Wow, this is the fastest appointment I had ever been. I secured an appointment at 1:10 pm as I have to travel from Edmonton. Came in at 11:06 and finished my passport renewal at 11:40. Great service.
Went for an appointment today and when you get greeted the lady at the entrance who lets you on very rude not friendly or helpful at all the rest of the people working inside very nice and helpful but the girl working Sept 27 in the morning greeting Filipinos not very approachable I do hope she changes her attitude and help her Filipinos
If could put zero it’s crack ... answer the Damn phone

Kuya Arman is the best! They are very helpful and respectful. Be Respectful too. :)
Waited for over four hours, incomprehensible and unsystematic. It’s hard to say ‘not to recommend’ this to others as others dont have a choice but only this location. But make sure you have a LOT of patience coming to this site.
Warning to everyone who is scheduled to pick up your Phil. Passports. No, they are not going to inform you when your passport is ready to be picked up. No calls, no emails, none of those. You have to personally go to their office and let them look for it. They have a very poor service. They wont EVER pick up the phone when you call. People here are imcompetent, lazy and don't care about their fellow Filipinos. I thought I wasn't gonna be able to go back home because I waited for weeks for them to call me even though my passport was scheduled to be picked up weeks before. My god, I was fuming mad. They should replaced the people who work here to people who truly care and want to make a difference into their kababayan's life. Sadly, thats not the case.
There was one thing I noticed that needs improvement; the prominent posting of step by step procedure on each type of application is necessary in the facility. I gave 5 out of 5 rating because I saw some great changes from the first time I processed my SPA early this year and today when I applied for my authentication of document. Thus, staff are more accommodating. Procedure is more organize like staff are assigned in a specific role such as cashiering, processing for passport and processing for other documents or other services. I waited for 2 hours to process my authentication application; however, Staff shown great attitude to improve their service in some way. And it is sad that they removed the donated photocopy machine. It is a long walk to find a photocopier services in the vicinity.
This a very busy consulate and because the Filipino Government refuses to see the need for more employees it gets 10% of the community upset. The other 90% maybe concerned, but not angry. If people want to see improvements they need to write their governing officials and insist on better services. That is if they wish for them.
Very poor customer service, they should have someone assign to answer telephone inquiries. they are so many of them in the office but too little who are really working.
The passport renewal process was really fast ~30-45 mins and I did not expect the new passport to arrive really early in less than a month.
(Translated) They ask for passport and PR card not even say I photo copy !!!! When I reach out .. the old man says .... What DAW would do to him in a sarcastic way ... I’ve had only a few appointments at the Philippine Consulate General but each visit has always been quick and straightforward. The folks who work there are courteous and happy to help. The current rating they have on Google is not reflective of their 5-star service. Hopefully they get the recognition they deserve!
The most stressful to book an appointment! Booked one for Feb 13th and another one for Feb 14th. We wanna cancel the first one but it's not possible because we didn't even receive any email confirmation. No confirmation for Feb 14th too! I e-mailed them and told me to book another one, but afraid they won't take us if we double booked it on the same day. It won't even allow me to log-in on your website to access the appointments we made!
I was so disappointed yesterday I travelled way far by train just to pick up the SPA I get there before 4:30pm but they were closed. They were not answering any phone calls. On the website they were closed at 5pm. Terrible experience :-(
I went there to inquire about NBI/Police clearance from Manila. I approached this male staff, he is cocky when he was answering my question. When I asked him why the cost sounds like not reasonable and if I can just ask for the forms and I will do it myself instead, he became agitated and defensive. Telling me that it might take longer to process if my documents don’t have the consulate stamp on it and other things that he can think of just to scare me. 2nd time, same guy in the cashier. My wife approached him to inquire about the sss personnel, he answered my wife in a cocky, rude way. He is so arrogant. He did not even turned down the volume of his music while talking to her. My wife was so pissed off. My wife is a government employee here in Calgary. She can’t help but compare the differences between government employees here in canada and the Philippines. This employee i think, feels he has a sense of entitlement because he works for the Philippine Consulate. If this guy hates his job, please send him home, find someone who will serve the Filipinos better. Another thing, you guys should have a queuing system, very disorganized.
Horrible, you walk in and its a bunch of people sitting down and there is no indication of order. website states the services that they do INCLUDING VISAS I had to cut the "line" in order to find out what they can do for me, the guy says " WE DO NOT DO VISAS HERE YET, GO TO VANCOUVER" BUT I said " YOUR WEBSITE STATES YOU DO VISAS" the guy acknowledges that it is written on the website and told me to go away.
Good and fast service
Almost 3 years now, still waiting for myself and my boys dual Citizenship application. They are over age now. I went to the office in the Philippines in August to apply for my dual. I was told there is no record of my application. I still applied for new one. I was able to do the oath taking there the same day I called twice and left a messages for them to call me since last week. Nobody have the decency to call me. I'd like to know where my money went and what happened to my application .
It was a great experience. Sir Arman assisted us in Voter's Registration. He was patient and cool (not sounding irritated). Thanks so much Sir for your assistance.
I am very impressed with the service provided by PCG when I applied for my Travel Document. I sent an inquiry via email in advance prior to my visit and I was able to get my TD on the same day (processing is up to 3 days). TD is walk-in so I went as soon as I could at 9 am when they opened and got the TD at around 3 pm. I live far from Calgary so it definitely helped me save time and travel costs since I didn't have to come back. Staff were all very helpful too.
I’m grateful to those staff who were kind to me during my visit but feel sorry for them because some of their co-workers were somewhat rude and disrespectful. I have never felt intimidated before in any application services like this in Canada. I feel like they brought their personality as being bossy and poorly-cultured people back from the Philippines. I’m so much disappointed for that. I thought we were hospitable as ever to our own kababayans but I guess it’s not true for everyone.
The facility is tidy and has a good flow in terms of processing. I filed for passport renewal 2nd week of April 2018 and picked up the item August 8, 2018. Thanks to sir Earl, I appreciate his kindness and considerations when I have mistakenly brought and the wrong paperworks. His work ethic and stress free attitude is a good representation of the company.
Hi I recently had my passport renewed and I really need it the soonest .. there was no option to have it expedited like the one back home where you can have it done in 7 days .. standard time frame is 8 weeks I exchange emails with PCG office hoping that they can have this expedited since it’s really Urgent they didn’t promise anything but they Keep me posted everyday regarding the status of my passport .. I received it today via express post ..for a total of 4 weeks wait time ..thank you again for the quick response on my request .. More power to all the hardworking staff of Philippines Consulate Calgary ..

My first time to the Embassy went well. Everyone was polite and helpful. I had no issues and will be back in a week to pickup my paperwork.
Customer Service was excellent. Have your documents and ids photocopied before coming here because they do not have a photocopy machine.
Great experience today, been here twice already. We were there this morning for notarial and NBI finger printing, Dee was great, and Kuya from the NBI section is wonderful as well! Thank you for your quick service!! The only comment I have is the rude security, she may be on a bad day that early. Other than that, great experience at the Consulate, prompt, kind, flexible and willing to help! Truly appreciate your time this morning, I give both Dee and the staff at the NBI finger printing, 5 star for the assistance provided!
Today I called lots of times. As in looots. 130+ calls LITERALLY and no one answered the phone. On their page it stated that they only answer calls from 3pm to 5pm so I was prepared for this day and had to undertimed from work for 2 hours without pay. And it really boiled me and very pissed because of this. I have all the screen shots of my calls, 130+ calls for one and a half hours of wasting my time. Too bad it won’t let me post photos here. The phone would ring but no one will answer, from time to time it will direct me to a prompt that the line is busy for so many times so just right after the call will end I would immidiately CALL BACK again then it will ring again but ugh! no one will pick up the call!!! They won’t even reply my emails. I had them emailed 4 times already since last week but no response from the people who works there. So disgusting service!!!
Ms. Dee. Thank you very much for accommodating my questions today! I appreciate the efficient service!

Need service to improve, don't answer your email, don't answer your message on Facebook and even don't answer your phone calls it's better to ask to a fortune teller on inquiries about your application.
Excellent experienced. From the main floor screening up to the 9th floor, everybody were nice and polite. Wow!! quick service on passport renewal. Make sure to read the instructions on your email to insure a smooth and convenient appointment. Thank you PCGCC staff.
If I could only put zero star I WOULD !
(Translated) It was so fast to get my passport. It is very convenient that there is no need to fly to vancouver. Plus plane ticket and hotel. So, thank you very much. Thanks for your work here. (Original) It was so fast to get my passport. Napaka-convenient na hindi na kailangan pang lumipad papuntang vancouver. Plus plane ticket and hotel. Kaya, maraming salamat po. Salamat sa pagtatrabaho nyo rito.
Been calling their numbers for two days and nobody’s want to pick them up. The office doesnt accept visa and debit and we know that most of the people nowdays pay cards ot maybe they have a good reason why. They need more staffs to accommodate customers. Please make a change this 2018 for the sake of Filipinos abroad.
They do by appointment only since C-19 so things went smoothly and fast during my renewal.
This place is so disorganized, there's no queue nor an easy way to know who you need to talk to. Basically go in, talk to someone if they have been serviced or talk to the staff and hope they have time to deal with you. If not, just wait and wait. We walked away as the only staff that does dual citizenship was too busy checking in people for their oath taking.
I would like to thank our Consul General Mr. Zaldy Patron and his team for their efficient, friendly and accommodating service! All staff were courteous, gentle in their manner of speaking, made sure we were well attended, assisted us every step of the way. Covid 19 protocols were properly observed inside their office. Its new location is more convenient, spacious to accommodate more Kababayans and very easy to find. More power to our Philippine Consulate for striving to give the best service to our Filipino Community! God bless!
3 stars for equipment and technology, 5 stars for customer service. I always cringe if I need to deal with PHL government, but this time was a bit different. It was my first time to visit the consulate for my PP renewal on Aug 11,'18. The building was nice and clean. I had to street park at the centenial park and walk 7 minutes to the building. Not bad. Their wesbite was pretty clear to mention not to wait in the lobby and advise clients to arrive at 9am and follow building regulations. 8:57, I was surprised when the main sliding doors opened and saw a mass of Pinoys blocking the elevators. When we reached the 9th floor, someone from the crowd who stood in the lobby earlier than many started a signup list which should have been prohibited. Clients should only signup in the consul office to give chance to people who arrived the same time. 9am starts from the time clients enter the consul office. I don't know how the consul can manage this, but they should mention on their site that the official sign up list will be done only inside the consul office. There are better technologies that the consul should be using to manage wait times, like sms notification when a person is close to be served, ticket/number system. There should be 2 payment windows, and 5 passport photo stations to accommodate the sudden influx of clients. I entered the consul office at 9am and left 115pm for my passport renewal application. Clearly, they were under staffed. While waiting, they advised everyone to register for the upcoming elections. So, I used my wait time to register. The staff were nice, cordial and patient. I can compare their service with the experience I had in Doha PE, and PCG-Calgary is way pleasant to deal with. They knew that many people were tired, hungry and kids were agitated but they kept a good customer service. These guys will perform way better if given the right and enough tools for the job. Kudos to the staff. Please continue to be welcoming, smiling, straight to the point and you can start a change in people's perception about PHL Consulate offices. I hope that in the near future, your leaders will realize that we are far behind with the use of technology to make all our lives easy and comfortable. Use technology to your advantage!
It's basically useless to call them on the number because no body is answering it, all you will hear is voice recording!
Just like everyone said, it is possibly the worst consulate I have ever been too. The staffs were rude and disrespectful, even to elders. They talk like big people giving everyone directions in a rudely manner. No please, thank you, "po" and "opo" especially to elders (disappointing as this is big for us Filipinos). It was not organized, there were no lines when you enter. It is who can talk to the staff first that will get accommodated. Someone should reassess this location and put standards on service immediately. Ps. all staff went for break while at least 20-30 people wait in the facility.
Very accommodating. I arrived at the consulate before 12:00pm even though my appointment was set at 1:40pm and when I approached one of the staff (considering there were not a lot of people during that day), he accommodated me immediately. I left the place after 30minutes. Staff is very courteous.
Thank you for all the staff who are polite and kind. but for those who let applicants feel not welcome by the way they speak like boss and rude they should not be there as a public servant.
See you in April...
Quick and efficient. I wish they had a permanent office in Edmonton though.
Friendly and nice employees.???? Fast service????????
We were here during the Overseas Voting Registration. Kudos to Kuya Arman for a fast and orderly process of registration.
do you wanna go until Philippines?
They don't know how to do their jobs properly. My passport renewal has been suspended for over 4 months and didn't even bother calling me or sending me an email. They also don't answer calls. I had to go there myself to check if my passport and when i ask, they said that i need to go back and submit a birth certificate for the process to continue which i remember i already did prior to submitting the renewal form of the passport. Its a big inconvenience since i already had my plane ticket and to learn that i can't go because my passport isn't ready yet. Those people are just awful at doing their jobs.
Fast service
Poor Service!

Today I traveled from Edmonton to Calgary to get Visa to go to Japan for my daughter's wedding. I was refused by Consulate-General for visa. I was told that they need my PR card . Last excuse they have was my last name is wrong.I took other document as Immigration Canada told me to support Permanent Resident document . I'm very disappointed with Consulate-General of Japan, and also Citizenship and immigration Canada. It's so unfortunate that I will be not attending my daughter's wedding on April 2st,2016 at Japan because of all this ordeals. Well I have no intention to to my foot in Japan ever after. There are more better place in the world and better caring understanding people. No wonder Japanese are alcoholics...I came to know....
Terrible, very poor service! Most of the employees are rude specially the lady at the notarials desk. They said they can notarize but then when we ask for legalizing our papers they said they’re unable to do it. My mom and I are asking them nicely as we are not that sure of what the agency are requiring us about the sponsorship but instead of guiding and helping us she just told us to check the website for all the services they only offer. First time I have encountered a very rude and grumpy filipino employee. Not satisfied!!

Earl, Ted, LV, and Rodel were great. Everyone was smiling and welcoming. Even through COVID they’ve all been excellent. Very courteous and respectful of our time.
Fairly, service was fast and the officer was friendly and accommodating regarding my SPA processing request. I took a leave that day(Friday) to have my document processed. I requested that once finished, my document will be mailed out thru express envelope brought. The office called me several times and left voicemail for me to call them back. Due to nature of my job and no cellphone is allowed, I cannot accomodate their call which my break only I can make a call to them. I callled their number many number of times as suggested in their left voicemail but line kept on ringing to a point it says" voicemail is full". I called the next day but line kept ringing until same voicemail message saying it is full. Same issue the next day and the next day. I STRONGLY suggest that when you encouraged us to callback , please ensure that you can store voicemail messages so that clients may be able relay their circumstance to you . Most of the feedbacks/reviews here single out communication issue which is, the office cannot be reached when clients try to reach you. Presently, I never heard from them what are the details of my SPA processing issue nor any call made/voicemail to me the regarding status. Hopefully, I look forward to resolve my request in due time in their end.
My husband Aurelio and myself went to our Philippine Consulate in Calgary this morning. We would like to honour Armand, Ted, and Earl for the fast processing of our documents for the renewal of our Phil. passports. It took us 10 minutes only to finish the transaction!! Armand, Ted, and Earl were also accommodating and polite. We love the new location, too.It has a huge parking area beside it. This is much different to what we have experienced months before their transfer to the new location. Some of the staff there were rude. I didn’t see them anymore in. the new location. Mabuhay ang Filipino. Mapakumbaba, matulungin, magaling magtrabaho, mabilis! Ganyan tayo kahit saang sulok ng mundo!!! Happy Heritage Month 2021!!!
Processing passport renewal is as quick as a blink of an eye! The staff were friendly and very clear on the steps to follow????????????????????????
Had a positive experience. Went to renew our passport. The staff were very accomodating and friendly. We finish in less than 30 minutes.
All the staff are accommodating. Upon entering until you finish the renewal of passport they are hospitable ???????????? Good job ???????? Nice experience ????????
Lots of bad reviews here but i guess this was before the service was sorted out. We had a nice flow of our application from the first day till we picked up our passports. There was no hassle or whatsoever. Keep up the good work PCG Calgary!
This consulate is a big bust because I start in August 2020, to get a renewal appointment for my passport expired last December 2020 but until now no slot always fully book Always I'm so so disappointed ???? how I renewed my passport always no slot ????????????
QUESTION: the smallest of the small and the biggest of the big stores and businesses here has DEBIT AND CREDIT OPTIONS... WHY ARE YOU BRINGING HERE THE CASH ONLY POLICY FROM THE PHILIPPINES???????
Service is really good, make sure your paper work is in order, especially when you are applying for tourist Visa. Anything over 30 days you need this Visa.
I got the chance to visit the embassy to sccompany my mom and dad’s renewal of their passports and I can say that the staff we’re very helpful and organized. The processing we’re very quick and starightforward that only took us 20 mins, ahead of our appointment time. Staff we’re very friendly, respectful and and accommodating when we arrived.Thank you!
My last experience in PCG Calgary was not too bad although when I applied for a passport renewal due to my mutilated passport, the old guy keeps pressuring me to give the documents to the point that I can’t ask a simple question. But right now, guest satisfaction experience came now different than my previous visit. The staff are so polite and very professional . I came here yesterday to submit my dual citizenship application and the lady immediately acknowledges me and asks me to fill out the guest form. She also apologized for having a mistake hearing my purpose of visit. She thought that I am applying for a Philippine passport renewal. Haha! :D After a couple of minutes, Another lady (Marge) and as I sit in front of her, She politely asks for my documents and when I am trying to ask any inquiries or questions about dual citizenship, she’s answering me without any hesitation. :) . After my application is completed, I waited not too long to pay for consular fees. Thank you PCG Calgary for a prompt and professional service! ????✌️????
The service was really fast and efficient. no hassle even for 1st timers. very friendly staff too. especially that processor from pamplona 2 las pinas like me. thank you ????
It's really depends on how they do their job.. some applicants are having problem with the time release of their passports while mine arrived after 6weeks and I received an email that's it's ready for pick up its just it's really hard to make an appointment by phone...
This office doesn't answer phone calls at all whether morning or afternoon. I just wanted to know the status of my application. I tried calling them 20 times, 10 times in the morning and 10 times in the afternoon but the phone just keeps on ringing forever. I also tried sending them an email hoping they would respond but still got no answer. I double checked that I am using the correct email address posted in their website as per consular service. I've sent an email to them 5 times already but still got unlucky. :( Don't know what to do next... totally lost... :(
Last October 16, went to renew my passport and the staff there is very accommodating and very respectful, and very clean office…
Worst customer service ever! You can't even ask a question because the staff is pressuring you to give the requirements first before you can ask a question. Very rude and disrespectful. If the calls are not answered, atleast you should provide answers and clarifications to your clients in person. Staff was cutting me off when I was asking a question, so I didn't get what I need for clarifications. He was even insulting me that because I'm married to a foreigner, I have more money.. So rude..very unprofessional! That staff in the first section (bald man) should not be in charge there as he needs total customer service skills! It will ruin the image of the rest of the other staff who were accomodating and polite.
Service is pretty quick and organized. Staff were great. Our appointment is at 11:20, we arrived at the Consulate at 10:30 and we waited a bit and were done at 11:30. Make sure all requirements were complete, you don't have nothing to worry about the service. Read, understand and follow the instructions.
Useless doesn't answer emails or phone calls.
Just here dropping a 5-star review for Kuya Arman and Ate (unfortunately I didn't get her name) who was very accommodating during my Overseas Voting Registration earlier (10/09). Had a call from him couple of nights before my appointment, he was actually polite and gave very clear and concise instructions on what to bring etc.
Went here today and the staff were really helpful and polite. The service was fast too. It only took me 15mins to complete the process.
I have a 12 yr old son from other woman with me for our passport renewal 10 months ago The lady denied my son's application. Reason: failure to provide Authenticated Authorization letter from mother back home.I said seriously to her I am the father my son is under my costudy here in Canada for 4 years his mother is in the Philippines why do I need to ask authorization from her mother? She said "RULES"Was this f..rule makes sence? Til today for 10 months my son is holding expired passport because we cannot provide what this Calgary branch asking knowing that my son's mother is missing. Totally DISASTER
poor service...I apply last Dec.12 until now wala pa rin passport ko ...i badly need it to submit to the CIC...finally i got my new passport...guess what ??? its sitting in the consulate office for 35days...my friend was in Manila and check it (DFA Taft) DFA Taft told her that Calgary consulate office received my passport last Jan.31,2017 . I asked my friend to get the name of the person who gave her the info and also the tracking # . Coz i want to go back in the Consulate Office and ask them to explain to me why they didn't release my passport ...
Thank you for accommodating my family in renewing our passport. The staff are very nice. The the process is really fast.
Be aware that Google Maps didn’t update the red marker/pin but the location/address is correct. So, I took photo the front door of the Consulate. Search for Palliser Parkade (Palliser South) for parking, or Waves Coffee coz the consulate is just across the street if these are your reference point. Anyway, there are lots of parking area nearby. The Staff are very accommodating and the Office is nice and tidy.
To be fair, when I went to renew my passport "in person" the process was fast and staff were generally ok. But when you try to call ALL of their phone numbers, you have a better chance of winning the lottery than getting your calls answered by this office. PHILIPPINE CONSULATE CALGARY OFFICE IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A HOLD OF. Your staff is the reflection of the Filipino community and so far deliberately not answering phone calls is giving a bad impression to the consulate we all respect.
Filipino behavior brought in Calgary. I finished the first part before 3 persons that aren't senior nor minors but got entertained in the cashier (part 2) after the 3 persons after me was done. During the picture taking, both guys just sat there wasting everybody's time when there are piles of file to be done for picture taking. Just because you serve Filipinos doesn't mean you have to act the same way as you do back in the country. You guys are lucky we can't do it somewhere else in Calgary.
(Translated) I hope you answer your phone. I don't have numbers to call but when called at the time you said on your website, you hang up. About 50x calls but nothing. I emailed pro, it will take 2 weeks without reply, even if there is no auto reply. Then last time I passed a passport to a Filipino, I understand, your female officer is still saying a lot in a sarcastic voice. He hasn't even surprised me yet, he tells me it happened. Bastos. Di pa nakaget over pati sa akin sinasabi nya ngyari. Bastos.
Very helpful, very accommodating. These people deserve more appreciation. Thank you Arman and the person at the door.
I went to the Consulate today to apply for passport renewal and for notarization of SPA. I was truly surprised and impressed with how streamlined the whole process was. My whole business was completed quickly in 10 minutes. The staff were very polite and efficient. Covid protocols were enforced and entry into the space was limited and controlled. The whole area was also clean and tidy. I can honestly say this was the most pleasant transaction I have ever had with any Philippine agency. Kudos to Consul Zaldy Patron and his team for making this so. You set a good example for Filipinos.

This place is my preferable restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to this restaurant. everytime I I need a fair lunch, this place comes instantly to my mind. excellent and all kinds of food and a rich menu.great staff members, and agreeable ambience. Also, the tariff is decent. I recommend this spot with no hesitation.

try to call but no one answer
People that work here are very rude.... Just updating, this place needs to change their hours of operation to closing at 3:00pm because after that they dont seem to have staff or want to help you.
one word : Rude.
Nice stuff
I visited them only to check out my SSS. I was entertained right away. And the representative helped me by updating my records, e-mailing all my contributions details and give me all info and updates that I need beyond my expectation.
(Translated) When I entered the office, they were busy, the others were sitting, the others were just standing, maybe the ones who were assisting the entrants were not there ... if you walk in, it will take you a little longer because others do not have a photo copy of the passport. I made an appointment because I filled up the form and completed the requirements that can be found online that are needed so quickly ... it only took me 15mi. Plus done thanks (Original) Nung pag pasok ko sa office busy sila dami nakaupo yung iba nakatayo kulang lang siguro dun yung mag aasist sa mga pumapasok... kung walk in ka medyo mag tatagal ka kasi iba walang photo copy ng passport mga ganun tapos dun pa nag fifillup ... nag pa appointment kasi ako and nag fill up nako ng form and kinompleto mga requirements na makikita online na kailangan kaya mabilis ... inabot lang ako ng 15mi. Service: Notarial/RedRibbon Went to PC Calgary from Edmonton. Had all my documents ready along with pre-stamped envelope so I don’t have to return coz it’s a bit of a drive. Arrived at noontime and there was no line up, they had sign in sheets for each service. I didn’t have to wait long to be served. The gentleman who attended to me was nice and polite. Had some verifying questions for me, showed Valid Ids, signed documents, got witnesses there to sign, and then off to pay the fee. Overall a pleasant experience for this type of service. Now I just need to wait for it in the mail as per their service commitment time for processing and delivery.
i was trying to set an appointment for a passport renewal. i try to call them a lot of times but there no one answering the phone i also try to sent by email i havent receive a reply on my emails can someone can help me out ?
Very terrible service. On their site it says that no waiting before opening which they open 9am but when we came in around 8:40am we were suprised that there were people already inside waiting. We travelled hours for my brother to get his passport renewed. I guess one day is not enough for this, we JUST WAITED FOR 5 HOURS! We are in Canada so please if anyone could fix this very slow service. We were really disappointed.
The people working here are incompetent. Worst customer service ever!
While most of the staff were nice enough, the processes in place are inefficient. I had to go twice to register for Overseas Voting. Why not have an appointment system in place instead of asking people to try again the next day? After I went back the following day (12:30pm), the staff went on lunch break and we were told they would resume at 2pm. Not the best experience.
No words can describe how disappointed I am at this place.
Emails are not responded on timely basis. I phone called several times, no one answered but the machine. Very very poor service.
Terrible service!!! Better to delete your phone numbers from your contact infos 'coz I find them useless as no one answer phone calls!!! Phoned them all day but no luck!!!
I want to give thumbs up to our kababayan ,good job for the system specially this kind of situation ,they really assure that you wash hands and have mask when you come in ,and to Miss Elvie your the best, she very soft spoken and very helpful that’s why I did my passport renewal quickly ????,More Power ????
The rudeness in this place is too much. Won’t be coming back here ever.
You would think that a Consulate is an extension of the Government of the Philippines, so why would they tell me to phone Philippines airlines to inquire about Covid restrictions upon arrival in Manila? It is the Consulates responsibility to know these things!!! They are representing the Filipino community and they can’t even do that properly!!
When I went in the office, I didn’t know where to go first as there’s no sign or any instruction. And when I talked to the lady at the notarial, she’s very rude not only to me to other people inquiring. While she was checking my documents, she entertained a phone call that took her almost 30mins before she came back with me refusing my application because I am missing the original birth certificate for the renewal of my kid’s passport. I got so mad because I was there waiting for her to finish and just deny my application without much explanation. This is really dissapointing knowing that the kids already applied for a passport before so DFA should already have an original copy of the birth certificate. Anyways, I went on to process mine instead and after she’s done checking my docs, she gave me the docs and said pay it to the guy next to her. Why can’t she just give the docs directly to that guy and the guy will just start calling our names so we don’t have to figure out who’s going first. So as expected, everybody stands out and attempted to go first because there’s no line up or priority number. And he will respond by saying “upo ka muna, sya yung mauna”. That’s really so unprofessional. And when it’s my turn to pay, I got used on paying debit or credit card (this is canada) and there’s not a single sign that says cash only. So I literally took out my debit card only to know that he won’t accept cards. Just cash. It’s such a waste of time. If I only knew that through a sign, I could have gone to an atm machine while waiting for my turn. To whoever is the head of that office, please try to improve the process and your customer service. Time is so valuable and your customers need to be treated right as we are paying for your services. And why can’t you accept debit or credit cards? Can you not afford to pay for merchant fees? Canadian government accepts any type of payment. Why can’t you. Anyways, your people needs customer service training. They are very sarcastic and not helpful. Their faces are not pleasant and unapproachable as if they’re always mad. Nobody likes to deal with that kind of people.
Thumbs up to Sir Eric Aquino.our calgary consulate. Very approachable person. Thank you so much Sir.. God bless you for helping filipino. From Regina Medel
I wish that I could post negative stars. Traveled in 3 hours arrived at opening sat all day horrible
no one answer the phone i tried many times..
Although the staff are very busy helping many people they take the time to answer all your questions and make sure that you have a very clear understanding of the process and how everything needs to be done. There are some questions they wont be able to answer, in which case it is best to contact the Japanese Immigration centre in Tokyo. Ask for an English speaker and you will have no problems!
Their office needs to hire competent workers. There's no efficiency at all. One of the worker emailed me their old address and wasted my whole morning looking for the office and paid so a lot for the parking. When I finally found the office, the queue is long. I was told to home back 1pm which I did but waited there for fifteen minutes and there's no one attending the long queue of clients waiting to be serve. I drove 2.5 hours to register for OV and it was so useless because of incompetent workers at the consulate office. We should have appointment then we can't be late for our work. I was told it will only take 10 minutes for each client but I doubt it. Looking at the queue tsk tsk there's no way that they're doing an efficient job since those queueing are those queueing since 11 am when I get back there at 1 pm. After 20 minutes of waiting I decided to leave bec I have to work at 4 pm. So slow and maybe they need to change the way they work and not wasting our time and money.
Me and Son last july 18 2019 Renewing our passport. I have great experience staff very helpful and polite. Thank you very much Philippines Consulate Calgary.. Mabuhay po kayung lahat.. God Bless you all.. salamat po..
Very nice service. I made a suggestion Google maps to change the pin on map. It has the right address but pin was wrong when my mom went there. Hope they will update it soon to help others locate it easily. I think it would help to search Calgary Business center as well.
Very poor service. I had an appointment at 9 am and I arrived on time but the man guarding the door didn’t let me in and even told me my appointment was 10:30. I told him to double check and I was right. He didn’t even apologize. I swear they have the rudest employees i’ve ever met.
Suggestion : I suggest that all the staff here should have their name plates or name tags worn so that clients may address them properly. Date of visit: Feb 13 and 14, 2020
I had a great experience. Sir Miguel gave me the best assistance possible. Maraming salamat PCG Calgary!
Very poor service. I was there just to pick up papers for my mom, because even providing them with Express envelope to send the papers, they still did not made it our house. When I approached the cashier, I was told that papers from Edmonton get lost and that theyll try to find my mom's papers, and I was told to wait. They made me wait for at least half hour. When I asked again to make sure they are still looking for the papers, the guy asked me what I'm talking about and very oblivious of what I'm talking about. He obviously forgot about it. Once they finally found it, the lady that delivered it to me still have the courage to blame it on us. The service is very unprofessional. It took an hour to pick something up.
Kudos to Calgary Consulate's Ms. Dee, Miguel, and whoever is involved in the processing of travel documents. Even in times of Covid-19. we appreciate their best efforts to accommodate the request for travel document of our son. We were so grateful that the document arrived on time. Thank you so much.
Had my passport renewed in less than 5 minutes. Very efficient and courteous people. To the one saying that they are "UNEDUCATED"? Kindly check yourself first. You can't even use "is and are" in your sentence properly.
My passport been sitting at their office since December 16,2016 but until now I haven't received it yet I can't even track it they said it already at Canada post but I called Canada post they can't Track the number of my mailing envelope ,I've been calling them from 9am till 4pm but no body answered I have an emergency I need my passport but no one can help me about this!!!! I'm begging them to help me but no answer from them!!!!!

We were accomodated without fuss and for an out of towner like us , this is a big relief .Thank you Arman for your kind gesture !
Very poor service! Staff don’t know how to smile...
Excellent experienced! To the whole team great job! The passport renewal so fast and the new building is bigger and well organized. To Earl, the cashier sorry I don't get her name and to Kuya Arman for helping me out on my OV registration. Thank you!

(Translated) I want to say thank you so much for a nice accommodation ... because I experienced the last time I went to the Consulate, asking you questions instead of responding properly so that the response will be answered! (Original) I want to say thank you so much for a nice accommodation ... kasi po I experienced the last time na ngpunta ako sa Consulate, na pgnagtanong ka eh sa halip na sagutin ka ng maayos eh sasagutin ka ng pabalang!
Worst service Filipino style.
I had awesome service at the consulate this morning. The young woman I spoke with was friendly and knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions.
I was here last Saturday to check and see if I can able to register my son's birth here in Canada (late registration). They are open on Saturday from 9AM till 12PM. I arrived there around 10AM. And right when I opened the door, one of the representative entertained me right away. The place wasn't busy and it's very quiet. The person who helped me was knowledgeable and she was very nice. And there's another person who was helping as well. As my situation is a bit complicated, they explained to me the process. Though I didn't accomplished my goal that day, I learned a lot of things from them as I do not have anybody to tell me this or that. I guess when you come to the consulate, make sure you go to their website before anything else. All their forms are there and any information that you need. So that when you arrive, all your papers are ready. Always bring photocopies with you. Do not expect free copying machine. Buy your own printer to print your documents. Or go to Shoppers Drug mart to photocopy your papers. If you applied for passport and waiting for the result, I think you should stop calling them just to follow up. It is the same thing in Toronto, Ontario, once you provide them a return envelope, they will send it to you once it's ready. Make sure you write your return address and not them to write it for you. It is your responsibility to take care all your application. If your passport is for pick up, make sure ask them how long does it take for you to wait. If it got delayed, keep in mind that no matter what happen, they will have your application. I never have any problem with the consulate. Everything is fast. I think you just have to learn to understand things. You cannot just go there and be grumpy about your situation because you didn't get what you want. Some Filipino have ATTITUDE. If you treat people like that, you will get it back. Some are stupid and no matter how you tell them, they won't listen. And also, When you are at the consulate, it follows the Philippine law not Canada law. Although they are in Canada. No matter what you say that they supposed to be nice because they are in Canada and they cannot be rude, I think they are nice. It's just that they are human as well. Especially if they are under staffed, they try their best to help everyone. If you are saying that they use the same bulok na system in the Philippines, I think you are rude. Have more patience and just cooperate. You are in Canada anyways, you said people here are nice, so I guess you are one of them? Please note: They are only open Saturday, once every month.
My husband and I had a great experience applying for dual citizenship. We did not wait long. My husband lost his last Philippine passport but a simple affidavit and a fee fixed it up right away. The staff were well mannered and very professional. So happy we finally have a consulate in the city.
No one is ever answering my calls every single day. I dont know if there are still people working here. This should be fixed.
I was truly impressed with the efficiency, speed and accuracy that my notarial and authentication needs were addressed. The staff were friendly and professional. The office was clean and health protocols were diligently followed. Kudos to Consul Patron for ensuring needs of our kababayans are attended to in a timely manner. Mabuhay!

We had an appointment here at PCG Calgary at 9 in the morning. We were there exactly at 9 because we know how important this is. Around 9am, they started calling us inside and the guy in the processor is nice, it just took us few minutes. However, when we had to pay in the cashier, we had to wait about 40 minutes before the cashier got there. She was late for her work! She didn't even say sorry to us for being late. Her lack of punctuality is so unprofessional and inconsiderate with other people's time. It was a bad experience because we had to wait for her instead of finishing early and take note, we were first in line that time. Our appointment should've just took us around 10 minutes but because of the cashier being late, we took almost an hour. While we were waiting, the people inside are ordering their food for lunch and they didn't even bother telling us that the cashier is running late. We had to guess what's happening. Overall, the people working here are unprofessional and they have some attitude. They should start to treat people with kindness, respect, and consideration.

(Translated) I wish the consulate in calgary would be gone, they just came back to the Philippines with no money .. especially the old man in front, the door right next to the earphone is very rude, you just ask very cheap answer ignorant. you are not in the Philippines you canada, the people here are respectful, they are not even ashamed of their attitude. You pay for the service you provide so you can work. actually zero star zero ratings i just d post it because i need to click (Original) sana itong consulate sa calgary mawala na dito, umuwi na lang sila sa pilipinas wala naman silang kwenta.. lalo na yung matanda nasa harap, pagpasok nasa tapat ng pinto yung naka earphone napaka rude, magtanong ka lang napakabastos sumagot walang pinag aralan. wala kayo sa pilipinas nasa canada kayo, yung mga tao dito respectful, hindi man lang sila mahiya sa attitude nila. bayad kayo sa serbisyo na binibigay nyo kaya ayosin nyo trabaho nyo. actually zero star zero ratings yan d ko lang ma post kasi kailangan i click
i went today for passport renewal, and i can say it's fast. at first i was worried due to all the negative comments that i'm reading so i prepare my self to stay there for longer time, but to my surprise it's very fast, i even went home to get my original documents that i forgot to bring, then returned to process, and after 20mins i'm done! the only down side is the cash payment, hopefully in future they will accept debit atleast, more staff and there should be instructions/steps in the wall to follow, but all in all.. it's good! especially if you bring all the required requirements.. thanks for coming here in calgary
the service is good
The lady on the phone was so rude and arrogant. She talk like a bossy. She always said ma'am but the tone of her voice is rude. She's not deserve to her job.

Im so thankful to all the effort our PCG- Calgary is doing to reach those who are far from the City. Thanks for all your hard work.
What an excellent service, thank you for allowing me to have same schedule with my hubby. I feel that I was in the Philippines ???????? with the very respectful and ever smiling employees

I live up north I tried calling every single day " THE MAILBOX YOU ARE CALLING IS CURRENTLY FULL AND CANNOT ACCEPT NEW MESSAGES. TRY CALLING AGAIN LATER." What a waste of time
This is the worst consulate for any country I have ever visited. Rude and disinterested staff. I am not a Filipino and was at the consulate for other business. NOT A GOOD WAY TO REPRESENT YOUR COUNTRY ABROAD.
Very organized and nice to people. Very different from most of the government services in the Phils. where employees are grouchy and unpolite to the people they serve to. Keep it up.

me & my wife went to this office to renew her passport on July 06/17. In my opinion they need 3 people working in front not including the 2 gentleman assess for pictures & NBI...why because if they have enough staff i'm pretty sure they can accommodate every applicants in a short period time. One more thing about making appointment over the phone, make sure they have one person who assigned to answer & assess the applicants for booking appointment because its frustrated to the applicants keep calling & no one pick up the phone or no one callbacks. In my observation that day on your office is pretty busy, so making adjustment to have more staff's is big help for your office. All i can say i am very thankful to you guys,we got the passport.
Thank you PCG Calgary staff for accomodating this out-of-towner. Few tips for visitors not familiar with the area. There are paid parking along 1 St. SE, an outdoor parking lot beside the building, and another in the building across (Palliser South). Masks are still required. Make sure you have all required documents and copies as there's no photocopying available. For notarization services, have 1 copy of each document and 2 copies of your ID FOR EACH DOCUMENT. So if you have 3 SPAs, you need 6 copies of your ID (if your spouse is signing to prove consent, same number of copies of their ID is needed). Don't forget the return envelope.
ONE QUESTION?.. HOW COME YOUR ONLY ACCEPTING CASH, BANK DRAFT AND MONEY ORDER for payment?. Is there's something wrong of using DEBIT MACHINE 'cause even a small restaurant, mini store etc. in Canada are using card machine as a mode of payment. ????
The guy on the front is very rude and bossy to us ????????
Never answered the phone. not even reply to the voice mail.
Nobody answers their phones. All 4 phone numbers are always unanswered and voicemail boxes are all full. I have been trying for WEEKS to contact someone to no avail. They don't even answer their email. One would think that there would be a sense of urgency from the people who work at the consulate. It is very annoying considering that one only needs to contact the consulate for specific needs and when you do, you can't even speak to anyone. Hope they can get their act together soon.
Very poor service, does not respond to email nor phone calls, don’t even accept voice mail.
(Passport renewal) My appointment was at 11:55 a.m, I came in at 11:20 , was helped right away and I was done by 11:45. It wasn’t too busy so the wait wasn’t long at all. The staff were very friendly. While being helped and while waiting, they engaged on small-talk and joking around. Just waiting for the new passport now. (When my mom came around mid June, she had the same experience and her new passport came in beginning of July)
Worst customer service ever! Staffs are very rude, roll their eyes and sigh in front of you when you ask something. The staff who's taking pictures for the passport is kind and polite. But the bald men are horrible HORRIBLE people!
We asked if they had a photocopier we could use, they said no but there was literally one right in front of us and made me walk 15 minutes to the library so i could get copies.
Employees doesn't care about the applicants. Very awful service. Nobody is answering the phone.
Efficient, fast and quality services!
(Translated) Very efficient even when they are understaffed. It only took us 10 minutes from the interview process to the picture taking. Book an appointment. Those who complain there are just a long walk-in and then no consideration. You have been given the strength to growl. Thank you they are still receiving walk-ins they are already lacking in people. Keep up the good work Calgary PCG. Your efforts are highly appreciated. (Original) Very efficient even when they are understaffed. I think we all have different experience but the last time I was at the embassy, all the staff that helped me were very nice and accommodating. The officer that helped was efficient and she made me feel comfortable by talking about the province was born in the Philippines while she was doing the paper work. She made the process more relaxing
Thank you for a wonderful service specially to the lady who help us and her name is Ms. Dee. Question? Do you do dry seal or notary seal?

Booking system is ridiculous. Been constantly checking on the website for any available spots for passport renewal but no luck of course. Wonder how is this fair for everyone!
Sadly, this office is a mirror of the poor quality of service that most Philippine citizens get from the government. Typical bureaucratic and inefficient. They get days off for holidays both in Canada and the Philippines, and works less than 8 hours a day. But this is not what I'm extremely disappointed about. They publish in their website service schedules and phone numbers but NOTHING EVER WORKED. You'd call a number that takes you to a voice prompt saying this line is for emergency only, but no one ever picks up instead redirects you to a voice mailbox. What would happen if someone out there genuinely needs immediate help? And then you call the other numbers that have proven to be all useless and a waste of resource because no one ever answers. Then you take the effort to show-up to their office only to sympathize with people whose personal stories and situations are being broadcasted by those insensitive Consulate people. Consulate folks, please up your game - may we remind you that you are in a foreign land representing the government of our country. We are expected to live the values of this country and provide services at par if not exceeding the kind that we get here.
I called the Philippine Consulate general office in Calgary today October 6 at 10:05 am. Eric, the Consul in the Philippine Consulate General Office is a very respectful and helpful person. He also patient and prompt in responding to the many questions I asked him. Thank you Consul Eric !
All the staff is very helpful and accommodating especially sir Arman.
the guy working here is very rude....
I called twice to ask for clarifications and both calls were answered rudely. If I can give less than one star I will. No customer service at all! If this is their kind of service on the phone, how much more if you go there.
Thank you very much Ms. Dee for updating my document and you are very kind answering my questions.god bless u always❤
They have the most helpful staff. I needed some resources and they were so quick to help. Thank you! ❤️
Theres a rude officer I’ve met there, he shouldn’t be there in his position, very unpolite and unprofessional. He’s not doing his job well. He should fo back to where he is belong.
What is the point of putting a telephone number if no ones gonna be answering anyway.
Probably the WORST consulate I have ever been to. No one knows what is going on. Everyone is RUDE and disrespectful! Plan to be here for hours because no one knows what is going on. If you ask a question they will talk over top of you and try to assume what you are asking and then of course get it wrong. YOU WILL BE IN A VERY BAD MOOD AFTER HAVING TO DEAL WITH THIS NUTSHOW!!!!!!!!
People who work here is VERY RUDE AND ARROGANT most likely UNEDUCATED.

(Translated) We had a slight problem with the release date of my son's newly renewed passport. The expiry of your said passport will overtake us if we are traveling with the old passport because it will be vacated. I just joked and waited for my answer. And accordingly, it was a way of sending us smoke to arrive and receive it before our flight date. Thanks to an Earl Alonzo for responding to my call and concern. God is good all the time. At ayon, nagawan nga ng paraang maipadala asap para umabot at matanggap namin before our flight date. Salamat sa isang Earl Alonzo sa pagtugon sa aking tawag at concern. Mabuhay po kayo kabayan!!... GOD is good all the time.
The man (Aaron) who was helping me over the phone was not at all helpful, and most definitely not customer service material. He had an attitude, was annoyed, and had no problem showing it. In fact, he didn't want to help me and had no problem telling me. WOW! Way to represent Philippines!
They didn't even tell us thru email/Text/Call that they change their address
They don't even deserve a ONE star. Called and emailed a few times about my renewal of passport because I was pretty sure they mailed my passport to the wrong address and I actually got one reply after many emails and phone calls and it wasn't even helpful at all. I had to call Canada Post Main Office to get the help I need. Very rude and unprofessional. Worst experience ever! I wouldn't recommend them.
I would like to commend Dee Samoro for her kind assistance in processing my sister in law and her family's dual citizenship application. My family and I sincerely appreciate everything that you do. I wish you well and more power to your team.
Mr. Arman is amazing, he is a very helpful and accomodating employee, my family went to phil. Consulate Calgary last 2019 for applying dual citizenship he is the one who speak and help us, and this March 10, 2021 we go back to register for absentee voting and he is the same guy who entertained us again. GOOD JOB MR. ARMAN. Thanks and God will bless you more.
My family had a major emergency in the Philippines, and we had to do everything in rush and last minute, so we had our tickets bought and everything but apparently my passport was expired and we live in Olds 45 minutes away from Calgary, our flight was at 5 and we called in if we can get an emergency travel letter or whatever there was that can help me fly to the Philippines with an expired passport because I had to make it to the funeral, and through phone we were told it would take 45 minutes and all I had to do was come up to the counter and talk to anybody there. when I got there, This "staff" member "listened" to me as I explained everything but to his rudeness he whispered under his breath "Alam nyong 5 flight nyo 2 ka dadating dito" and the other staff members had to audacity to laugh at my situation and they had fill up some forms and took them 10-15 whole minutes to get to me even when they were just infront of me and I was practically waving the papers infront of them. my great apologies for our side and our fault but as i've mentioned above we had to do everything in rush and last minute.
Awesome experience. Margie at the consulate was very accomodating to everyone. Thanks Margie!

Cons: • sobrang rude ng ibang empleyado. • They are intimidating and unapproachable. • • • Hindi man lang sila marunong magexplain ng maayos. • Masyado ding mataas ang tono ng boses at hindi marunong makisuyo. • They do not treat people with respect. • • • •Masyadong unprofessional kung magtanong at magpaliwanag. • and INCONSIDERATE....
No one answered to my calls and emails for passport renewal and I dont live in this city. Please help i need to some reply from you guys.
(Translated) The person facing the person must be understanding and human and know how to treat people. I don't give you the attitude of not knowing if he has a crazy head or a problem in life or if he is just sad and feeling that you need to feel sorry for him. Hi Woman notarized at the consulate. not everyone you encounter will understand you for the attitude you show to the person. Maybe, the next time we see you, I won't be able to control you and talk to you and wake up to the fact that we went there man and you respect us and I can just lower your self -esteem as you thought you were. you're tall enough to make us swallow your behavior that we need to be afraid of you, OMG you're in Canada and you can settle down. thank you and I'll be in a hurry but when I give you your attitude towards me as well as the old man next to me I'll complain about how they're going. I want you to work in front of people and be approachable to people and explain well what they should do so that they don't come back to you. And I also hope that you have someone who will answer and back check your message so that my people don't look stupid about how to talk to you. system well with heart and all will end happily and with gratitude.
I was entertained nicely and accomodated right away on my appointment time. The good thing and i like most is they still speak Tagalog.
Feel sorry for the lady in front desk, she is so rude and disrespectful.. She is very bossy and thinks she knows everything..but NOT!! Her attitude is not fit for her job.. I would suggest not to bring her in front desk as the feedback and review for the philippine consulate will bring Filipino down... ????????♀️ I hope the Consulate of the Philippines will monitor those kind of employees attitude.. Over all, service is poor!!!
I called today at 2;40pm regarding my son's passport, almost 2 months now no passport yet, I renewed the passport in Calgary July 10, until now September 26 almost 2 months now, until now nothing. service is not good, how much longer until we get it
(Translated) I phoned the hotline to ask questions regarding the requirements for lost passport. The guy that answered the phone is not helpful at all. Always "Look at the website." Yes, you have a website but we will not call you if we have any questions. Calgary is far away, it is difficult to get back if there is a lack of paperwork or something is wrong. The man who answered the phone, you can tell from his voice that he is not happy to answer the phone call and questions. He can be sarcastic too. Worthless... (Original) I phoned the hotline to ask questions regarding the requirements for lost passport. The guy that answered the phone is not helpful at all. Laging "Tignan nyo po sa website." Oo, you have a website pero di kami tatawag sa inyo kung waka kaming tanong. Malayo ang Calgary, hirap magbalikan kung kulang papeles or may mali. Ung lalaki na sumagot ng phone, you can tell from his voice na he is not happy to answer the phone call and questions. He can be sarcastic too. Walang Kwenta...
Scheduling passport renewal here is totally POOR. Oftenly, I've been checking the website for availability but always fully booked.I Just checked yesterday for the month of June that I was waiting to make appointments was already NOT available. Could you please post advance available schedules for the whole year that your services be made convinient? TIA
I tried calling them for some clarifications, the lady who answered was rude and arrogant (Aug. 5, 2020 @ 9:53am - I am giving time stamp just so they can pin point who that person is as this is not the only bad review they got about their phone etiquette). Maybe they should assign someone else to answer the phone who have knowledge in good customer service. They are a public servant after all.
