would be that, the kid play zone should be set in another arena, from the library. If they do not want to move, they can always construct a soundproof wall that divides both regions. Anyway, the collection of books were nice. I did not dive into them, but I saw a nice array of books there. Also I did see something on the wall, about a promo for students or something like that. I was quite impressed with that. Also the library is neat, and the building is beautiful inside and outside.
Ten minutes to find somewhere to sit and recharge phone. WiFi was painfully slow. Have gotten better connection speeds at a Tim Hortons.
Take my kids here all the time. Awesome selection of books. Activities valour. Friendly staff. Nice wide open building. Huge change from the old location.. much much more modern and welcoming.
Best customer service
Really different from other locations where staffs want to help. have a document to print and release it at the front desk before realizing the closest printer was out of order. I refer to the first staff available who told me it is probably in the staff room, the second staff said the same thing, but none of them ever try to get it for me. felt sucked and left without the document I paid for
I am utterly disgusted by the growing number of the disrespectful customers who share the same work, reading and studying space as the rest of us. In particular, I question how this library allows customers/kids to eat in the library. Not only do they hog computers, but they will be munching away with their Doritos whilst playing on the public computers. Additionally, they will grunt, moan, and slam their hands on the table when things don’t go their way. I mourn the library’s future, as they will be be riddled with these godawful children who treat this space as if they were in the comfort of a their goddamn house.
Beautiful location. Love the huge windows.
A good library in South of Edmonton.
Good library. Lots of books. Very library experience.
It is really noisy. There are always groups of old men there and they are really noisy. You can't concentrate because of all the laughing and loud talking you hear. Overall, it is a nice place, but noisy.
I've always wanted to get a chance to do my college practicum here working with for City of Edmonton. Plus, it is a haven of sorts for students, job seekers, and anyone that has a hard time finding affordable amusement and entertainment.
New Reno makes it beautiful on the outside for a nice place to read
They have some great programs for Tots and families. And I like the fact that this location actually offers a number of quiet rooms and is not as busy as the millwoods library.
Convenient and well stocked. Such a pleasant location and easier to run errands!
Quite noisy. Not a good place for study. But it is well-lit and clean.
Great library. Friendly service
Great staff! It’s busy at times but always a great space
I struggle to understand the purpose of a library nowadays because it certainly is not to read, study, or get any work done. The noise level in here can become outrageous at times. Edmonton has, and continues to spend a lot of money on these brand new library buildings and I would love to use them but I cannot justify that when the mall across the parking lot is a quieter space than the library.
A great place to read and study in a covid safe environment
I LOVE THIS LIBRARY! Awsome kids programs and all the books I could wish for! Very polite and helpful staff! #BESTPLACEINTHEWORLD
I went to epl and it was great experience everyone helped me a lot from getting a membership to finding a book
Best place ever
The overabundance of loud teenagers, the severe lack of air conditioning and filtration. Stuffy and smelly from the all the odors. Only reason I go is for the dvds and WiFi. Best to go in the winter months.
I take my son to the childrens programs here. When he was under one, Baby Laptime was great. Now that he is a toddler he enjoys Sing, Sign, Laugh and Learn. He loves books, and although I wish there was a bigger selection of board books, their board book section is larger than the one at the Meadows Library.
This library has it all!! We love to come as a family on a Sunday and hang out, pick out new books. We are so lucky to have a great library system in Edmonton. Each branch is so dynamic.
Beautiful library, nice and polite workers and always willing to assist
Good place to explore and learn new Knowledge.
Literally the noisiest library I have EVER been to.
Being new it has books that aren't at a few of the other libraries.
Good place to explore and learn new Knowledge.
Programs are excellent for the young ones on the weekends. Studying is impossible anytime after 330 pm but that is getting better with a security detail standing around. Teens like to sit and chat in loud voices as well but are usually quieted down by staff. Self checkout and returns are the way to go when you need to get out fast. Mens washroom is cleaned often but can still get dirty when the teens have their way with it. That photo of the couch and fireplace is part of the upstairs not the library portion.
Helpful staff, good selection of books and games for different consoles.
Place is nice except for some people who don't know how to behave and respect other people who are reading or studying. One time, these two persons brought McDonald's burgers and pop inside the library and were eating and talking very loud. Hello?!! Be respectful please.
The people that work there are very nice and helpful, the equipment is top quality would go again
Nice library with wide selection and friendly staff lots of activities
It's amazing, would highly recommend
Clean, well lit. Study room is cramped. Need more desks and less children running around without supervision. Also a gathering place for socializing. Not a great place to study. Noise level is high
This library is brand new and well taken care of, but.. There are computers all around the children's areas, so the kids barely focus on the actual books. When you first walk in you see tons of dvds/audio tapes, but the book amounts are low. I struggle to find the first book of any series or any two books in a series pinned together because the amount of books they have is extremely low for a library. Even the smaller libraries have more books out! (Not to mention, most of the books they have available are of the "trashier" romance novel sort (up front and center, next to YA romance/fiction). I understand that it's not cool to do books at libraries anymore, but this goes above and beyond the normal reduction. Such a shame. The librarians are extremely friendly and helpful, but often end up being increasingly apologetic.
Very good, lots of computers, lots of space, cards are free

I took my 11 year old son to the library on july 15, 2021 where we wanted to read books in peace. Some woman was taking on the phone loudly so I asked one of the librarians to go talk to that woman. The librarian told me that they didn't have any policies to stop people talking loudly in the library. After this, she rolled her eyes and mutter that I was wasting her time. It was very disturbing experience for my son and me!!!!
One of the best place to learn, lend and share knowledge, information and learnings: the well stocked and stacked, MillWoods Library has nice ambience, excellent designing, naturally efficient lightings and professionally proficient staff. General reading, professional, technical reading material in digital and actual versions are available aplenty. Restrooms for all categories, drinking water fountains, all official paraphernalia like Photocopier, scanners, printers and desk-top with dedicated hands-on/help is available for use. ONLY thing missing here is acoustic and visual respect for fellow user. Library should post a few displays at vulnerable place “ PLEASE DO RESPECT OTHER’ PRESENCE”
Beautiful Building and staff are always helpful and will do just about anything they can to assist!
Beyond my expectations ????
Very quiet staff made me feel welcome very roomy beautiful ???? ???? ???? ????
Beautiful building. No room to work as it's being taken up by people not doing any work, or studying, or reading. Don't recommend this location if you plan on getting anything done. Super noisy too and rules are definitely not enforced.
Intelligent and courteous staff. I'm amazed at their high level service offering and patience considering the occasional entitled or unstable patron arriving via transit. The architecture and design sets a standard in our community; having been visited by our Prime Minister not long after opening. Excellent resources available to further you along your journey. * Needs increased security for staff and greater community police presence as it's important for Officers to regularly engage with staff. Most of the resources are free to use for members however I would suggest to be respectful to all staff and patrons as this is a peaceful and safe place for community
Bright and spacious but a little noisy.
The staff here are absolutely amazing. They're polite, helpful, friendly and you truly feel that they love their job. I am sure all of the EPL staff are like this but I have only dealt with the Millwoods branch and am thoroughly impressed with them. In addition, the branch has so much to offer including books (!), DVDs, games, computer access and much more.
Peaceful atmosphere
Not many video games
Great quiet place to study.
Quiet?? this library is defiantly lacking what a library is meant to be about. People sleeping, people talking on cell phones, kids running and screaming. If you are going to have security walking around, at least make sure they are enforcing what a library is meant to be about
I like this new library it’s really built for the community. I don’t like that kids are playing games an swearing beside me an they are like eight years old. Other than that this is the best library
Amazing great place to do homework , work etc nice staff nice views
It's very quiet and peaceful. There's not a lot of talking and distractions. There's even a educational LA game in the middle. Lots of computers to do work or play online games. There's lots of books to choose from starting picture books to novels. Excellent place to do homework. There's even activities like 3-D printing, etc.
Very noisy. Libraries have changed in recent years. In the past, if you made a sound, the librarian would say"Shhhh!" Now, kids are allowed to run all over, cell phones are going off, and people are socializing. It's just awful!
It’s a nice place to read and learn and they have quite a bit of collection. Sometimes it is not quite and it can be distracting. Overall the staff is really good and helpful.
What a library. I often visits here to do my work or to read some books. the place was very clean and the atmosphere was awesome . All the book are nice and interesting.
Went to return my books and dvds , had a sick kid so they where 4 days late . 51$ for them all for just a few days . I had one book to renew and the lady with long curly hair made NO attempt to help me whatsoever. “Sorry can’t renew this for you “ and took off with the book . Probably the worst experience I’ve had with epl . I needed the book for work and she didn’t even help me make payment arrangements or forgive any of it due to circumstances even after Saying I guess I won’t be using epl again .
operate with zero logic, went to study with a friend. all was fine until I ran to my car to get something alone and when i tried to come back in, no entry even though the capacity was full. I have to wait with zero explanation to get back in. please hire different staff
A beautiful and quiet place to study!!!!!
Seniors Centre Rocks
Looks nice, but hours are terrible. Trying to go on a Sunday, but they don't open until 1. They close at 5. To accommodate a younger demographic, you need to adjust hours. Longer on weekends/evenings. If you're going to cut hours, cut them on weekdays in the morning when most people work and go to school.
Worst customer service. Help Desk staff behave like 3rd World countries government employee. Noisy atmosphere gives impression of more like a shopping mall. Only one photo copier is available goes catering such a huge visitors base! ????????????????????
The EPL is a world class library system, and a great place to take kids.
I asked for help to put more money into my account and she tells me to follow the steps listed. I lost money because I had no idea what I was doing. I'm very disappointed.
My son and I go to the library pretty much everyday. The book section for toddlers is very limited and almost everyday were there we have no books to read because they are all checked out (The board books) so we have to resort to the picture books which I'm scared to let my son read because he may rip the pages. We go to the sing, sign, laugh and play class every Tuesday and Wednesday. We wish there was more of those classes during the week because they're quite fun for my son. The childrens play area needs more chairs.
Not many video games
Great place with nice atudy rooms
Nice and quiet place with friendly staff makes it a wonderful place. Lots of variety of books and availability of computers to use. The best thing I like are the study rooms. The staff has maintained it very nicely and professionally. Thanks to everyone who has been involved in maintaining it.
Beyond words
My experience was great ????
Good ????
Some staff members are really helpful while others are very rude and have a lot of attitude.
If you’re looking for a quiet place to study I’d recommend going in early and studying in the study rooms, but if you’re someone who doesn’t get disturbed by noise then you have ample space to study on the main floor. There’s enough parking space as well. The staff if friendly if you have any concerns with printing or scanning the documents.
Was very dissatisfied and dissappointed in the customer service level experienced just trying to renew items. Was essentially told that if I have an issue with how long the process is taking....then I should have went online to renew them myself.....what's the point of person there to assist? Clearly if you have any issue with your account your best trying to resolve it yourself online...clearly incompetent people just collecting tax payers money. This is why the library is dieing...
I have found the staff to be rude on multiple occasions, pre and post covid. Honestly, it's embarassing how scared they are of covid. Heaven forbid you approach the table to pick up your books or dare speak to them before they've gone back in. I don't know how the staff's psyche will ever recover from the overblown rules. This was already a poor location. It's only worse now.
I try my best to use this beautiful space to study in, as parking is free and it is closer than the university to my house. My issue is, as soon as school lets out a bus load of high school students fill the place, and they aren't there to study. It is loud and I've seen fights break out. I had a 16 year old girl try to intimidate me by two hand shoving the glass wall I was sitting behind (one of the very limited "quiet spaces" available). The respect level for the space is completely non-existent - I feel terrible for the staff working , and while I understand this is a public building, it isn't a day care of teenagers to run wild in. I have noticed signs have been put up regarding respect, but I don't see any actual consequences for misbehaving.
Very friendly and helpful staff!
Lots of neat things in this library. They have some interesting learning stations for kids including computers, toys and activity stations. I saw a big touch screen with planet views on them. Lots of comfortable sitting spots and very accessible. They have great staff and fun kid groups. There is a restaurant upstairs.
Very noisey. Limited seating. Not a good place for study.
This location is really beautiful since it was made brand new building. So big with more capacity. I love its study rooms transparent and quiet. Staff is always really cooperative and welcoming. So much variety of tsbles and chairs for study as well as lots of computers. Resting sofa chairs are very comfortable and relaxing. Really love this place.
Great library. Friendly staff. Clean well organized. Lots of places to sit and read.
Great library but they allow groups of teenagers to sit and chat loudly hard to get any reading done.
I found their Covid book plan works really well. I appreciate their efforts to keep us reading. Many thanks.
The employees working there so nice and humble. Sometimes it’s long queue and lot of customers need help but employees are ready to help they have so patience i like that
It has lots of updated/new video games fifa16, nhl17 exc...
Quite noisy. Not a good place for study. But it is well-lit and clean.
Gorgeous building! A pleasant surprise that such a large library in Millwoods is far grander than the Stanley downtown. It is a real signature piece - no wonder the downtown location needed to be redone. Otherwise, this one becomes the focal point for EPL! So pretty!
The staff are helpful, and the building itself is nice. However, the place is swarming with children and is extremely noisy. It is quite difficult to concentrate. There is no quiet space available, since the glass room they have in the middle of the building is always filled with people talking. Where is the quiet space?? Also the choice of novels is quite slim, I was pretty disappointed in the selection of novels about Meditation or Buddhism. There is almost no specialized literature available, only pop literature. It's kind of sad how limited the selection is... :-(
Horrible staff. Either ignore you or dont know answers to simple questions. One old lady is especially mean spirited and rude.
I was really disappointed with this library. On the outside its beautiful, however as soon as you go in you're accosted by loud teenagers playing games on the numerous computer stations. There are a total of 7-8 shelves of books for adults, and a dedicated children's section. For me, I was completely underwhelmed by the selection of books. There seems to be three times as much space dedicated to computers than there is to books, which are the entire purpose of a library. Beyond that, the bus station is immediately out front so you have tons of transit people out front being obnoxious, smoking, and lowering the appeal of the building. Very unhappy as I'm used to much better library systems in other cities.
Perfect service I would say
