Made an appointment for today Jan 23 at 1pm with the online booking. Got a confirmation email for the appointment. No answer at the door, called 5 times and even left a voice mail that I have yet to hear back from. Waited 30 mins with no one ever coming. Left to find another place that had available booking at the last minute so I could have my documents completed on time.

Please DO NOT waste your time like we did. There was nothing professional about this place and it was probably the worst customer service experience we’ve had. Matt did not introduce himself (only learned his name from the business card), did not allow us to ask any questions and, worst of all, could not help us with ANY of the basic documents we brought to him. He was also running 15 minutes late despite the fact we booked an appointment online a few days ahead of time. On top of this, he rushed us out of his office because he double booked himself! We don’t even understand why he couldn’t help because he talked over us the whole time and refused to answer any questions. Unbelievably, he gave us his business card at the end as if we would ever consider returning. I hope you also learn from our terrible experience and go to a professional instead.

I had an IMM0006e form signed by Elizabeth in December of last year. Because of the delay with processing time due to COVID, I was told in June this year that my application was rejected because Ms. Barnstead hadn't written her name on the line of the form where she was supposed to. When I called her in June about it, she said that because her name was on her stamp, the processors didn't usually care and she didn't usually bother to write it in. I have to ask: why jeopardize your client's applications by not correctly filling out documents they're PAYING you to complete as your job dictates because, as said in your own words, 'they usually don't care'? Especially knowing processing times can take months, and are extended by COVID. On another note her fee exceeds other businesses -- that I've since had notarize it correctly the first time -- by double the price. I would not recommend this service and would advise potential customers to look elsewhere if you want your forms to be completed correctly.

Waste of my time. I had an appointment booked and I showed up on time, his vehicle was in the driveway, dogs came to the door and barked at me, very annoying while I'm waiting for the guy to come to the door, after getting barked at for about 5 minutes I got back into the car and tried calling 3 times and got no answer. I get that things happen but you'd think if you run a business you'd atleast answer your phone and let the person know that something came up. Very unprofessional.

We needed a document notarized for a US land deal. Bonavista Notary is registered with the US Consulate in Calgary and therefore were able to notarize the document and send it to the US Consulate to be verified. Saved us a lot of time not having to go downtown and worked fantastic!

She was quick and helpful however because it was an in home business she had her dogs there. She barely made any attempt to put them in another room. As soon as I entered they jumped all over me and once I sat down one began biting my feet. Only after it was very evident that I was uncomfortable did she shut them out of the room. I am not afraid of dogs but I would caution anyone who is. Her service was reasonably priced and quick.

I used Bonavista Notary to notarize documents for a probate application. The wrong stamps were used, documents were incorrectly noterized resulting in the probate application being rejected. I had to redo all the work using a different Notary. Bonavista did not bother responding to my request for a refund nor recognize the errors as outlined by the Court. I would not recommend this business.
